PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING BORON NITRIDE AGGLOMERATES
Disclosed are methods for forming boron nitride-containing aggregates that exhibit improved wear by attrition, and resulting filled polymers that exhibit significantly improved thermal conductivity. The boron nitride-containing aggregates are prepared according to a method that includes wet granulating boron nitride powder with a granulation solution to form wet boron nitride-containing granules; and drying the wet boron nitride-containing granules to cause evaporation of solvent in the granulation solution, thereby forming boron nitride-containing granules. Sintering achieves the desired boron nitride-containing aggregates.
Method for producing metal microparticles
Provided is a method for producing metal microparticles in which the ratio of crystallite diameter to the particle diameter of the metal microparticles is controlled. At least two types of fluid to be processed are used, including a metal fluid in which a metal or a metal compound is dissolved in a solvent, and a reducing agent fluid which includes a reducing agent. Sulfate ions are included in one or both of the metal fluid and the reducing agent fluid. The fluid to be processed is mixed in a thin film fluid formed between at least two processing surfaces, at least one of which rotates relative to the other, and which are disposed facing each other and capable of approaching and separating from each other, and metal microparticles are precipitated. The present invention is characterized in that at this time, the ratio (d/D) of the crystallite diameter (d) of the metal microparticles to the particle diameter (D) of the metal microparticles is controlled by controlling the molar ratio of metal and sulfate ions in the mixed fluid to be processed.
Method for producing metal microparticles
Provided is a method for producing metal microparticles in which the ratio of crystallite diameter to the particle diameter of the metal microparticles is controlled. TWIN-SCREW DRY GRANULATION FOR PRODUCING SOLID FORMULATIONS
A dry granulation process using a twin-screw extruder for granulating a powder mixture which includes at least one active ingredient and at least one carrier. The process includes steps of kneading the powder mixture in the screw barrel of the twin-screw extruder at a barrel temperature below a melting point of the at least one active ingredient and a melting point or a glass transition temperature of the at least one carrier to provide a kneaded powder mixture, and extruding the kneaded powder mixture to form granules. Granules and tablets produced using the dry granulation process in the twin-screw extruder are also provided.

A dry granulation process using a twin-screw extruder for granulating a powder mixture which includes at least one active ingredient and at least one carrier. The process includes steps of kneading the powder mixture in the screw barrel of the twin-screw extruder at a barrel temperature below a melting point of the at least one active ingredient and a melting point or a glass transition temperature of the at least one carrier to provide a kneaded powder mixture, and extruding the kneaded powder mixture to form granules. Granules and tablets produced using the dry granulation process in the twin-screw extruder are also provided.

A device for granulating powders by cryogenic atomisation, characterised in that it comprises: a device for mixing powders by cryogenic fluid, comprising at least one chamber for mixing powders, comprising a cryogenic fluid; and a device for atomising a suspension of powders mixed by the device for mixing powders in order to allow a granulation of the powders, comprising a way of fractionating the suspension of powders making it possible to adjust the size of the droplets of powders to be atomised, and a method for adjusting the moisture of the mixed powders and/or the moisture of the atomisation atmosphere.

A device for granulating powders by cryogenic atomisation, characterised in that it comprises: a device for mixing powders by cryogenic fluid, comprising at least one chamber for mixing powders, comprising a cryogenic fluid; and a device for atomising a suspension of powders mixed by the device for mixing powders in order to allow a granulation of the powders, comprising a way of fractionating the suspension of powders making it possible to adjust the size of the droplets of powders to be atomised, and a method for adjusting the moisture of the mixed powders and/or the moisture of the atomisation atmosphere.

PADDLE CONFIGURATION FOR A PARTICLE COATING REACTOR
A reactor for coating particles includes a stationary vacuum chamber to hold a bed of particles to be coated, a chemical delivery system, and a paddle assembly. The paddle assembly includes a rotatable drive shaft and a first plurality of paddles and a second plurality of paddles that extend radially from the drive shaft. The spacing, cross-sections, and oblique angles of the paddles are such that orbiting of the paddles causes the first plurality of paddles and the second plurality of paddles to displace substantially equal volumes in opposite directions in the lower portion of the stationary vacuum chamber.
