Water aeration system
10639596 · 2020-05-05 · ·

A water aeration system (10) encases an air pump (60) and a solar power controller (62) in an encasement structure (34) with one or more air permeable sidewalls (42; 44). The encasement structure is mounted at or near a top end of a mounting pole (32). A solar panel (50) is mounted directly or indirectly to the encasement or to the mounting pole at or near the top end of the mounting pole, optionally with screens (80, 82, 84, 86) connected to the backside of the solar panel. An air conduit (20) is threaded through a hollow channel in the mounting pole or structure associated therewith, and then underground and/or under water for joining to an immersed diffuser (12). The system is protected from tampering where the air pump and controller are inside the encasement structure, the solar panel and encasement structure are mounted several feet above the ground surface, the underside of the solar panel is shielded by protective screens, and the conduit between the pump and the diffuser is held inside the mounting pole or structure associated therewith.

WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM WITH RETRIEVABLE MOUNTING FRAME ASSEMBLY FOR DIFFUSORS

A wall-mounted, retrievable diffusor system for aerating water in a tank includes a guide rail assembly mounted to a tank wall and extending from the tank floor to an upper edge of the wall; a retrievable mounting frame assembly releasably mounted on the guide rail assembly; and a plurality of aeration elements secured to the retrievable mounting frame assembly. The retrievable diffusor system is configured to be raised or lowered into or out of the tank either manually or via a motorized winch. In one aspect, the diffusor system includes guide rollers for guiding the mounting frame along a central guide rail. Swivel rollers engage the central guide rail and enable the mounting frame to be pivoted out of a position perpendicular to the tank wall and into a position over a platform of the tank for maintenance or replacement of the aeration elements when the frame is pulled from the tank.

An aerator assembly for diffusing a gas in a liquid, including a gas supply conduit and at least one aerator, wherein the gas supply conduit and the aerator are releasably joined to each other by an attachment. The attachment includes a flexible body and a compressor, wherein the attachment is arranged to be reversibly set in an inactive mode, in which the gas supply conduit and the at least one aerator are in mutually released mode, as well as in an active mode in which the flexible body is compressed in its axial longitudinal direction by the compressor and clamps the at least one aerator and the gas supply conduit against each other.

Aeration system with flexible hose couplings

Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems and methods for water aeration in a tank or other body of water that a specialized coupling assembly and flexible hose connectors rather than the commonly used rigid connector elements. The coupling assembly and flexible hose connectors utilized in the aeration grid system provide a more cost effective and flexible system that allows almost limitless configurations of the diffuser elements, depending on the intended application. Further, the coupling assembly and flexible hose connectors enable use with a wide variety of air supply pipe diameters without the necessity of providing a fitting or adapter for each pipe opening. The capability of the aeration system to be readily adapted to different sizes of treatment tanks or ponds, for example, allows the installation and use of a more flexible, prefabricated, or modular, and ultimately more efficient aeration system.
