Systems and processes employing wet/dry suction filter
Water or wastewater filtration systems and processes have a filter tank having a floor and sidewall defining a filtration zone, an influent conduit, and an effluent conduit. One or more filtration members in the tank having filter media, and one or more cleaning members adjacent at least some portions of the filter media. Generating an effluent stream by generating a pressure differential across submerged portions of the filtration media, causing water in the influent to flow from outside to inside the submerged portions of the filter media. A prime mover rotates the filtration members. A blower and chamber for creating a reduced pressure condition in each of the cleaning members when they are non-submerged, the chamber receiving wet solids removed from non-submerged, wet solids-laden portions of the filter media by the non-submerged cleaning members subsequent to submerged, fouled portions of the filter media being rotated out of the filtration zone.
APPARATUS, SYSTEMS, AND PROCESSES EMPLOYING WET/DRY SUCTION FILTER WITH CHICANED SUCTION HEAD
Water or wastewater filtration systems and processes have a filter tank having a floor and sidewall defining a filtration zone, an influent conduit, and an effluent conduit. One or more filtration members in the tank having filter media, and one or more cleaning apparatus adjacent at least some portions of the filter media. Generating an effluent stream by generating a pressure differential across submerged portions of the filtration media, causing water in the influent to flow from outside to inside the submerged portions of the filter media. A prime mover rotates the filtration members. A blower and chamber for creating a reduced pressure condition in each cleaning apparatus when they are non-submerged, the chamber receiving wet solids removed from non-submerged, wet solids-laden portions of the filter media by the non-submerged cleaning apparatus subsequent to submerged, fouled portions of the filter media being rotated out of the filtration zone. The non-submerged filter media from which wet solids have been removed is further cleansed of collected solids and entrapped water employing air drawn from inside of the one or more drum filters by the blower.
Backwashing suction device for fabric filtration apparatus
A backwashing suction device for a fabric filtration apparatus, and more particularly, a backwashing suction device for a fabric filtration apparatus in which an edge surface of a suction slit through which pile threads exit is inclined to form a slope so that the pile threads introduced into the suction slit when a fiber disk filter is rotated for backwashing come into contact with the slope and thus the amount of angular rotation of the pile threads is increased to increase the backwashing effect. Also, since a plurality of friction protrusions are formed to protrude from the slope, the effect of removing foreign substances can be further enhanced through the effect of rubbing and washing the pile threads on a washboard while the pile threads ascend over each of the friction protrusions one by one.
Rotary drum screen method for thin stillage filtration
A rotating drum screen method for separating solids from thin stillage obtained from ethanol fermentation, the thin stillage comprising one or more of solids and suspended solids. Thin stillage is chemically treated with an anionic polymer to form stable particles of one or more of solids and suspended solids. Introducing the treated thin stillage into a rotating drum screen system. The drum screen includes a filter screen that retains at least a portion of the solids within a hollow portion of the drum screen and which produces a liquid effluent that is discharged from an outer surface of the drum screen. The retained solids are removable from the drum screen via a solid discharge end. A head box is disposed within the hollow portion of the drum screen and has a plurality of fluid flow channel dividers dividing and directing an influent stream outwardly against the drum screen.
Externally Fed Screen for Filtration
A food processing water filtration apparatus includes a rotatable drum, a source of liquid, a blade to remove solids from the drum, a drain, and a rotational drive. The system has one or more of a plurality of flights affixed to the drum, a source of mixing gas connected to the source of liquid, a source of cleaning gas connected to nozzles disposed inside the drum, and a trunnion support for an end of the drum. The drum is cylindrical and at least partially comprised of a screen. The source of liquid directs liquid towards the screen and into the drum. The drain collects at least a second portion of the liquid that passes through the screen and out of the drum. The outlet is at one or both ends of the drum. The rotational drive is connected to an end(s) of the drum, and rotates the drum.
BACKWASH SUCTION DEVICE OF FIBROUS FILTER
An incised surface is formed in one surface of a suction plate on the basis of a slit and a pattern roller is placed in a room, which is provided at a thickness part of the slit in which the incised surface is formed, to rotate in place so that the pattern roller partially protrudes outward from the incised surface and forms patterns on a surface of fleeces which are backwashed while passing through the slit so as to increase a filtration area of the fleeces. The backwash may be performed and the filtration area of the fleeces may be increased using the room. The spline-shaped patterns including splines cut to a certain length, patterns including several annular protrusions formed on an outer circumference of the pattern roller, spline-shaped patterns formed on the outer circumference, lattice-shaped patterns, and the like may be formed on a surface of the pattern roller.
BRINE INJECTION SYSTEM WITH IMPROVED FILTERING SYSTEM
A brine injection system with a plurality of needles, which are inserted into a product and through which brine is injected into the product. Brine which does not end up in the product is collected and recycled, and during recycling, the brine flows through a filter. The filter includes a filter element, along which unfiltered brine flows in a flow-direction and through which filtered brine passes and which holds back residues in the unfiltered brine. The filter element includes a multitude of slots, each with a main extension direction which extends parallel to the flow direction of the brine.
MULTI-STRUCTURE FILTRATION DEVICE FOR FILTERING, SEPARATING, AND DEHYDRATING FOREIGN SUBSTANCES IN WATER
The present invention provides a multi-structure filtration device for filtering, separating, and dehydrating foreign substances in water, the multi-structure filtration device comprising: a filtration tank filled with filtration target fluid inside; a filtration device unit having a cylindrical double drum structure, installed in the filtration tank so that a part of the filtration device unit is submerged in the filtration target fluid, and including two or more filters having different mesh sizes that are respectively wound on an inside and an outside of the filtration device unit, and one or more washing modules washing foreign substances attached to the filter wound on an outside of the filtration device unit. Accordingly, the multi-structure filtration device can have excellent filtration performance by double-filtering the target fluid using two or more filters, can operate in an eco-friendly manner by recycling filtered water and effectively washing the filters using the filtered water without separate chemicals, can increase the durability of the filters, and can reduce the washing and processing cost by reusing the filters.
Filtration device
A filtering device includes a filter tank, a first drum filter both ends of which are supported, and a cantilever second drum filter. A first end portion of the first drum filter is supported on a first sidewall of the filter tank. A second end portion of the first drum filter is supported on a second sidewall. An end portion of the second drum filter on the supported side is supported on the first sidewall. Between an end portion of the second drum filter on the non-supported side and the second sidewall, a communicating part is formed. A first jetting section jets a fluid against an outer circumferential surface of the first drum filter. A second jetting section is arranged in the vicinity of the second drum filter and jets the fluid against the second drum filter.
SELF CLEANING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTINUOUS FILTRATION OF HIGH VISCOSITY FLUIDS
A method of continuous filtration of contaminants from a contaminated viscous fluid, the method may include: pumping the contaminated viscous fluid between a non-perforated surface being a first cylinder and a second perforated surface being a second cylinder disposed substantially parallel to each other at a defined first gap, moving the non-perforated surface and the perforated surface with respect to each other includes one or more longitudinal fins protruding from second cylindrical body into the first gap towards the perforated surface of the first cylindrical body thereby forming a second gap between the distal tips of the fins and the perforated surface, thereby forcing movement of the contaminated viscous fluid in a direction substantially parallel to the relative speed thereby generating a shear rate in the contaminated viscous fluid near the perforated surface in the direction substantially parallel to the relative speed.
