Roller framework having a framework cooler for cooling a steel band

A framework cooler (20) for cooling a steel strip (50), installed in a roller framework (11), in place of the work rolls (5) and their associated installation pieces (5a and 5b). The framework cooler (20) is sized to be installed into the roller framework (11) through the operator-side roller stands (1) of the roller framework (11). The cooler (20) includes a lower (21b) and an upper water tank (21a), each having a connection (22) for a coolant, and includes a plurality of cooling nozzles (23), or cooling tubes (23a) arranged in the depth direction (T) of the framework cooler (20) or at least one cooling slot (24) extending in the depth direction (T). The bottom and top sides of the steel strip (50) may be cooled.

Rolling mill for solid elongated products

A rolling mill for solid elongated products, defining a rolling axis, including first and second rolling stations. Each station includes a load-bearing structure, a removable roll-holder cartridge with three rolling rolls movable radially and rotating around three equally spaced axes of rotation, and a roll having a vertical rotational axis. Three actuators mount on the load-bearing structure; three gear motor groups connect to the rolls by single extensions. The position of the second station rolls is rotated 60° from the first stations. The rolls with a vertical axis of the first and second stations are arranged on opposite sides of the rolling axis. All rolling stations allow lateral extraction of roll-holder cartridges from the same side of the rolling mill. The stations on the cartridge extraction side have actuators movable relative to the load-bearing structure. The stations with vertical rolls arranged on the opposite side have fixed actuators.

COLD ROLLING OF ROLLED STOCK

A rolling device (1), a method and a rolling train (35) for the cold rolling of rolled stock (3). The rolling device (1)-a rolling stand (5), multiple assembly sets for optionally assembling the rolling stand (5) with one of the assembly sets, and a working-roll drive. Each assembly set comprises two working rolls (7, 8), and for each working roll (7, 8) two working-roll chocks (9). A spindle head (11), can be connected to a working roll journal (16) of the working roll (7, 8). The working rolls (7, 8) of different assembly sets have different working-roll diameter ranges, which are determined by a respective minimum working-roll diameter and maximum working-roll diameter. The rolling stand (5) has mountings (19) for a respective working-roll chock (9) of an assembly set. The working-roll drive has two drive spindles (27), each for driving a working roll (7, 8) via the spindle head (11) assigned to the working roll (7, 8) by rotations about a longitudinal axis of the drive spindle (27).

A roll stand for the rolling of rolling stock, especially metal products. The roll stand includes at least two chocks for mounting at least one roll, the roll being rotatably mounted in the chocks by its two cylindrical roll necks. A cylindrical neck bushing is arranged on the roll neck with radial play. A rotationally fixed annual axial bearing is axially offset from the neck bushing. The bearing arrangement for the roll necks in the chocks is formed as a plain bearing, preferably a hydrodynamic oil film bearing. When subjected to a load in a rolling process, the neck bushing moves and deforms not only in the radial direction, but also in the axial direction.
