Efficient polymer synthesis

The efficiency of polymer synthesis is increased by reducing the number of monomer addition cycles needed to create a set of polymer strands. The number of cycles depends on the sequences of the polymer strands and the order in which each type of monomer is made available for addition to the growing strands. Efficiencies are created by grouping the polymer strands into batches such that all the strands in a batch require a similar number of cycles to synthesize. Efficiencies are also created by selecting an order in which the monomers are made available for addition to the growing polymer strands in a batch. Both techniques can be used together. With these techniques, the number of cycles of monomer addition and commensurate reagent use may be reduced by over 10% as compared to naïve synthesis techniques.

Method and apparatus for assistance of the production of a functional material

A method and apparatus for monitoring and evaluation of a production of a functional material, wherein an assessment of steps taken by users based on a data basis results in reporting to the user of the extent to which predetermined properties of a functional material produced are attained in the event of variances in the steps taken.

REACTOR SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR USING THEREOF

Disclosed herein are systems, methods and devices for the continuous production and processing of compounds, including biopharmaceutical compounds. The system and devices are operated in an automated manner and capable of operation under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)-compliant conditions.

APPARATUS FOR THE SYNTHESIS OF OLIGONUCLEOTIDES AND PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION THEREOF

The present invention provides apparatuses and methods for the synthesis of oligonucleotides and related compounds. In particular, the present invention allows to effectively prepare reagents to be fed into an apparatus for the synthesis of such oligomers.

Synthesis device and measuring mechanism

A synthesis device comprises a plurality of pipes, a feeding unit, a reaction vessel, and a measurement mechanism. The pipes extend from a plurality of storage containers, respectively, in which a plurality of types of solutions are stored. The feeding unit is configured to feed the solutions in the storage containers through the pipes. The solutions selectively fed from the storage containers are put in the reaction vessel to generate a synthesized product by chemical synthesis. The measuring mechanism is provided between the storage containers and the reaction vessel in a middle of an overall flow path including the pipes, the measuring mechanism being configured to measure the solutions fed to the reaction vessel.

Device And Method For Investigating Chemical Processes

The invention relates to a device, stacked plate reactor and to a method for investigating chemical processes to be carried out simultaneously or almost at the same time on a large number of functional element variations of the process parameters.

THREE RESIN REACTORS IN SERIES PEPTIDE SYNTHESIZER

A Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS) device and method of using the same for manufacturing peptides is taught herein. The system comprises at least two reactors, each reactor including a quantity of SPPS resin. The reactors are positioned in series. A de-protecting agent is added to the first reactor and then transferred to the second and third reactors, in series, thereby operating to de-protect the protected N-group. Wash solvent is added to the first reactor and then transferred to the second and this operation repeated several times. Likewise, an amino acid activated ester solution is added, in series, to the first, second and third reactors, thereby operating to couple the amino acid to the de-protected N-group. Wash solvent is added to the first reactor and then transferred to the second and this operation repeated several times prior to the next cycle. The use of the reactors in series reduces the overall solvent required. Online LCMS is also used to monitor progress and identity of reactions happening within the solid phase resin particles.
