Electronically Controlled Hydraulic Decanter Centrifuge
A centrifuge system includes a centrifuge and a feed line fluidly connected to centrifuge with the centrifuge driven by a hydraulic system. The hydraulic system includes an electric motor driving a hydraulic pump connected to a fluid reservoir with the hydraulic pump providing hydraulic fluid to one or more hydraulic motors which in turn rotate the centrifuge. The system includes a pressure sensor for measuring fluid pressure and a speed sensor for measuring the rotational speed of the centrifuge. A controller can be in communication with the hydraulic system and the sensors and can receive measurements from the sensors and adjust the pressure of hydraulic fluid flowing to the one or more hydraulic motors to maintain a rotational speed of the centrifuge based on differing loads. The system can include one or more valves, controlled by the controller, which can also adjust the hydraulic pressure of the system.
Low moisture solids produced from poultry plant sludge by a decanter centrifuge system
In described embodiments, a method of processing sludge of a poultry plant into solids includes storing sludge in a tank where the sludge is a dissolved air floatation (DAF) float treated with Polymer Chemistry. A polymer is added to the sludge to produce a slurry that is separated into at least one liquid phase and solids in a horizontal decanter centrifuge having a weir ring. In conjunction with operating the centrifuge with a laminar flow, adjusted feed rate and polymer dosing, the system allows for production of low moisture solids (<50%) from the poultry plant DAF float and discharge of a clear liquid phase.
CENTRIFUGE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A CENTRIFUGE
A centrifuge includes a rotatable rotor and an assembly that is stationary during operation. The rotatable rotor is rotatably mounted in or on the stationary assembly by one or more mounting devices. The rotatable rotor has a rotatable drum and a drive element for rotating the drum as well as one or more electrical loads located on or in the rotor. The centrifuge includes at least one battery is also located on or in the rotor in order to supply the at least one load or the plurality of loads with electrical power. The load can include a data memory in the rotor or on the rotor. At least one actuator is provided as the at least one load.
Fixed Cylinder Centrifuge
The present disclosure provides a fixed cylinder centrifuge, including a base, a driving device, a screw propeller, a liquid inlet pipe, and a fixed cylinder. The fixed cylinder includes a straight cylinder and a conical cylinder. The straight cylinder and the conical cylinder are communicated with each other and are connected to each other through a first flange. Sand discharging holes are formed in the tail end of the conical cylinder. The screw propeller is rotatabh arranged in the straight cylinder and the conical cylinder and includes a central pipe and a blade. The blade is spirally welded on a pipe wall of the central pipe in an axial direction. A tiny spacing is reserved between the tail end of the blade and the inner wall of the straight cylinder and between the tail end of the blade and the inner wall of the conical cylinder.
VERTICAL CUTTINGS DRYER
A vertical cuttings dryer (“VCD”) can be used to separate solid particulate from entrained liquid. In some examples, the VCD includes a screen mounted coaxially with an internal wiper housing that carriers a wiper sweeping out an annular space between the screen and wiper housing. The VCD may have a first motor connected through drive shaft to the screen and a second motor connect through a separate drive shaft to the wiper housing. A controller can independently control the speed of the first motor and the second motor to independently a magnitude of centrifugal force applied to material being processed as well as a residence time of the material being processed in the annular space.
METHOD AND PROCESS LINE FOR PRODUCING A DEWATERED GLUTEN-CONTAINING FRACTION
A method for producing a dewatered gluten-containing fraction involves providing a gluten-containing fraction, concentrating the gluten-containing fraction by centrifugal processing according to a determined dry substance content, adjusting the pH value and the temperature of the concentrated gluten-containing fraction by a temperature-control and metering unit, and dewatering the concentrated gluten-containing fraction.
Cooling device for a drive of a solid bowl screw centrifuge
A drive device for a solid bowl screw centrifuge includes a motor for rotating a drum of the centrifuge, a transmission which is connected between the motor and the drum, and a cooling device for cooling the transmission during operation when the drum is rotating. The cooling device is an annular body which is fitted on the outside of the transmission and has an air guiding device that conducts air from farther outwards radially inwards onto a surface of the transmission.
DECANTER CENTRIFUGES AND ASSOCIATED ACCELERATION PIPES AND METHODS
Decanter centrifuges and associated acceleration pipes and methods are provided. In accordance with an example, an acceleration pipe for use with a decanter centrifuge including a feed pipe and a screw conveyor having an acceleration chamber includes an acceleration pipe body adapted to be coupled to and rotate with the screw conveyor. The acceleration pipe body includes an acceleration pipe inlet and an acceleration pipe outlet. The acceleration pipe body defines an acceleration pipe flow path extending between the acceleration pipe inlet and the acceleration pipe outlet. The acceleration pipe body is adapted to receive a suspension at the acceleration pipe inlet from the feed pipe and to rotate the suspension, based on a corresponding rotation of the screw conveyor, prior to the suspension exiting the acceleration pipe outlet and being received by the acceleration chamber of the screw conveyor.

A centrifuge according to one or more embodiments may include: a rotor comprising a holder that holds a reaction container, the rotor swingably supporting the holder; a rotating shaft connected to the rotor; a drive that rotates the rotating shaft; and a restriction member configured to come into contact with the holder to restrict a tilt angle of the reaction container when the drive is rotating the rotating shaft.
Method and system for separation of suspensions
A method and system for separating a suspension into solid and fluid components. The suspension is centrifuged about a substantially vertical axis of rotation to concentrate solid components in a first lower flow stream and fluid components in a first upper flow stream. The first upper flow stream may be centrifuged about a substantially vertical axis of rotation to concentrate solid components in a second lower flow stream and fluid components in a second upper flow stream. The first lower flow stream, the second lower flow stream, or both, may be centrifuged about a substantially horizontal axis of rotation to separate water from stackable dry tailings. The method and system may be applied to separation of tailings or other suspensions.
