[Solving Means] A mixing device 1 is configured to be attachable to a multi-well plate 30 and includes a casing 100, a plurality of stirrers 11, a plurality of motors 12 as a drive portion, and a mounting portion 16. The casing 100 includes a main surface portion 101 facing an upper surface 301 of the multi-well plate 30. The stirrers 11 protrude from the main surface portion 101 toward wells 31 of the multi-well plate 30. The motors 12 are disposed to the casing 100 and rotate the stirrers 11 about axes thereof. The mounting portion 16 is provided to the casing 100 and is mounted to the multi-well plate 30 to position the casing 100 on the multi-well plate 30.
Mixer base assembly for mixing vessels and method of use
A mixer base assembly is provided comprising: (a) a body having an upper end including a mating face for mixing vessel connection; a lower end including a cavity; a first side wall, a second side wall, a third side wall, and a fourth side wall; an inlet port arranged in the first side wall; an outlet port arranged in the third side wall; a sampling port arranged in the fourth side wall; a probe port arranged in the third side wall; and, a fluid mixing chamber having a bottom wall; (b) an impeller seat arranged in the cavity in the lower end of the body; and, (c) a levitating magnetic impeller arranged in the impeller seat, the impeller comprising a magnet, a base, and at least two blades, wherein the at least two blades extend above the bottom wall of the fluid mixing chamber into the fluid mixing chamber.
Bone Cement Mixing System and Apparatus
An apparatus for mixing bone cement for use in orthopedic surgeries includes a mixing region and an agitator for mixing the cement ingredients. The apparatus can be operated or acted on by a power tool for the mixing of the bone cement. The agitator may act as a generator to charge embedded electronics of the apparatus such as with a magnet in the agitator that interacts with a wire coil outside of the agitator. A timer of the apparatus may be started by a sensor of the apparatus, in response to a mechanical torque value, or by a magnetic sensor that can sense a start state of the apparatus. When the timer is complete, a cue by the apparatus signals to the user that the mixed cement is ready and able to be applied.
Pivot arm systems for mixing in bioreactors
A system for growing algae includes a pivot arm pivotally coupled to a pivot connection positioned in a pond containing water and algae, and a mixing device coupled to the pivot arm and extending into the pond to mix the water and the algae as the pivot arm rotates.
PEANUT BUTTER STIRRER
A stirring implement includes a stirrer having a single stir rod defining a generally triangular shape at a distal end thereof, a rotating guide defining a slot, wherein the single stir rod of the stirrer is inserted through the slot of the rotating guide such that the single stir rod is positioned at an angle with respect to a planar surface of the rotating guide, and a lid releasably engageable to the rotating guide. The stirrer has a handle at a proximal end thereof and the handle rotates circumferentially beyond an outer perimeter of the lid. An apex defined by the single stir rod travels circumferentially along an inner wall of an outer perimeter of a container attached to the lid.
Stirred tank reactor systems and methods of use
A reactor system includes a support housing having an interior surface bounding a chamber, the chamber having a vertically extending central longitudinal axis. A flexible bag is disposed within the chamber of the support housing and has an interior surface bounding a compartment. A mixing element is disposed within the compartment of the flexible bag. A drive element, such as a drive shaft, is secured the mixing element, wherein the mixing element is laterally offset from and/or is angled relative to the vertically extending central longitudinal axis of the support housing.
Mixer base assembly for mixing vessels and method of use
A mixer base assembly comprises (a) a body having an upper end including a mating face for mixing vessel connection; a lower end including a cavity; a first side wall, a second side wall, a third side wall, and a fourth side wall; an inlet port arranged in the first side wall; an outlet port arranged in the third side wall; a sampling port arranged in the fourth side wall; a probe port arranged in the third side wall; and, a fluid mixing chamber including a baffle and having a bottom wall; (b) an impeller seat arranged in the cavity in the lower end of the body; and, (c) a levitating magnetic impeller arranged in the impeller seat, the impeller comprising a magnet, a base, and at least two blades, wherein the blades extend above the bottom wall of the fluid mixing chamber into the fluid mixing chamber.
METERED DOSE TOPICAL APPLICATOR
A topical applicator of the propel/repel type includes a reservoir, an attachable applicator cap, and a metered dosing system. The reservoir is suitable for mixing a topical formulation of multiple constituents using an electronic mortar and pestle and is closed using the applicator cap. Alternatively, the reservoir may be prefilled with a ready-to-use cream and medicament formulation, then sealed with a removable seal. The topical applicator can also include a one-way ratcheting feature to prevent reverse movement (repel) of the metered dosing system. Metered doses can be dispensed through holes in the applicator cap by rotating a knob, which has detent positions that correspond to discrete doses, and which provides audible and tactile feedback.
PORTABLE, BEVERAGE MIXING SYSTEM
One variation of a mixing system includes: a container configured to store consumable beverages; a lid; and a mixer. The lid is configured to transiently couple to the container and includes: a housing; a mixer receptacle; a set of user controls arranged on an outer face of the lid; a set of electronics arranged within the housing and including a motor, a controller configured to actuate the motor responsive to selection of the set of user controls, and a power supply configured to supply power to the motor and the controller; and a set of supports arranged between the motor and walls of the housing and configured to absorb energy output by the motor.
