Combined rolling and extruding method and the device for performing the same
A method for combined rolling and extruding of cast billet is proposed. When implementing the method for combined rolling and extruding of metals or alloys, a cast billet with a predetermined temperature is fed to the working gauge, in which it is rolled and then to the die, through which the cast billet is extruded. When the cast billet is fed into the working gauge, a cladding layer of metal or alloy is created on the surfaces of the rolls by extruding the cast billet through the gaps formed between the surfaces of the rolls and the die. This invention makes it possible to improve the quality of the resulting products, as well as to increase the efficiency of the process as a whole.
MACRO-MOLECULAR LEAKAGE-FREE SELF-ADHERING ALUMINUM FOIL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
A macro-molecular leakage-free self-adhering aluminum foil has two layers of aluminum foil compounded using a PET film, and the other surfaces of each layer coated with a modified PE adhesive layer respectively; or air gaps in one surface or two surfaces are filled with nano-aluminum to form a permeable air gap-free surface. The foil has advantages: 1, high folding resistance, fatigue resistance and strength 2, wrapping self-adhering performance is good, and stripping strength formed after adhesion is several times as high as that of the prior art; 3, air gaps in the surface of the aluminum foil filled with nano-aluminum powder result in improved compactness; manufacture from low-grade aluminum foil, and so that rolling precision requirements are lowered, and manufacturing cost reduced; 4, insulating strength is high, shielding effect is good, the return loss phenomenon is avoided, and tensile strength is good.
METHOD AND COMPOSITION FOR RECYCLING ALUMINUM CONTAINERS
The present disclosure provides improved processes and compositions for continuously casting aluminum alloys. The resulting aluminum alloy sheet is useful for container body stock.
METAL CASTING AND ROLLING LINE
A continuous casting and rolling line for casting, rolling, and otherwise preparing metal strip can produce distributable metal strip without requiring cold rolling or the use of a solution heat treatment line. A metal strip can be continuously cast from a continuous casting device and coiled into a metal coil, optionally after being subjected to post-casting quenching. This intermediate coil can be stored until ready for hot rolling. The as-cast metal strip can undergo reheating prior to hot rolling, either during coil storage or immediately prior to hot rolling. The heated metal strip can be cooled to a rolling temperature and hot rolled through one or more roll stands. The rolled metal strip can optionally be reheated and quenched prior to coiling for delivery. This final coiled metal strip can be of the desired gauge and have the desired physical characteristics for distribution to a manufacturing facility.
METHOD AND EQUIPMENT FOR COOLING ON A REVERSING HOT ROLLING MILL
The invention relates to a hot reversing mill equipped with one or more cooling systems consisting of bars of nozzles spraying an aluminum blank. It also relates to the hot rolling process associated with this hot reversing mill wherein the cooling system serves at least once making it possible to produce aluminum sheets advantageously. It also relates to the process for rolling an AA6xxx series aluminum alloy wherein a blank is cooled during the hot rolling and a sheet obtained with this process. The invention makes it possible to enhance the productivity of reversing mills by enhancing the metallurgical quality and/or the productivity of the other fabrication steps. The invention is particularly useful for providing superior quality 6xxx alloy sheets intended for the automotive industry.
High friction rolling of thin metal strip
Described herein are thin metal strips having hot rolled exterior side surfaces characterized as being primarily or substantially free of all prior austenite grain boundaries, or at least primarily or substantially free of all prior austenite grain boundaries, and including elongated surface structure. As a result, because the prior austenite grain boundaries are not primarily or substantially present, all such prior austenite grain boundaries are not susceptible to grain boundary etching due to acid etching or pickling. In particular examples, the thin metal strips undergo hot rolling performed with a coefficient of friction equal to or greater than 0.20 with or without use of lubrication.
Rolling and preparation method of magnesium alloy sheet
The present disclosure provides a high-efficient rolling process for magnesium alloy sheet. Parameters of the rolling process are: the rolling speed of each rolling pass is 10-50 m/min, the rolling reduction of each rolling pass is controlled to be 40-90%, and both the preheating temperature before rolling and the rolling temperature of each rolling pass are 250-450° C. The present disclosure also provides a preparation method for magnesium alloy sheet, comprising: 1) preparing rolling billets; 2) high-efficient hot rolling; and 3) performing annealing. The rolling process can improve the mechanical performance especially, the strength and ductility of the sheet.
Method of making 6XXX aluminium sheets
The invention concerns a method for producing a 6xxx series aluminium sheet comprising the steps of homogenizing an ingot made from a 6XXX series aluminum alloy; cooling the homogenized ingot with a cooling rate in a range of from 150° C./h to 2000° C./h directly to the hot rolling starting temperature; hot rolling the ingot to a hot rolling final thickness and coiling at the hot rolling final thickness with such conditions that at least 50% recrystallization is obtained; cold rolling to obtain a cold rolled sheet. The method of the invention is particularly helpful to make sheets for the automotive industry which combine high tensile yield strength and good formability properties suitable for cold stamping operations, as well as high surface quality and high corrosion resistance with a high productivity.

Microstructure calculating apparatus
An object is to predict a microstructure of Al in an industrial process more accurately than conventional techniques. In an information processor (1), an inter-step information integration section supplies a PC(i) and an MS(i, 0) to each i-th step calculating section included in a step calculating section. Each i-th step calculating section supplies an MS(i, t) and a TMP(i, t) to a microstructure calculating section and thereby causes the microstructure calculating section to find an MS(i, tfi), and supplies the MS(i, tfi) to the inter-step information integration section (11). The inter-step information integration section (11) sets, as an MS(i+1, 0), the MS(i, tfi) received from the i-th step calculating section.
