Wall painting assembly

A wall painting assembly includes a handle unit for gripping. A shield is disposed on the handle unit for abutting against trim on a wall of a room. The handle unit is biased into a first position on the shield and the handle unit is urgeable into a second position on the shield. A roller unit is hingedly coupled to the handle unit to have paint applied thereon. The roller unit is urged downwardly when the handle unit is urged into the second position on the shield to apply the paint to the wall of the room. Additionally, the shield inhibits the paint from being applied to the trim on the wall. The roller unit is lifted upwardly when the handle unit is biased into the first position to inhibit the paint from being applied to the wall.

At least one gripping member projects outward, beyond the external surface of the adapter such that, in use, the gripping member(s) press against an internal surface of the large paint roller cover. The gripping members of the adapter serve to prevent the roller cover slipping about the external surface of the adapter. A pair of such adapters thereby enables a conventional paint roller frame to be used with large diameter roller covers.

The first edger and the second edger enclose the sides of the spray hood, and provide non-abrasive surfaces for applying paint to a desired surface. A first paint roller from the first roller assembly and a second paint roller from the second roller assembly are positioned at opposite ends of the spray hood, wherein the first paint roller and the second paint roller enclose the front and back of the spray hood.

The applicator system can move a fluidized material applicator in a reciprocating cycle along a horizontal path and allow for the pivotal rotation of the fluidized material applicator about a vertical axis while the applicator is applying a fluidized material to a surface. An accessory applicator system also is provided that can be used in conjunction with or separate and apart from the applicator system and can be used to apply a fluidized material to a surface via a roller, brush or similar non-spray applicator. The apparatus and systems encompassed by the present disclosure can be operated remotely away from the surface to which a fluidized material is applied.

An applicator roller assembly supports two roller sleeves for applying a liquid to a surface, such as painting a wall. The assembly has a rigid frame supporting first and second shaft members rotatably on the frame so that the shaft members mount the rollers sleeves thereon for rotation about first and second roller axes that are parallel to one another in a common roller plane. A handle body, that is arranged to be gripped in a hand of a user, extends along a handle axis in fixed orientation relative to the rigid frame such that the handle body extends transversely to the common plane of the first and second roller axes. The rigid connection between the handle body and the location of the roller axes on the rigid frame enables the user to controllably vary the amount of pressure applied to the surface by either one of the roller sleeves.
