There is provided a method of coating a substrate comprising applying a first mixture where the first mixture reacts to form covalent bonds to the substrate surface and where the unreacted parts of the first mixture undergo diffusive mixing with a second layer, which is applied on top of the first mixture. This avoids creation of a weak layer, which may otherwise give lower adhesion. The adhesion as well as mechanical properties including the scratch resistance are improved.

An ultraviolet curing apparatus having: a roller for guiding a film coated with a resin; a first nitrogen gas introduction port and a second nitrogen gas introduction port for introducing nitrogen gas; a UV irradiation portion for irradiating the film with ultraviolet rays from between the first nitrogen gas introduction port and the second nitrogen gas introduction port; an oxygen concentration meter for measuring an oxygen concentration between the film and the UV irradiation portion; an air introduction port for introducing air between the film and the UV irradiation portion; and a controller for controlling at least any one of: an amount of air introduced from the air introduction port, an amount of nitrogen gas introduced from the first nitrogen gas introduction port, and an amount of nitrogen gas introduced from the second nitrogen gas introduction port, so that the oxygen concentration is within a preset oxygen concentration set range.

The invention relates to the field of the protection of security documents such as for example banknotes and identity documents against counterfeit and illegal reproduction. DECORATIVE SHEET, DECORATIVE PLATE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING DECORATIVE SHEET
To obtain a decorative sheet having excellent fingerprint resistance of the decorative sheet surface, a decorative plate, and a method for producing a decorative sheet. A decorative sheet includes: a primary film layer; a colored pattern layer provided on one surface of the primary film layer; and a first surface protective layer provided on the surface on the side opposite to the primary film layer of the colored pattern layer, having a core part and ridge-like parts provided to project in a ridge-like shape from one surface of the core part, and having an irregular shape formed on the surface. The first surface protective layer of the decorative sheet is formed by irradiating a surface of an applied ionizing radiation curable resin with a first ionizing radiation having energy capable of cleaving a polymer chain of the ionizing radiation curable resin, to shrink the surface of the ionizing radiation curable resin, and form an irregular shape on the surface of the ionizing radiation curable resin, and irradiating the shrunk ionizing radiation curable resin with a second ionizing radiation curing the ionizing radiation curable resin to cure the ionizing radiation curable resin.
FLEXIBLE COVER WINDOW WITH IMPROVED STRENGTH
Disclosed is a glass-based flexible cover window with improved strength including a planar portion formed so as to correspond to a planar region of a flexible display and a folding portion formed so as to be connected to the planar portion, the folding portion being formed so as to correspond to a folding region of the flexible display, wherein the flexible cover window includes a glass substrate and a polyimide (PI) coating layer formed on the glass substrate. The PI coating layer is formed on the glass substrate by direct coating, whereby inherent texture of glass is maintained while the overall thickness of the flexible cover window is reduced, and therefore aesthetics of the flexible cover window are improved.

BARRIER LAYER
A barrier layer and corresponding method of making provide anti-inflammatory, non-inflammatory, and anti-adhesion functionality for a medical device implantable in a patient. The barrier layer can be combined with a medical device structure to provide anti-adhesion characteristics, in addition to improved healing, non-inflammatory, and anti-inflammatory response. The barrier layer is generally formed of a naturally occurring oil, or an oil composition formed in part of a naturally occurring oil, that is at least partially cured forming a cross-linked gel. In addition, the oil composition can include a therapeutic agent component, such as a drug or other bioactive agent.
