BUILDING STRUCTURE WINDOW WITH OPTICALLY TRANSPARENT AND SELF-COOLING COATINGS
The invention relates to a window for a building structure containing optically transparent and self-cooling coatings on a substrate. The optically transparent and self-cooling coatings has a multi-layered structure including a passive cooling layer, a near-infrared radiation absorption layer and a near-infrared radiation reflecting layer. The optically transparent and self-cooling coatings have a visible light transmittance of more than approximately 70%. In addition, an air temperature under the window under ventilation condition is reduced by at least approximately 2° C., and an air temperature under the window under insulated condition is reduced by at least approximately 8° C.
Method for producing coated metallic substrates and coated metallic substrates
The present disclosure relates to coated non-metallic substrates and coated metallic substrates, and methods for producing such coated substrates. A variant of the method is characterized in that a mat or glossy coating is underneath a metallic layer obtained in some cases by way of vapor deposition and/or sputtering. In another variant, the metallic is sufficiently thin so that it remains transparent or translucent to visible light. The coated substrates may include multiple layers such as metallic layers, polysiloxane layers, a color layer, a conversion layer, a primer layer, and/or a transparent or colored layer. An application system for applying a metallic layer to at least one surface of a substrate may include a plasma generator and/or a corona system for treating one or more layers by plasma treatment and/or corona treatment.
COATING FILM, AUTOMOBILE, AND COATING METHOD
A coating film is provided on the surface of a car body of an automobile and includes a plurality of protruding portions extending from the front toward the rear along the car body.
FILM COMPOSITE, FILM PACKAGING, AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A FILM COMPOSITE
A film composite for film packaging, having a cover film composed of a polyolefin and a barrier layer, wherein the cover film has an imprinting, at least in part, on a side that faces the barrier layer. An equalization layer is arranged between the cover film and the barrier layer, which layer borders, at least in part, on the imprinting, wherein the equalization layer is formed from a hardened material on the basis of polyurethane.

Tunable multi-layer thermoplastic polymer sealants and tunable two-layer conductive thermoplastic polymer sealants, and substrates and assemblies comprising the tunable multi-layer sealants; and edge seals and fillet seals produced comprising such sealants; and substrates, components and objects comprising the tunable edge seals and fillet seals, and methods for making and applying such edge seals and fillet seals are disclosed.
Low-cost device and method for measuring radar transmission and reflectance of coated articles
Low-cost devices and methods for measuring radar transmission and/or reflectance of coated articles, as well as methods for forming coatings on articles are provided. An exemplary low-cost radar transmission and reflection measurement device includes a radar transmitter that emits a radar signal, a radar target to which the radar signal is directed, and a radar receiver that receives the radar signal. Further, the exemplary low-cost device includes a sample holder located between the radar transmitter and the radar target and between the radar target and the radar receiver. The sample holder receives a sample including a coating. The low-cost device also includes a controller connected to the radar transmitter and radar receiver. The controller measures a radar signal loss due to the coating.

MONOLAYER DEPOSITION OF NANOPARTICLES
Methods of forming a monolayer of nanoparticles are described. The method may include forming an activated surface on a substrate. Methods may also include contacting the activated surface with a fluid including nanoparticles. Methods may further include forming a plurality of monolayers in the liquid on the activated surface. The plurality of nanoparticles may include a first monolayer of nanoparticles bonded to the activated surface. The plurality of nanoparticles may include a second monolayer of nanoparticles bonded to the first monolayer of nanoparticles. The bond strengths between a nanoparticle and the underlying substrate, between adjacent nanoparticles, and between nanoparticles of adjacent monolayers may be related by a specific relationship. The method may also include removing monolayers of the plurality of monolayers while retaining the first monolayer to form the substrate with the first monolayer. Systems for performing the methods and substrates resulting from the methods are also described.
