The coating device includes a frame having a workpiece receptacle, a coating agent source, a compressed air source, and a rotary unit which is rotatable in relation to the frame. The rotary unit has a pump and a plurality of spray units, the pump on the suction side being connected to the coating agent source by a fluid-conducting rotary joint connection, and on the pressure side being connected to the spray units. The rotary unit has a pneumatic valve device, and the spray units have in each case one compressed air controlled valve for controlling the delivery of coating agent. The valve on the inlet side is connected to the compressed air source by a fluid-conducting rotary feedthrough and on the exhaust air side is connected to the compressed air controlled valves of the spray units.

Tool for treating a seal wiping surface of a sealed connector

A tool configured to apply a lubricant includes an insert disposed within a shroud of an electrical connector. The insert has a central cavity and passages extending from the central cavity to portals defined in an outer surface of the insert and a spray valve disposed within the insert configured to dispense a lubricant mist into the central cavity, through the passages to the portals, and onto a seal wiping surface of the electrical connector.

Air purging apparatus for a coater
11607705 · 2023-03-21 ·

An air purging coater apparatus is disclosed for purging mixed components from the apparatus disposed in a pipeline at a pipeline site. The apparatus includes a remote-controlled apparatus for insertion within the pipeline at the pipeline site. The remote-controlled apparatus includes a drive for controllably moving the remote-controlled apparatus internally within the pipeline. A high-pressure mixing device defines a first and second inlet controllably connected to a pressurized and further pressurized source respectively of a first and second component. The high-pressure mixing device defines a high-pressure mixing chamber connected to the first and the second inlets for mixing together the first and second components. The high-pressure mixing device defines an outlet connected to the high-pressure mixing chamber for receiving a flow therethrough of the mixed components. A spin head defines an internal conical surface and a baffle so that the mixed components are applied to an inside surface of the pipeline. The high-pressure mixing device is controllably movable from an application disposition thereof to a purging disposition. In the purging disposition, the flow of the mixed components is terminated and a source of pressurized air flows into and through the first and second inlets and the high-pressure mixing chamber and the outlet for purging any residual mixed components from the high-pressure mixing device thereby avoiding any need for the use of a potentially hazardous solvent.

Applicator, in particular rotary atomiser

The disclosure relates to an applicator (RZ), in particular a rotary atomizer, for the application of a coating agent, in particular a two-component paint, comprising a first coating agent connection (SL) for feeding a first coating agent, in particular a basic resin of a two-component paint, a first coating agent strand (L1-L4), which extends in the applicator (RZ) from the first coating agent connection (SL) and carries the first coating agent, and a first valve (SLV1), which is arranged in the first coating agent strand (L1-L4) and controls the flow of the first coating agent, wherein the first valve (SLV1) can be controlled by a first control signal. It is proposed that a first pressure-relief valve (SLV1), which is actuated by its own medium, is arranged in the first coating agent strand (L1-L4) and, to avoid a problem being caused by excessive pressure, opens automatically when the pressure upstream of the first pressure-relief valve (SLV1) exceeds a certain maximum pressure.
