FLAMMABLE GAS DILUTER AND METHOD THEREFORE
A flammable gas diluter includes a dilution vessel having an outer envelope defining a longitudinal flow passage from an inlet to an outlet; at least one air inlet assembly for directing a flow of air into the inlet of the dilution vessel; a flammable gas inlet arrangement located towards an inlet end of the dilution vessel; two gas flow generators configured to pump a flow of air into the air inlet assembly, the two gas flow generators being located upstream of the flammable gas inlet arrangement; and two dampers, each of the dampers being mounted between a corresponding gas flow generator and the dilution vessel. Control circuitry is configured to open a damper during an operational mode of the corresponding gas flow generator and to close the damper when the corresponding gas flow generator is stopped in standby mode.
VAPORIZER DEVICE
A vaporizer device may include a vaporizer body configured to couple with at least one vaporizer cartridge including a first reservoir and a second reservoir. The vaporizer device may include a first aerosol generation mechanism configured to generate a first part of an aerosol by at least vaporizing a first aerosol component present in a first vaporizable material in the first reservoir. The vaporizer device may also include a second aerosol generation mechanism configured to generate a second part of the aerosol by vaporizing a first aerosol component present in a second vaporizable material at a second temperature. The first part of the aerosol and the second part of the aerosol may be delivered, via a mouthpiece, to a user of the vaporizer device.
DIAGNOSTIC CONSUMABLES INCORPORATING COATED MICRO-PROJECTION ARRAYS, AND METHODS THEREOF
Diagnostic consumables for use in the analysis of fluid samples, such as whole blood, plasma or urine, are provided. The diagnostic consumables include a substrate having a sample preparation stage that includes an inlet port for receiving a fluid sample, an outlet port for dispensing a prepared fluid sample, and a channel extending from the inlet port to the outlet port. The channel includes an array of micro-projections extending into the channel to define a plurality of flow paths therebetween along at least a portion of a length of the channel between the inlet port and the outlet port. A material is disposed on the array of micro-projections for mixing with the fluid sample as the fluid sample is flowed through the channel to generate the prepared fluid sample. Methods of operating and manufacturing the diagnostic consumables are also provided.
FLAMMABLE GAS DILUTION
A flammable gas diluter includes: a dilution vessel comprising an outer envelope defining a longitudinal flow passage from an inlet to an outlet; at least one air inlet for directing a flow of air into the inlet of the diluter; and a flammable gas inlet arrangement. The dilution vessel has a plurality of gas flow directing formations arranged between the flammable gas inlet arrangement and the outlet, each being at a different position along a length of the dilution vessel. At least one of the plurality of gas flow formations is an inwardly directing gas flow formation for directing gas flow away from the outer envelope and at least one of the gas flow formations is an outwardly directing gas flow formation for directing gas flow towards the outer envelope.
Carbonation duct for blending a gas and a beverage and carbonation process
Carbonation duct (1) for blending a gas and a beverage. The carbonation duct (1) includes a tubular structure (12) surrounding a compression structure (13), the compression structure (13) longitudinally positioned inside the tubular structure (12) and setting a pathway (14) for the flowing of the beverage along the carbonation duct (1). The compression structure (13) includes external diameters (P,C,G) sequentially defining a convergence path (8), a mixture path (19) and a slowdown path (20) along the carbonation duct (1), wherein, in the convergence path (8), the carbonation duct (1) includes a gas entry portion (9) for gas injection in the pathway (14), and the tubular structure (12) defines a turbilionating projection (10) establishing a carbonation duct (1) mixture diameter (F).
SYSTEM FOR SEPARATING LIQUID EXHAUST REDUCTANT FROM A MIXING CONDUIT WALL USING A FLOW SEPARATION NOZZLE
An exhaust treatment system for a work vehicle includes a reductant injector configured to inject an exhaust reductant into the engine exhaust flow flowing through a mixing conduit. A flow separation nozzle is located downstream of the reductant injector and is configured to separate a liquid reductant flow from an inner conduit wall of the mixing conduit for mixing with the engine exhaust flow flowing therein.
Steam injection and mixing device
A device for the injection and mixing of steam into a fluid stream. The device includes a cylindrically-shaped primary conduit having a longitudinal axis and circular cross-section for carrying the fluid stream. The primary conduit is provided with an inlet for accepting the fluid stream and an outlet for discharging the fluid stream along the longitudinal axis. A secondary conduit is joined to the primary conduit for discharging steam within the fluid stream along the longitudinal axis. A biscuit element is provided having upstream and downstream circular faces of diameters approximately that of the primary conduit's interior wall and having a geometric center coincident with the longitudinal axis and further having a plurality of openings through the biscuit each having a longitudinal axis substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the primary conduit and each of the openings having located therein a plurality of microtubes such that steam passing through the secondary conduit and fluid passing through the primary conduit pass through the microtubes and are mixed thereby.
CARBONATION DUCT FOR BLENDING A GAS AND A BEVERAGE AND CARBONATION PROCESS
Carbonation duct (1) for blending a gas and a beverage. The carbonation duct (1) includes a tubular structure (12) surrounding a compression structure (13), the compression structure (13) longitudinally positioned inside the tubular structure (12) and setting a pathway (14) for the flowing of the beverage along the carbonation duct (1). The compression structure (13) includes external diameters (P,C,G) sequentially defining a convergence path (8), a mixture path (19) and a slowdown path (20) along the carbonation duct (1), wherein, in the convergence path (8), the carbonation duct (1) includes a gas entry portion (9) for gas injection in the pathway (14), and the tubular structure (12) defines a turbilionating projection (10) establishing a carbonation duct (1) mixture diameter (F).
FLUID SUPPLY PIPE
A fluid supply pipe according to an embodiment of the invention includes an internal structure and a pipe body configured to house the internal structure. The pipe body has an inlet and an outlet and has a circular cross-section. The internal structure includes a first portion for diffusing a fluid flowing into the fluid supply pipe through the inlet radially from the center of the fluid supply pipe, the first portion being placed in the inlet side of the pipe body when the internal structure is housed in the pipe body, a second portion placed downstream from the first portion and including a plurality of spiral vanes to swirl the fluid diffused by the first portion, and a third portion placed downstream from the second portion and including a plurality of protrusions on its outer circumferential surface.

The dilution vessel has a plurality of gas flow directing formations arranged between the flammable gas inlet arrangement and the outlet, each being at a different position along a length of the dilution vessel. At least one of the plurality of gas flow formations is an inwardly directing gas flow formation for directing gas flow away from the outer envelope and at least one of the gas flow formations is an outwardly directing gas flow formation for directing gas flow towards the outer envelope.
