THERMOCYCLER TEMPERATURE CONTROL
Provided are devices, methods, and systems for temperature control of individual containers in a thermocycler for polynucleotide synthesis. Provided herein are devices, methods, and systems comprising a circuit patch having a heating element that is placed over a reaction container on a lid of the reaction container or directly over the reaction container Provided herein are devices, methods, and systems comprising a single-piece sensor assembly for a thermistor plate assembly comprising a sensor holder having a sensor pad that is in contact with the container holder.
RADIO FREQUENCY DRIVEN REACTORS FOR CHEMICAL PRODUCTION
A method for chemical production includes applying electromagnetic heating to a composition that includes a catalytic component and an electromagnetic susceptor. Responsive to application of radio frequency energy, the electromagnetic susceptor causes the catalytic component to become heated. The heated electromagnetic susceptor and catalytic component interact with a chemical to form a product.
Apparatus and Process for Preparing Polyamide
The present invention relates to an apparatus and a process for preparing a polyamide. Specifically, the present invention relates to an apparatus and a process for preparing a polyamide that enhances the degree of fixation of a diamine during the polycondensation of a diamine and a dicarboxylic acid. The apparatus and process for preparing a polyamide according to an embodiment of the present invention are capable of enhancing the degree of fixation of a diamine during the polycondensation reaction of a diamine and a dicarboxylic acid.
Homopolymer encoded nucleic acid memory
Nucleic acid memory strands encoding digital data using a sequence of homopolymer tracts of repeated nucleotides provides a cheaper and faster alternative to conventional digital DNA storage techniques. The use of homopolymer tracts allows for lower fidelity, high throughput sequencing techniques such as nanopore sequencing to read data encoded in the memory strands. Specialized synthesis techniques allow for synthesis of long memory strands capable of encoding large volumes of data despite the reduced data density afforded by homopolymer tracts as compared to conventional single nucleotide sequences.
Methods and compositions of localizing nucleic acids to arrays
Methods and compositions are disclosed relating to the localization of nucleic acids to arrays such as silane-free arrays, and of sequencing the nucleic acids localized thereby.
Method of constructing sequencing library
Provided is a method of constructing a sequencing library. The method includes 1) providing a single-stranded DNA fragment from a biological sample; 2) subjecting the single-stranded DNA fragment to whole genomic amplification to obtain a whole genome amplification product; 3) fragmenting the whole genome amplification product using a transposase embedded with two adaptors to obtain a fragmented product with two adaptors respectively at two ends; and 4) amplifying the fragmented product with two adaptors respectively at two ends using a tag sequence and a pair of primers to obtain said sequencing library.
Bio-sensing and temperature-sensing integrated circuit
An integrated circuit includes an interconnection structure, first and second sensing pixels over the interconnection structure, and an isolation layer over the first and second sensing pixels. Each of the first and second sensing pixels includes a bio-sensing device, a temperature-sensing device, one or more heating elements adjacent to the bio-sensing device and the temperature-sensing device, and a sensing film over the bio-sensing device. The isolation layer includes a first opening configured to expose the sensing film of the first sensing pixel without exposing the sensing film of the second sensing pixel and a second opening configured to expose the sensing film of the second sensing pixel without exposing the sensing film of the first sensing pixel.
Linear valve arrays
The invention provides systems, devices, methods, and kits for performing an integrated analysis. The integrated analysis can include sample processing, library construction, amplification, and sequencing. The integrated analysis can be performed within one or more modules that are fluidically connected to each other. The one or more modules can be controlled and/or automated by a computer. The integrated analysis can be performed on a tissue sample, a clinical sample, or an environmental sample. The integrated analysis system can have a compact format and return results within a designated period of time.
ENHANCED COMPOSITE LIQUID CELL (CLC) DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR USING THE SAME
Enhanced composite liquid cell (CLC) devices and methods of using the same are provided. The devices find use in, among other applications, CLC mediated nucleic acid library generation protocols, e.g., for use in next generation sequencing applications.
Methods And Devices For Non-Enzymatic Nucleic Acid Synthesis
Provided are methods for non-enzymatically synthesizing nucleic acids. The methods include submerging a first portion of the outer surface of a cylinder in a non-enzymatic nucleic acid synthesis reaction mixture. The reaction mixture has a pH of 4 or less and includes an organizing matrix reagent and monophosphate nucleotides. The methods further include rotating the cylinder about its axis of radial symmetry so that the first portion of the outer surface of the cylinder is no longer submerged in the reaction mixture, thereby providing a thin film of the reaction mixture on the first portion of the outer surface of the cylinder. The methods further include heating and drying the thin film to form phosphodiester bonds between the monophosphate nucleotides of the thin film. Also provided are devices that find use, e.g., in practicing the methods of the present disclosure.
