SAMPLE TESTING METHODS WITH AUTOMATED CLEANING
A sample testing system includes a test receptacle support structure, an optical element positioned for transmitting electromagnetic radiation emitted or reflected by a sample disposed in a test receptacle supported by the test receptacle support structure, a cleaning member, and an automated transport arm configured to (i) detachably couple the cleaning member, (ii) move the detachably-coupled cleaning member into a position proximate to and/or contacting the optical element, and (iii) decouple the cleaning member.
OPTICAL FIBER PROCESSING APPARATUS
The present disclosure relates to an optical fiber processing apparatus. The optical fiber processing apparatus comprising: a fixing module for fixing an optical fiber; and a stripping module for stripping layers outside an uncoated bare fiber of the optical fiber, The stripping module may comprise a stripping member which comprises two bodies arranged in parallel. Each body is provided with two or more kinds of blades suitable for stripping different sizes of layers outside the uncoated bare fiber, and each body is configured to be rotatable about its longitudinal axis to select different blades among the two or more kinds of blades, thereby enabling the stripping member to strip two or more sizes of layers outside the uncoated bare fiber.
CLEANING TOOL
A cleaning tool includes: a head including: a pressing part that presses a cleaning element against an object to be cleaned in a pressing direction, and having a first dimension in a width direction orthogonal to the pressing direction; and a neck part having a second dimension smaller than the first dimension in the width direction; and a housing that houses the head such that the pressing part and the neck part protrude from the housing in the pressing direction. A length of the housing in the width direction is equal to or greater than a length of protrusion of the pressing part protruding from the housing in the pressing direction.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OPTICAL FIBER ALIGNMENT
An optical fiber alignment assembly may comprise an alignment fixture including a groove configured to engage first and second optical fiber ferrules, a first clamping mechanism configured to selectively apply a force on the first optical fiber ferrule to constrain motion of the first optical fiber ferrule within the groove, and a second clamping mechanism configured to selectively apply a force on the second optical fiber ferrule to constrain motion of the second optical fiber ferrule within the groove.
Monitoring solvent in a fiber cleaning device
A device for cleaning an end face of an optical fiber may apply a vacuum to a solvent tank, where the device includes a vacuum generator to apply the vacuum and the solvent tank. The device may receive, from a solvent reservoir and in response to applying the vacuum, solvent with the solvent tank. Additionally, or alternatively, a device for cleaning an end face of an optical fiber may apply a pressure to a solvent reservoir, where the device includes a pressure port to apply the pressure and a solvent tank. The device may receive, from the solvent reservoir and in response to applying the pressure, solvent with the solvent tank.
OPTICAL CONNECTOR CLEANING TOOL
Provided is an optical connector cleaning tool with a simple structure that can sufficiently transmit transmission force. The optical connector cleaning tool includes a supply reel on which a cleaning material is wound so that it can be fed out, a winding reel that winds the cleaning material that has passed through a cleaning head, an operating body that can be pivoted by operation by an operator, and a rotary engaging body that engages with the operating body to transmit the movement of the operating body to rotate the winding reel, in which the arc caused by the pivoting of the operating body is inscribed in the arc caused by the rotation of the rotary engaging body, and the operating body and the rotary engaging body are engaged.
Optical connector cleaning tool and optical connector cleaning method
An object is to provide an optical connector cleaning tool capable of cleaning both an end face and a side face of a ferrule of an optical connector plug simultaneously and simply and a method of cleaning an optical connector in such a manner. An optical connector cleaning tool according to the present invention includes superimposing a plurality of cleaning sheets on each other, the cleaning sheets each including a plurality of cleaning strings arranged so as to be parallel to each other in a sheet shape, such that orientations of the cleaning strings included in the respective cleaning sheets differ from each other, pressing an end face of a ferrule of an optical connector plug against the cleaning sheets to clean the end face of the ferrule, and subsequently, sticking the ferrule through the cleaning sheets to clean a side face of the ferrule.
STRUCTURE FOR ATTACHING OBJECT TO BE ATTACHED AND METHOD FOR ATTACHING OBJECT TO BE ATTACHED
Provided is a structure for attaching an object to be attached capable of maintaining an appropriate attachment state of an object to be attached by attaching the object to be attached to an attachment portion with distortion being less likely to be accumulated. The structure for attaching an object to be attached, includes an object to be attached including a first surface having an adhesive layer and a second surface which is a surface on a side opposite to the first surface and has no adhesive layer, and an attachment portion to which the object to be attached is attached to face the second surface of the object to be attached, and at least a part of the object to be attached is deformable in a state where the object to be attached is attached.
Medical Ferrule Cleaning Device
An optical connector cleaning device configured to couple with and perform an optical cleaning and a disinfection of an optical connector of a medical device. The cleaning device includes a holding section and a cleaning section extending away from the holding section, the cleaning section extendable through a sterile barrier. A cleaning ribbon and a disinfecting ribbon, having a disinfectant absorbed therein, extend across a tip of the cleaning device so as to be sandwiched between the tip and the optical connector. An optical assessment system of the device evaluates optical transmission of the optical connector. Manipulation of actuators causes sliding displacement of the cleaning ribbon and the disinfecting ribbon across a tip of the cleaning device. Replaceable cartridges store unused and used portions of the cleaning ribbon and a disinfecting ribbon.
