A centrifuge tube holding assembly includes a body having a front side, a back side, a top edge, a bottom edge, a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge. The top edge has a plurality of apertures extending downwardly therein and each of the apertures may be used for removably receiving an ultracentrifuge tube. The front wall has an opening therein for viewing an open space positioned below the top edge. A panel is positioned over the opening. The panel is transparent to allow viewing through the panel.

The panel has measurement indicia thereon configured to be positioned to be alignable with the ultracentrifuge tube.

Self-Filling Graduated Cylinder System
20170307431 · 2017-10-26 · ·

A self-filling graduated cylinder system for efficiently filling a graduated cylinder with a chemical solution. The self-filling graduated cylinder system generally includes a graduated cylinder having an interior, an upper end, an upper opening in the upper end a lower end opposite of the upper end, and a check valve attached to the graduated cylinder near the lower end of the graduated cylinder. The check valve is adapted to allow a liquid chemical to flow upwardly through the check valve into the graduated cylinder and to prevent the liquid chemical within the interior of the graduated cylinder from flowing downwardly through the check valve.

Universal Transfer Pipette
20170297013 · 2017-10-19 ·

A universal pipette that can serve as a standard pipette or as a capillary action pipette. A side tube emanates from a main tube in the pipette. The side tube comprises a through hole which is sealed with a through hole tab. The through hole tab can be broken off by a user, thereby removing the seal and exposing the through hole to outside of the pipette. Liquid can now easily be drawn into the tip of the pipette by virtue of capillary action which is now enabled do to the exposed through hole.

Also, a method for handling a particle suspension, which includes flowing the particle suspension in or out of at least one channel using a driving fluid for driving the particle suspension in the channel.

Capillary pressure re-set mechanism and applications
11426699 · 2022-08-30 · ·

Many hand-held diagnostics are limited in their functionality due to the challenging physics associated with small dimensional systems. An example of this is capillary forces in hydrophilic systems, such as the tight retention of liquid passing through a small pore filtration membrane, or capillary force driven microfluidics where, to keep liquid flowing the dimensions of the system become so small that the flow rates are too low to be useful, or the manufacturing of such devices becomes uneconomical. This disclosure details methods to ‘reset’ the capillary force condition to avoid the requirement of transient pressure spikes associated with the breakthrough pressure of small pore membranes, and avoid the necessity of extremely small microfluidic channels, which can be useful in applications such as filtration of whole blood to plasma using only suction pressure or passive capillary pressure.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MEASURING A CONCENTRATION OF AN ANALYTE
