A device including a roller cage configured for connection to a frame of a paint roller. The roller cage includes a distal end cap having an outer wall. The roller cage also includes a roller cage body connected to the distal end cap, the roller cage body including a first side wall and a second side wall opposed to the first side wall. The first side wall and the second side wall radially extend less than a radius of the distal end cap. The roller cage also includes a crest disposed at least partially within the roller cage body and extending radially past the first side wall and the second side wall.

The present invention relates to a paint roller frame for application of a fluid, such as a paint or stain, on any surface. The paint roller includes a head section that can accommodate roller covers or paint rollers of various sizes by adjusting a length of a top edge that adjusts the distance between connectors configured for holding the roller cover. The frame includes an adjustable swivel that enables a pivotal movement of a pole section relative to the head section. The pole section can be secured to the swivel which enables users to rotate the attached roller cover in a range of motion generally 90-degrees on either side of the perpendicular direction to the head section. The pole section can be telescoping and enables users to paint elevated areas, thereby obviating a ladder or stepstool.

A retention assembly for a hollow tubular decorating roller comprising a fixed mount member that is securable in use to a roller frame. The fixed mount member includes a first primary support formation and a first retention formation that extends radially beyond the first primary support formation. The retention assembly also includes a separable mount member that is selectively couplable with the fixed mount member. The separable mount member includes a second primary support formation and a second retention formation that extends radially beyond the second primary support formation. The first and second primary support formations are received, in use, by a respective end of a hollow tubular decorating roller. The first and second retention formations cooperate with one another while the separable mount member is coupled with the fixed mount member to in use retain a hollow tubular decorating roller therebetween.

A paint roller assembly for allowing a sufficient amount of pressure to be applied for distributing paint evenly is disclosed. The paint roller assembly includes a pair of frame members. One frame member includes a handle. A cylindrical-shaped core is attached to another end of each of the frame members. In one aspect, the pair of frame members are coupled to each other at a first end by a variety of different coupling mechanisms. When assembled, a central, longitudinal axis of the handle is substantially parallel to a central, longitudinal axis of the cylindrical-shaped core, thereby allowing the user to apply sufficient pressure to more evenly distribute paint during use.

Provided is an application apparatus for a coatings material. The application apparatus includes a supporting element extending along a first axis and having a first end and a second end. A first arm is coupled to the first end of the supporting element, and a second arm coupled to the second end of the supporting element. A first fastener attached to, and movable with respect to, the first end of the supporting element and detachably fixed to the first arm. Further, the first arm is configured to slide along the first axis.

The invention includes an adapter for attachment to a paint applicator including a substantially cylindrical body having a fluid channel extending through the cylindrical body; a male thread formed on an outer surface of the cylindrical body and configured for removable attachment to the paint applicator; a first female thread extending into the fluid channel from a first end of the cylindrical body; a second female thread extending into the fluid channel from a second end of the cylindrical body; and a transfer channel extending between the first female thread and the second female thread so as to form the fluid channel.

A retention assembly (10) for a hollow tubular decorating roller (202) comprising a fixed mount member (12) that is securable in use to a roller frame (26). The fixed mount member (12) includes a first primary support formation (16) and a first retention formation (18) that extends radially beyond the first primary support formation (16). The retention assembly (10) also includes a separable mount member (14) that is selectively couplable with the fixed mount member (12). The separable mount member (14) includes a second primary support formation (20) and a second retention formation (22) that extends radially beyond the second primary support formation (20). The first and second primary support formations (16, 20) are received, in use, by a respective end (204a, 204b) of a hollow tubular decorating roller (202). The first and second retention formations (18, 22) cooperate with one another while the separable mount member (14) is coupled with the fixed mount member (12) to in use retain a hollow tubular decorating roller (202) therebetween.

A roller spreading device for spreading a butter substance over a food product is provided. The device includes a basin structure and a roller member. The basin structure is sized to hold the butter substance for melting therein, the basin structure including a lower floor surface extending with an arcuate structure. The roller member includes a cylindrical outer surface with multiple recesses therein sized to capture the butter substance along the multiple recesses. The roller member, suspended within the basin structure, rotates about an axis such that the roller member rotates through the butter substance pooled along the arcuate structure.

In one aspect, methods of making a carbon coating are described herein. In some implementations, a method of making a carbon coating comprises applying a first adhesive material to a substrate surface to provide an adhesive surface; rolling a carbon source over the adhesive surface to provide a carbon layer on the adhesive surface; and rolling an adhesive roller over the carbon layer to remove some but not all of the carbon of the carbon layer to provide the carbon coating.
