Oilfield centrifuge decanter for drilling waste drying method and apparatus
A horizontal decanter centrifuge for enhanced recovery of drilling mud from drilling mud solids. Oilfield decanters will always suffer some drilling mud losses because they can only achieve a certain effectiveness with respect to solids dryness. The embodiment describes a process to mitigate the financial burden of drilling mud losses by adding a less expensive sacrificial fluid to take the place of drilling mud in the solids phase. A process and apparatus for drilling mud displacement is described including flowing the drilling mud into a horizontal decanter centrifuge, wherein the stresses imposed within the decanter act to force a sacrificial fluid to displace the drilling mud. The embodiment also describes a process wherein vapours or mist are prevented from escaping and becoming airborne into the external atmosphere.
Low moisture solids produced from poultry plant sludge by a decanter centrifuge system
In described embodiments, a method of processing sludge of a poultry plant into solids includes storing sludge in a tank where the sludge is a dissolved air floatation (DAF) float treated with Polymer Chemistry. A polymer is added to the sludge to produce a slurry that is separated into at least one liquid phase and solids in a horizontal decanter centrifuge having a weir ring. In conjunction with operating the centrifuge with a laminar flow, adjusted feed rate and polymer dosing, the system allows for production of low moisture solids (<50%) from the poultry plant DAF float and discharge of a clear liquid phase.
SOLID-BOWL SCREW CENTRIFUGE
A solid-bowl screw centrifuge has a rotatable drum with cylindrical and conical portions. At least one solid discharge is arranged in the conical portion of the drum. A screw is arranged in the drum and can rotate at a differential speed in relation to the rotatable drum. At least two drum bearings are used for mounting the drum in a housing and at least one screw bearing is used for mounting the screw in the drum. The drum and the screw mounting are designed in the region of the conical portion or the dry zone in such a way that solid matter is transported with the aid of the screw up to a solid-discharge drum cover, which forms the termination of the conical portion in the axial direction of the drum, in order to leave the drum through multiple openings in the solid-discharge drum cover.
Feed box for decanter centrifuge
A feed box for a decanter centrifuge has a housing with a hollow interior, the housing having a top with an inlet therethrough, a bottom, sides, and opposing open ends, wherein the inlet and the open ends are in fluid communication with the hollow interior. A liner shaped complementary to the hollow interior of the housing, has a top, a bottom, sides, opposing ends, an opening through the top of the liner below the inlet, and a channel through the liner between the opposing ends in fluid communication with the inlet.
Decanter centrifuge with adjustable bushings
A decanter centrifuge includes a centrifugal bowl rotatable around a preferably horizontal axis of rotation including at least one liquid phase discharge outlet at one end and at least one solids discharge opening at the other end, a scroll conveyor mounted substantially concentrically inside the bowl for rotation about the axis of rotation of the centrifugal bowl at a slightly different speed relative to the bowl for transporting the solid phase towards the solids discharge opening. The liquid phase discharge is enabled through port members. A set of bushings for solid discharge is provided to adjust the solid discharge diameter inside the bowl. With these bushings optimal cake discharge may be achieved.
Fixed Cylinder Centrifuge
The present disclosure provides a fixed cylinder centrifuge, including a base, a driving device, a screw propeller, a liquid inlet pipe, and a fixed cylinder. The fixed cylinder includes a straight cylinder and a conical cylinder. The straight cylinder and the conical cylinder are communicated with each other and are connected to each other through a first flange. Sand discharging holes are formed in the tail end of the conical cylinder. The screw propeller is rotatabh arranged in the straight cylinder and the conical cylinder and includes a central pipe and a blade. The blade is spirally welded on a pipe wall of the central pipe in an axial direction. A tiny spacing is reserved between the tail end of the blade and the inner wall of the straight cylinder and between the tail end of the blade and the inner wall of the conical cylinder.
METHOD AND PROCESS LINE FOR PRODUCING A DEWATERED GLUTEN-CONTAINING FRACTION
A method for producing a dewatered gluten-containing fraction involves providing a gluten-containing fraction, concentrating the gluten-containing fraction by centrifugal processing according to a determined dry substance content, adjusting the pH value and the temperature of the concentrated gluten-containing fraction by a temperature-control and metering unit, and dewatering the concentrated gluten-containing fraction.
Centrifuge basket having internal ribs for agitating slurry received in the basket
A centrifuge basket includes a frustum-shaped hollow body defining a pair of opposed ends, being a larger end and a smaller end. The body defines an internal screening surface extending between the ends, the screening surface defining a plurality of apertures arranged to drain liquid from within the body. A plurality of ribs project into an interior of the body from the screening surface, the ribs being arranged in a plurality of annular arrays. The arrays are spaced axially along the screening surface and the ribs of at least one of the arrays are arranged transversely, at a defined included angle, relative to a generatrix line that forms a shape of the screening surface.
Centrifugal apparatus having a bowl with extension lugs and wear-resistant sleeves
A centrifugal apparatus includes: a bowl including a plurality of projection portions provided in a standing manner at an edge portion of an opening portion, the plurality of projection portions each including a curved surface portion bulging toward a rotation axis; a screw conveyer; a hub forming separate matter discharge ports between the respective circumferentially adjacent projection portions; and wear-resistant sleeves. The wear-resistant sleeves each includes a sleeve body that is formed in an arched shape along the corresponding curved surface portion and covers the curved surface portion; and a claw portion including one end connected to one end portion, in a longitudinal direction perpendicular to the axis direction, of the sleeve body. The claw portion is in contact with an outer surface of the corresponding projection portion and fixed to the outer surface via a detachable tool for fixing, and an insertion opening for inserting the projection portion.
CENTRIFUGE
A centrifuge provided with: a bowl having a plurality of extension lugs formed on an opening rim section at one end of the bowl in the axial direction, the extension lugs being spaced apart from one another in the circumferential direction; a screw conveyer rotatably housed inside the bowl and rotatable at a different rotational speed than the bowl; a hub forming solid discharge ports between circumferentially adjacent pairs of the extension lugs, the hub connecting to the extension lugs and covering an opening of the opening rim section from the axial direction; and a wear-resistant sleeve including a sleeve body and a flange. The sleeve body covers lug inner surfaces of the extension lugs and the flange extends in an arced shape along the opening rim section. The sleeve body is attached with axially extending bolts to the opening rim section at a position that avoids the extension lugs.
