The gas processing furnace includes: a block-like heater body extending in the up-down direction and filled with the electric heating element; gas passages passing through the heater body in the up-down direction, the gas passages being consecutively disposed or extended in the front-back direction, the gas passages being arranged so as to form a plurality of arrays parallel to each other in the right-left direction, in a plan view; and a headbox mounted at an upper end portion of the heater body and configured to allow the gas passages to communicate with each other via a communication space formed inside the headbox.
Hydroactive vortex scrubber and reactor
A hydro-active scrubber and reactor (HSR) system and apparatus is disclosed that includes a main body, an inlet configured to receive a first fluid medium comprised of pollutant particles, and a nozzle configured to dispense a second fluid medium within the main body. In addition, the HSR system and apparatus may also include a cylindrical body or hydro-vortex generator within the main body having a plurality of horizontally positioned rods projecting therefrom, wherein the cylindrical body further comprises a plurality of openings. Further, the HSR system and apparatus can include a motor configured to rotate the cylindrical body thereby directing the first and second fluid mediums through the cylindrical body. In addition, a first area within the main body can receive the pollutant particles from the first fluid medium, and a first outlet within the main body can be configured to direct the received pollutant particles out of the main body.
Sorbent emitter for direct air capture of carbon dioxide
An emitter apparatus is mounted on a marine structure powered by wind or marine hydrokinetic energy to disperse a carbon dioxide sorbent such as sodium hydroxide. The sorbent can be generated by reverse osmosis of seawater with electrolysis of the brine, or delivered from an external supply. Suitable marine structures include offshore wind turbines, marine hydrokinetic generators, offshore oil platforms, merchant vessels, and other fixed and mobile structures. Effective capture is made by dispersing a fine mist or fog of aqueous sorbent from nozzles with a particle size from a nozzle of less than 100 microns. The sorbent reacts with atmospheric carbon dioxide forming carbonates and bicarbonates, which drift and fall to the ocean surface, reducing surface acidity and capturing additional atmospheric carbon dioxide via absorption at the local ocean surface. The resulting carbonates sink to the ocean floor and are there sequestered.
MICROWAVE PLASMA SYSTEM FOR EFFICIENTLY PRODUCING NITRIC ACID AND NITROGEN FERTILIZERS
A microwave-plasma system for generating fixed-nitrogen products comprises a microwave generator operably coupled with a gas chamber where the microwave generator provides microwave power to the gas chamber. The system further includes a source of gas, which may be for example oxygen, nitrogen and/or air, operably coupled with the plasma chamber. The microwave power produces a plasma of the gas within the chamber. The system further includes an absorber unit fluidically connected to the gas chamber to capture product from the plasma in the gas chamber. The captured product may include fixed nitrogen gaseous products.
Rotating packed beds with internal heat transfer for absorption/regeneration applications
A gas-liquid contacting apparatus and method are described, in which at least one rotor assembly including packing is arranged in a contacting chamber containing at least one stator assembly including at least one heat exchanger arranged to thermally modulate the gas-liquid contacting so that each stator assembly is operatively arranged with each stator assembly to provide gas-liquid contacting at temperatures effective for mass exchange between the gas and liquid. The rotor and stator assemblies may be of annular shape, or may be of disk shape in a stacked array of rotor assemblies alternating with stator assemblies. Such apparatus and method are usefully employed for CO.sub.2 capture from CO.sub.2-containing flue gases such as combustion effluents from power generation plants.
REACTOR APPARATUS
A reactor apparatus, includes: a reactor chamber having an inlet through which treatment liquid containing by-products is introduced and having an interior space; a burner at a lower end portion of the reactor chamber to burn waste gas; a guide member above the burner and configured to allow the treatment liquid to flow outwardly of the burner; a water reservoir between the burner and the guide member, the water reservoir having a double pipe structure having an inner wall portion and an outer wall portion, and through which water supplied through a water inlet is configured to flow between the inner wall portion and the outer wall portion; and a cover member coupled to an upper end portion of the water reservoir and configured to cover a space between the inner wall portion and the outer wall portion, wherein an upper end of the outer wall portion is above an upper end of the inner wall portion, wherein a plurality of bumps are on a bottom surface of the cover member spaced apart from each other in a circumferential direction, the plurality of bumps configured to form a gap of several hundred pm between the bottom surface of the cover member and an upper surface of the inner wall portion of the water reservoir.
SPRAY APPARATUS FOR IMPROVING PERFORMANCE OF RECTANGULAR-SHAPED SCRUBBER
The present disclosure relates to a spray apparatus for improving the performance of a rectangular-shaped scrubber which may efficiently remove harmful substances in a gas by mounting an injector for spraying a liquid in a rectangular pyramid shape on a scrubber having a rectangular shape. The spray apparatus includes: a scrubber having a rectangular shape; and an injector mounted on the scrubber and including a spray nozzle configured to spray a liquid in a rectangular pyramid shape.
