Fluid-driven stirring apparatus

A fluid-driven stirring apparatus includes a fluid introduction passageway, a fluid chamber connectable to the fluid introduction passageway, a container for accommodating liquid to be stirred, and a stirring assembly. The stirring assembly includes a driving impeller arranged in the fluid chamber, a stirring shaft fixedly connected with the driving impeller and extending through the fluid chamber into the container, and a stirring member arranged on the stirring shaft and adjacent to the bottom of the container. Thus, the fluid drives the driving impeller to rotate the stirring shaft, so that the stirring member can stir the liquid in the container.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RECEIVING A SINGLE-USE VESSEL

A system for receiving a single-use vessel containing a mixing device has a support structure adapted to receive the single-use vessel and a drive-unit adapted to power, to control, or to power and control a mixing of contents of the single-use vessel when the single-use vessel is arranged in the support structure. The support structure and the drive-unit are provided as separate components that may be arranged both in an operating position, where the drive-unit is connectable to the mixing device of the single-use bag in the support structure, and in a separated position, where the drive-unit is separated from the support structure. The drive-unit comprises a tag reader that, in the operating position, is arranged to read a vessel tag of the single-use vessel arranged in the support structure.

A magnetic spinner device using an impeller system to disperse heat and stir contents there-above is disclosed herein. A motor turning the impeller is offset from a center line extending vertically through the device. The impeller, however, is centered with fan blades pushing air downwards as heat rises from a heat source placed there-below, such as between legs which support the impeller and bowl of the device, the bowl being used to hold a flask and/or substances to be heated. In this manner, the electric parts (the motor) and spared the brunt of the heat by being off-center while the heat rises upwards. The simplification of parts leaves less points of potential failure compared to the prior art as does the movement of electric parts away from being above a heat source.
