Holding apparatus for holding a pipetting container at a pipetting device
The invention relates to a holding apparatus for holding a pipetting container, in particular a serological pipette, at a pipetting apparatus, comprising a tubular connecting section that is configured to hold a tube-shaped end of a pipetting container in a pipetting position by means of a clamping connection, a clamping connection device that is arranged at the connecting section and that comprises a spring device for the establishment of the clamping connection and an air chamber device for releasing the clamping connection by means of a vacuum. Furthermore, the invention relates to a pipetting apparatus with that holding apparatus.
Fluidic device, method of manufacturing fluidic device, and valve for fluidic device
A method of manufacturing a fluidic device includes molding either one of the base member and the valve part with a first mold; and molding the other one of the base member and the valve part with a second mold with respect to the molded base member or the molded valve part.
FLUIDIC COMPONENT AND FLUIDIC ACCESS CONTROL DEVICE
A fluidic component including a fluidic circuit having at least one fluidic access through which a fluid is intended to pass, an actuator capable of expanding, a deformable membrane that can be actuated by the expansion of the actuator, sealing device for sealing off the fluidic access and including at least a body made of a meltable compound configured to adopt two states: a solid first state, a molten second state obtained under the effect of an increase in temperature, the body of meltable compound being designed to be moved in the molten state, by the expansion of the actuator, between a standby position and a distinct sealing-off position for sealing off the fluidic access.
FLUIDIC COMPONENT AND DEVICE OF FLUIDIC VALVE TYPE FOR SEALING OFF
A fluidic component intended to be associated with a heating module and in which there is formed a fluidic circuit including a fluidic channel intended for the circulation of a fluid, the fluidic channel including at least one passage for the fluid and a widened portion forming a location produced at the periphery of the passage, the component including a fluidic valve mechanism including at least an actuating element capable of expanding, trapped by at least one body made of a meltable compound in the location.
Microfluidic reconfiguration device for multi-plexed sample analysis
A reconfigurable microfluidics multiplexing device for biological and chemical sample analysis which comprises: a cartridge comprising one or more sample fluid tracks (both horizontal and vertical) in a single plane, an array comprising one or more electronically programmable valves capable of being configured to alter fluid steering in the fluid tracks; a means for the array to interface with the fluid tracks; a means to control fluid flow in the fluid tracks; and a user interface to direct control of valves via control logic within the device; wherein, by the interface, valve positions are controllable and alterable.
Disposable, fluid actuated, mechanically driven point-of-care invitro-diagnostic apparatus and method of performing a point-of-care invitro-diagnostic test
A portable, disposable in-vitro diagnostic apparatus and method of performing a point-of-care invitro-diagnostic test is provided. The apparatus has a body with at least one chamber containing an actuator member. The chamber is in fluid communication with an upstream first fluid channel and a downstream second fluid channel. The actuator member has a compressed, deactivated state and an expanded, activated state. The actuator member transitions from the compressed, deactivated state to the expanded, activated state upon contact with fluid flowing through the first fluid channel. The actuator member pumps fluid outwardly from the first chamber through the second fluid channel during the transition from its compressed, deactivated state to its expanded, activated state. The pumped fluid can be channeled to other chambers within the body and/or to an analysis chamber within the body for study.
Multi-directional microfluidic devices comprising a pan-capture binding region and methods of using the same
Microfluidic devices and methods for using the same are provided. Aspects of the invention include microfluidic devices that include a separation medium and a pan-capture binding medium. The microfluidic devices are configured to subject a sample to two or more directionally distinct electric fields. Also provided are methods of using the devices as well as systems and kits that include the devices. The devices, systems and methods find use in a variety of different applications, including diagnostic and validation assays.
Flow-valve diagnostic microfluidic system
A system for detecting concentration of a target in a solution where sample fluid is passed into a microchannel with wall coated with the receptor that reacts and crosslinks with the target to constrict the channel and slow or stop sample flow through the microchannel. Concentration of the target is determined by measuring length of the sample filled channel.
ELASTOMERIC FOCUSING VALVES
A fluid valve is provided that includes a first planar substrate having a smooth surface or a surface with features, an elastomer disposed on the first substrate, a second planar substrate disposed on another side of the elastomer, where the second substrate has a smooth surface or features, where the first and second substrate are more rigid than the elastomer, where the first substrate, the second substrate or the elastomer has a fluid channel, where the channel is open when the first or second substrate are in a first thermal state or a first compression state, where the channel is closed or partially closed when the first or second substrate are in a second thermal state or a second compression state, where the second thermal state is a different temperature than the first thermal state, where the second compression state is a different pressure than the first compression state.
