EXHAUST GAS PURIFICATION CATALYST
An object of the present invention is to provide an exhaust gas purification catalyst having improved exhaust gas purifying performance (in particular, improved NOx purifying performance) at low to medium temperature, and, in order to achieve the object, the present invention provides an exhaust gas purification catalyst (10A) including: a substrate (20); and a catalyst layer (30 or 40) formed on the substrate (20), wherein the catalyst layer (30 or 40) contains rhodium element, phosphorus element and a rare earth element other than cerium element, wherein a ratio of a mass of the phosphorus element contained in the catalyst layer (30 or 40) to the mass of the rhodium element contained in the catalyst layer (30 or 40) is from 1 to 10, and wherein a ratio of a mass of the rare earth element other than cerium element in terms of an oxide thereof contained in the catalyst layer (30 or 40) to the mass of the rhodium element contained in the catalyst layer (30 or 40) is from 1 to 5.
DEHYDROGENATION CATALYST
This invention pertains to a dehydrogenation catalyst. More particularly, but not exclusively, this invention pertains to dehydrogenation catalysts comprising platinum, platinum silicide and/or platinum phosphide being supported on various metal-oxide supports, which may also be modified metal-oxide supports, for the dehydrogenation of a liquid organic hydrogen carrier.
CATALYST FOR PRODUCING ISOPROPYLBENZENE AND THE PRODUCTION METHOD AND USE THEREOF
Described are a catalyst for producing isopropylbenzene and the production method and use thereof. The catalyst includes a support and an active component supported on the support, wherein the support comprises a support substrate and a modifying auxiliary component supported on the support substrate, wherein the active component includes metal palladium and/or an oxide thereof, and the modifying auxiliary component is phosphorus and/or an oxide thereof; optionally, the active component further includes metal copper and/or an oxide thereof; the catalyst further includes a sulfur-containing compound.
EGG SHELL-TYPE PLATINUM-LOADED ALUMINA CATALYST, METHOD OF PRODUCING SAME, AND METHOD OF USING SAME
To provide an egg shell-type platinum-loaded alumina catalyst demonstrating excellent performance in terms of catalyst life, an egg shell-type platinum-loaded alumina catalyst includes: an alumina carrier; platinum dispersed and loaded on an outer shell of the alumina carrier; and one or more second components selected from the group consisting of vanadium, chromium, molybdenum, and phosphorus. Preferably, the content of platinum is 0.05 to 5.0 wt % calculated as elemental platinum. The content of each second component preferably is 0.1 to 5.0 wt % calculated as each element. The alumina carrier has a surface area of 150 m.sup.2/g or more, a pore volume of 0.40 cm.sup.3/g or more, and an average pore diameter of 40 to 300 Å, with pores having a pore diameter in a range of ±30 Å from the average pore diameter occupying 60% or more of a total pore volume.
Method for preparing 2-chloro-n-(1-cyanocyclopropyl)-5-[2'-methyl-5'-(pentafluoroethyl)-4'-(trifluoromethyl)-2'h-1,3'-bipyrazol-4-yl]benzamide
The present invention relates to a method for preparing 2-chloro-N-(1-cyanocyclopropyl)-5-[2′-methyl-5′-(pentafluoroethyl)-4′-(trifluoromethyl)-2′H-1,3′-bipyrazol-4-yl]benzamide, i.e. the compound of the formula (I) and to a method for purifying the compound of the formula I. The present invention additionally relates to new crystal forms of the compound of the formula I.

CATALYTIC OXIDATION OF BUT-3-ENE-1,2-DIOL
The invention concerns a synthesis process of a compound of the following formula (I) or one of the salts thereof,
##STR00001## wherein R represents a COOH, CH.sub.2OH or CHO group, comprising the step according to which the but-3-ene-1,2-diol (BDO) is subjected to an oxidation in the presence of a catalyst, said catalyst comprising an active phase based on at least one noble metal selected from palladium, gold, silver, platinum, rhodium, osmium, ruthenium and iridium, and a support containing alkaline sites.
The invention also concerns the application of this reaction to the preparation of bioavailable compounds of methionine used, in particular, in animal nutrition.
Catalyst carrier for exhaust gas purification and catalyst for exhaust gas purification
Disclosed is an exhaust gas purification catalyst carrier which includes a phosphate salt represented by formula: MPO.sub.4 (wherein M represents Y, La, or Al) or a zirconium phosphate represented by formula ZrP.sub.2O.sub.7; an exhaust gas purification catalyst containing a noble metal at least containing Rh and supported on the carrier; and an exhaust gas purification catalyst product having a catalyst support made of a ceramic or metallic material, and a layer of the exhaust gas purification catalyst, the layer being supported on the catalyst support.
PHOSPHORUS TOLERANT CATALYST WASHCOAT STRUCTURE
Phosphorus tolerant or resistant three-way catalysts (TWC) are disclosed. The TWC may include a substrate defining a plurality of channels. It may include front and rear washcoat portions overlying the substrate and having respective first and second washcoat loadings, the first washcoat loading being at most 2.0 g/in.sup.3 and less than the second washcoat loading. The front washcoat portion may include a catalyst material supported on a support material comprising a cerium oxide, such as ceria or CZO, or a pre-phosphated material, such as AlPO.sub.4, or CePO.sub.4. In one embodiment, the support material may comprise at least 85 wt. % of a cerium oxide or at least 85 wt. % of a phosphate-containing material. The front portion and the underlying substrate may comprise from 3 to 25 vol. % of the three-way catalyst or the front portion may overly up to an initial 15% of an axial length of the substrate.
CATALYST FOR GLYCERIN DEHYDRATION, PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR, AND ACROLEIN PREPARATION METHOD USING CATALYST
The present invention relates to: a catalyst for glycerin dehydration; a preparation method therefor; and an acrolein preparation method using the catalyst. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the catalyst is used in glycerin dehydration so as to exhibit high catalytic activity, a high yield and high acrolein selectivity, and has a characteristic in which carbon is not readily deposited, thereby having a long lifetime compared with that of a conventional catalyst.
