APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SORTING AND TRADING SCRAP FOR RECYCLING
An apparatus and a method for separating or sorting parts and communicating information about said parts with the purpose of trading them. For example, an apparatus can include a fluidic section that comprises an input section configured to receive a plurality of parts. The fluidic section can include at least two branches extending from the input section, and each of these at least two branches can have an outlet through which the fluid or part of the fluid can be routed. The apparatus can include a set of sensors configured to capture information about the plurality of parts in the fluidic section. The apparatus can further include a set of actuators configured to effect, based on the information, a change in a movement of a set of parts from the plurality of parts such that the set of parts is distributed via the fluid to at least one of the at least two branches. The apparatus may further include electronic equipment for storing, analyzing, and communicating information about the plurality of parts. The invention is expected to support the sorting and trading of scrap and recycled materials.
WASTE TREATMENT DEVICE AND RELATED MOUNTING METHOD
A waste treatment device for separating recyclable material from other waste comprising: —a first substantially cylindrical cavity inside which the waste to be treated is introduced; —a shaft, rotating about its axis, in the centre of the cylindrical cavity; —screening meshes which separate the cylindrical cavity from a second underlying cavity inside which waste material is collected; —hammers attached at a first end to the shaft so as to be able to rotate in a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the shaft. The hammers are provided with a respective scraper terminating in an edge remaining directed in a direction substantially parallel to the axis of the rotating shaft and projecting longitudinally beyond the end of the hammer so as to pass at a nominal minimum distance from the screening mesh. A related mounting method for a waste treatment device is also disclosed.
SORTATION-FRIENDLY CONTAINER AND METHOD
A container includes a floor, a side wall arranged to extend upwardly from the floor, and a filler neck coupled to an upper end of the side wall and arranged to extend upwardly from the side wall. The container is sized to be reclaimed during a recycling process.
Method recycling a roll of artificial turf
A method is for recycling a roll of artificial turf. The method includes the steps of processing the roll of artificial turf to yield a mixture of a quantity of infill and a quantity of synthetic fibers, the quantity of infill having rubber, sand, and debris, passing the mixture through one or more screens to extract a percentage of the quantity of synthetic fibers from the mixture and yield a first remaining mixture, and substantially separating the first remaining mixture into pieces of rubber of a first volume, pieces of rubber of a second volume greater than the first volume, sand, debris, and the remaining percentage of the quantity of synthetic fibers.
SEPARATION DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING WATER ABSORPTION MATERIAL
A separation device includes a first shredding unit, a first beating unit, and a first separation unit. The first shredding unit shreds a disposable diaper (processing target) containing a plastic (first material) and a water-absorbent polymer (second material) adhering to the plastic. The first beating unit beats the disposable diaper shredded by the first shredding unit with a first beating member, thereby promoting dissociation of the water-absorbent polymer from the plastic. The first separation unit rotates a first tubular portion in a state in which the disposable diaper beaten by the first beating unit is accommodated therein, thereby separating the water-absorbent polymer passing through first holes from the disposable diaper.
SEPARATION DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING WATER ABSORPTION MATERIAL
A separation device includes a first shredding unit, and a first separation unit. The first shredding unit shreds a disposable diaper (processing target) containing a plastic (first material) and a water-absorbent polymer (second material) adhering to the plastic. The first separation unit has a first tubular portion, and a first beating member. The first separation unit separates the water-absorbent polymer passing through first holes from the disposable diaper by beating the disposable diaper with a plate surface of the first beating member with the first tubular portion being rotated in a state in which the disposable diaper shredded by the first shredding unit is accommodated therein.
Waste management system
A waste management system, primarily intended to be for waste floating in water, though it can also be used on land. A shredding device will reduce the size of the particles of waste. Ocean water is removed by a drying device. The dried waste material is cryogenically frozen using liquid nitrogen or other suitable means. The frozen waste material is then pulverized and ground into a powder. The powder may then be sprayed into a gas-filled chamber and heated. Temperature, pressure and humidity are maintained within the chamber for more than one minute. Microwave or other radiation and catalysts may be used to enhance the process of extraction. The processed material is then removed from the chamber. Carbon and water may be recycled. The carbon may be used as fuel by the ship. Water may also be used by the ship or returned to the ocean in a non-toxic condition.
Separation Apparatus and Method; Apparatus and Method for Bringing Articles in a Layer
A separation apparatus is disclosed, comprising: a layerizer arranged to bring a group of particles in a layer on a transport surface with a constant spatial relation of the particles relative to each other in the layer; an identifier arranged to identify particles in the group of particles that have a specific property; a separator arranged to separate the particles in the group based on a difference in affinity between the particles and the separator; an affinity modifier arranged to modify said affinity for identified particles relative to non-identified particles in the group. The layerizer comprises a recirculating transport surface on which the particles of the layer are carried. The transport surface is arranged to move along a transport trajectory as a rigid plane. Further, a method for separation of particles from a group of particles is disclosed.
SORTING SYSTEM
A waste sorting system (1) comprising a tank (S) for collecting recyclable material (RM) and a sorting unit (U) comprising a first sorting station (10) connected to the tank (S) through a transport device (12) of the recyclable material and a first sorting basin (14) containing a first liquid solution (L1) of given density to separate, according to Archimedes' principle, the recyclable material (RM) into a first material phase (F1) of first selection and a second material phase (F2) of first submersion; the first sorting basin (14) is delimited at the bottom by a first lower collection portion (140), the sorting unit (U) comprising first scraper means (16) associated with the first sorting basin (14) for collecting the first phase (F1) from a free surface of the first liquid solution (L1) and first wash means (18) of this first phase (F1); the first lower collection portion (140) being passed through by a first conveyor (11).
USED PAPER DIAPER PROCESSING METHOD AND APPARATUS
In a processing tank where a processing liquid is stored up to a first water level, first stirring processing that removes water from a used paper diaper is performed to remove the water from the used paper diaper. Then, the processing liquid is stored up to a second water level higher than the first water level, and second stirring processing that separates excrement contained in the used paper diaper from the used paper diaper is performed to separate the excrement from the used paper diaper. After that, dehydration processing is performed.
