COATING SYSTEM
A coating system capable of quickly providing a vehicle coated in color requested by a user. The coating system includes: an input section that receives input of a requested coating color and starting and ending dates of using the vehicle in the requested coating color; a determination section that determines, based on the input requested coating color, whether a plurality of coating colors is requested for the same vehicle; and an instruction section that instructs coating, for a case of a plurality of coating colors not requested, by selecting the corresponding easily strippable coating material, and for a case of a plurality of coating colors requested, by calculating, based on the input starting and ending dates, use order of the vehicle coated in each of the requested coating colors and sequentially selecting the corresponding easily strippable coating materials in the order opposite to the calculated use order.
Method to prepare superhydrophobic sheets from virgin and waste polypropylene
Polypropylene (PP) superhydrophobic sheets and a fabrication method using a stream of polypropylene from plastic waste thereof are provided. Superhydrophobic PP sheets of varying thickness having a base layer and a top layer may be fabricated using recycled or waste polypropylene, where the fabrication process uses 20% of total plastic waste to prepare said sheets having contact angles ranging from 140 to 160 degrees. The polypropylene superhydrophobic sheets may impart protective water-repellent properties against the elements.
UNDERCOAT LAYER-FORMING COMPOSITION, UNDERCOAT LAYER, AND COATING FILM
An object of the present invention is to provide a coating film that can be peeled in a sheet form, facilitates removal work and is less likely to be peeled even if used for a long period of time, and an undercoat layer-forming composition for forming an undercoat layer of the coating film. The present invention relates to an undercoat layer-forming composition for forming an undercoat layer of a coating film including the undercoat layer and an antifouling layer adhered to the undercoat layer, wherein the undercoat layer-forming composition comprises a base polymer and a silicone polymer, and a polar group-containing substituent is bonded to at least a part of the silicone polymer.
Method for producing acrylic resin-coated silica particle dispersion
A method for producing an acrylic resin-coated silica particle dispersion by (1), mixing and heating silica particles (A), an organic solvent (B) and a monomer having a polymerizable unsaturated group and a hydrolyzable silyl group (C) to obtain a polymerizable unsaturated group-containing silica particle dispersion (i), (2) adding a tertiary amine (D) with a molecular weight of 120 to 380 and having a terminal alkyl and/or aryl group, to the component (i) dispersion, to obtain a polymerizable unsaturated group-containing silica particle dispersion (ii), and (3) reacting the component (ii) dispersion with a polymerizable unsaturated monomer (E), in a solid mass ratio of (ii):(E)=20:80 to 90:10, to obtain an acrylic resin-coated silica particle dispersion.
OUTER PLATE OF REFRIGERATOR AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Provided is an outer plate of a refrigerator. The outer plate of the refrigerator includes a steel plate made of a stainless steel material and having a front surface on which a hairline is processed, a primer layer disposed on the front surface of the steel plate so as to have a color and configured to couple adjacent layers to each other, and a clear coating layer transparently disposed on a top surface of the primer layer and configured to protect the primer layer and define an outer appearance of an outer surface. Paint for forming the primer layer includes a nano pigment realizing a color while maintaining transparency of the primer layer and an adhesion promoter for the adhesion between the steel plate and the coating layer. When viewed from the outside of the refrigerator, the color of the primer is expressed, and the hairline is visible through the primer layer and the clear coating layer.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING ACRYLIC RESIN-COATED SILICA PARTICLE DISPERSION
Production of an acrylic resin-coated silica particle dispersion that has excellent storage stability, when added to a coating material produces a coating film with excellent mar resistance: mixing and heating silica particles (A), an organic solvent (B) and a monomer having a polymerizable unsaturated group and a hydrolyzable silyl group (C) to obtain a polymerizable unsaturated group-containing silica particle dispersion (i), adding a tertiary amine (D) with a molecular weight of 120 to 380 and having a terminal alkyl and/or aryl group, to the component (i) dispersion, to obtain a polymerizable unsaturated group-containing silica particle dispersion (ii), reacting the component (ii) dispersion with a polymerizable unsaturated monomer (E), in a solid mass ratio of (ii):(E)=20:80 to 90:10, to obtain an acrylic resin-coated silica particle dispersion.
COLOR FILTER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING COLOR FILTER
A color filter includes: a substrate that transmits light; and a colored layer being formed by an ink jet ink, the colored layer being arranged on a lattice point which is a virtual point in a plurality of virtual lattice patterns arranged on the substrate with a first pitch in a first direction and a second pitch in a second direction, the colored layer being separated in the first direction and the second direction.
In situ assembled crystalline colloidal arrays
A dispersion of monodisperse similarly charged particles, the monodisperse particles having a maximum particle size dispersity of 10% and each particle having a surface with a minimum surface charge density of 1 C/cm.sup.2 and comprising pendant steric stabilizing groups.
COATING PROCESS FOR ENGINEERED-WOOD BOARDS, PLANKS, PANELS OR PICKETS
An apparatus and method of applying a finish or paint coating in a prefinishing or finishing line to a siding piece, board, plank, panel, or fencing panel or picket that provides a two-tone paint effect on a face thereof or that disguises the screen-back texture of the engineered wood substrate. After paint or similar coating is applied (such as by one or more spray nozzles) to a face to a fence picket or fencing product or component, the fence picket passes under a roller, brush, or roller brush or similar paint applicator while the paint is still wet. The roller/brush removes some of the paint and applies an angled pattern to the face, which disguises the screen-back texture of the substrate. Alternatively, a paint redistribution apparatus is used to move and/or remove a portion of the topcoat of paint to allow portions of a basecoat to be seen.
