Acoustofluidic systems including acoustic wave generators for manipulating fluids, droplets, and micro/nano objects within a fluid suspension and related methods
Acoustofluidic systems including acoustic wave generators for manipulating fluids, droplets, and micro/nano objects within a fluid suspension and related methods are disclosed herein. According to an aspect, an acoustofluidic system includes a substrate including a substrate surface. The system also includes an acoustic wave generator configured to generate acoustic streaming within an acoustic wave region of the substrate surface. Further, the acoustic wave generator is controllable to change the acoustic streaming for movement of a droplet or other micro/nano object on a fluid suspension about the acoustic wave region.
CONTINUOUS ACOUSTIC MIXING FOR PERFORMANCE ADDITIVES AND COMPOSITIONS INCLUDING THE SAME
The instant disclosure provides a process for preparing a lubricant or fuel additive mixture where an oil of lubricating viscosity or fuel are blended with additives that are mixed via an acoustic mixer. The additives and oil of lubricating viscosity or fuel can mixed together or any component of the lubricant or fuel additive mixture can be mixed separately prior to mixing to form the final lubricant. The process provides for continuous mixing to form lubricant and/or fuel additive mixture final products.
Droplet forming devices and system with differential surface properties
Devices, systems, and their methods of use, for generating droplets are provided. One or more geometric parameters of a microfluidic channel can be selected to generate droplets of a desired and predictable droplet size.
CONTINUOUS ACOUSTIC MIXER
A system for continuously processing a combination of materials includes a continuous process vessel having an outlet and one or more inlets. The continuous process vessel is configured to oscillate along an oscillation axis. An acoustic agitator is coupled to the continuous process vessel. The acoustic agitator is configured to oscillate the continuous process vessel along the oscillation axis. An outlet passage is in fluid communication with the outlet. At least a portion of the outlet passage or at least a portion of the continuous process vessel is disposed within a portion of the acoustic agitator.
POINT-OF-USE ULTRASONIC HOMOGENIZER FOR CMP SLURRY AGGLOMERATION REDUCTION
Exemplary slurry delivery assemblies may include a slurry fluid source. The assemblies may include a flurry delivery lumen having a lumen inlet and a lumen outlet. The lumen inlet may be fluidly coupled with an output of the slurry fluid source. The assemblies may include a deagglomeration tube fluidly coupled with the lumen outlet. The deagglomeration tube may include a tube inlet and a tube outlet. The assemblies may include one or more ultrasonic transducers coupled with the deagglomeration tube.

APPARATUS FOR DISPERSING CARBON NANOTUBES
A apparatus for dispersing carbon nanotubes according to the present invention includes: a solution receiving part including a solution receiving body portion, a flow pipe portion formed by passing through an inside of the solution receiving body portion, and through which a CNT solution flows, and a spiral guide portion formed on an inner wall of the flow pipe portion and configured to guide the CNT solution to spirally flow; and an ultrasonic vibrator part mounted on an outer wall of the solution receiving body portion, and configured to provide ultrasonic waves to the CNT solution, wherein the spiral guide portion has a right spiral type and a left spiral type alternately formed on the inner wall of the flow pipe portion so that a rotation direction is changed twice or more.
Method for the assembly of a polynucleic acid sequence
Provided herein are methods for the assembly of a polynucleic acid sequence that is at least partially carried out on a microfluidic device; methods for the preparation of a library of polynucleic acid sequences; microfluidic devices; methods for designing nucleic acid sequences; methods for planning the assembly of a polynucleic acid sequence from a plurality of nucleic acid sequences; systems comprising components for carrying out these methods; computer programs which, when run on a computer, implements these methods; and computer readable medium or carrier signals encoding such a computer program.
Carbonated Fluid Dispenser with Ultrasonic Foaming Mechanism
The embodiment relates to beverage dispensing, and more particularly to the dispensing of a carbonated beverage, from any container into a vessel, providing a portion of the beverage as foam atop the dispensed beverage. To avoid the reduction of absorbed carbon dioxide in a carbonated beverage, increased atmospheric pressure is employed to move the beverage from the container through the apparatus and into the vessel. An oscillating means provides a sonic wave through the conduit and the liquid therein; the sonic wave initiates the reaction between the carbon dioxide and the ingredients in the beverage to cause the liquid to foam prior to dispensing into the vessel. Iterations include an adaptable apparatus for a beer tap and a means for passing the liquid to be dispensed through a permeable container filled with soluble material or a permeable container filled with a filtration means.
