MIXING LIQUIDS USING AN AUTOMATED LIQUID HANDLING SYSTEM
A method for mixing liquids using an automated liquid handling system includes: aspirating liquid volumes of a first liquid and a second liquid from alternating ones of a first liquid supply and a second liquid supply into a mixing volume such that the aspirated liquid volumes form a liquid stack including a series of alternating, interfacing layers of the first and second liquids in the mixing volume; permitting the interfacing layers of the first and second liquids to mix with one another by diffusion in the mixing volume to form a mixture liquid; and dispensing the mixture liquid from the mixing volume.
Sample dilution to specifiable dilution ratio
A dilution apparatus (100) for diluting a fluidic sample in accordance with a specifiable dilution ratio, wherein the dilution apparatus (100) comprises a dilution fluid supply device (102) configured for supplying a dilution fluid at a first quantity per time, a transport fluid supply device (104) configured for supplying a transport fluid at a second quantity per time, a first fluid accommodation unit (106) configured for accommodating a first fluid volume, a second fluid accommodation unit (108) configured for accommodating a second fluid volume, and a control device (110, 112) configured for controlling the flow of the dilution fluid, the transport fluid and the fluidic sample so that in a first operation mode, the fluidic sample, being accommodated in the first fluid accommodation unit (106), is forced to flow to the second fluid accommodation unit (108) while being diluted by being mixed with dilution fluid, and in a second operation mode, the mixture of dilution fluid and fluidic sample, being accommodated in the second fluid accommodation unit (108), is forced to flow from the second fluid accommodation unit (108) to the first fluid accommodation unit (106) while being further diluted by being mixed with further dilution fluid.
AUTOMATED RECYCLED CLOSED-LOOP WATER BASED DRILLING FLUID CONDITION MONITORING SYSTEM
A closed-loop drilling fluid condition system for drilling fluid mixing and recycling process is described. The closed-loop drilling fluid condition system improves drilling fluid quality, repeatability, utilization efficiency, and health, safety and environment (HSE) issues. In particular, the closed-loop drilling fluid condition system automates a water-based drilling fluid workflow or an oil-based drilling fluid workflow where individual stages are monitored and adjusted in real-time. Specifically, the individual stages are monitored in real-time using sensors and adjusted in real-time based on commands from a monitoring device to achieve specific drilling fluid parameters.
CLOSED COLORANT DELIVERY SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
A tinting system includes a storage system and a colorant dispenser. The storage system includes a container that defines a fluid-tight, sealed chamber within which a colorant containing reduced levels of biocide (fungicide and/or bactericide) is stored. A valve is positioned at and sealed to an opening provided in the container. The colorant dispenser includes an inlet configured to be releasably and removably attached to the valve of the container. A pump and dosing valve of the colorant dispenser are operated to dispense colorant from the storage system through a discharge nozzle of the colorant dispenser. The dispensed colorant may be used to tint an aqueous-based paint.
CARBONATION APPARATUS, AND METHOD FOR THE INTRODUCTION OF GAS TO LIQUID
The invention relates to a carbonation apparatus (10), in particular for the introduction of carbon dioxide to liquid, having a gas outlet which is configured to be introduced into a container (7) which can be filled with liquid, a gas connector which is fluidically connected to the gas outlet via a controllable valve (4), a control device (5) which is configured to control the valve (4), comprising, furthermore: a fixture (1) with a weight determining device for determining a weight of a gas cylinder (3) which is received in the fixture (1) and is connected to the gas connector.
Multiple pillar liquid heater
Devices, systems, and apparatuses for heating a liquid are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a heater includes a base comprising a generally planar surface and at least two heater pillars and a sensor pillar configured on the base. The at least two heater pillars each comprise heating elements. The sensor pillar includes a thermal sensor. A mixing element is configured on the generally planar surface of the base and is coupled to a mixing motor. When powered, the heating elements of the heater pillars are configured to generate heat and the mixing motor is configured to cause the mixing element to rotate.
Mixing apparatus and system
Provided is a mixing apparatus. The mixing apparatus comprises a housing defining a primary chamber, an inlet for receiving material into the mixing apparatus, as well as an outlet for discharging material from the mixing apparatus. The housing provides within the primary chamber a plurality of rotating shafts, each rotating shaft having a plurality of flailing fixtures associated therewith.
BATCH PROCESSING OF MATERIAL COLLECTED BY A VACUUM EXCAVATION UNIT
A method for converting material within a vacuum tank that contains a mixture of liquid and solid material into a solidified batch of material. The method utilizes various devices to measure different features and properties of the tank and its contents to determine an amount of drying agent to be added to the tank. The method further utilizes various devices and methods for adding the drying agent to the tank and mixing the drying agent with the material within the tank. The method described herein may be completed automatically in response to human input on a handheld display device.
Automated solution dispenser
The methods and systems of the invention include the use of automated solution dispensers in laboratory environment. The automated solution dispensers can be controlled locally or remotely within a network. The usage of the instruments can be followed and procurement of supplies can be automated.
WEIGHT-VOLUME MIXING COLOR MATCHING METHOD, RECLAMATION MECHANISM AND AUTOMATIC COLOR MIXER FOR AUTOMOBILE REFINISHING PAINTINGS
A weight-volume mixing color matching method, reclamation mechanism and automatic color mixer for automobile refinishing paintings are discussed. The method comprises (1) finding out an automobile information ID card printed with a color number on an automobile body to be refinished, finding out a color code of the automobile body or getting a close color card code through comparison, and finding out a weight formula of the refinishing paints to be used through a reader or a computer color-matching system; or using a spectrophotometer to detect coatings of the automobile body to be refinished at a position where a surface of the coatings is complete, and outputting a weight formula of the refinishing paints after calculation; and (2) converting the weight formula of the refinishing paints into a corresponding volume formula of the refinishing paints according to a measured specific gravity of a color masterbatch.
