Method for controlling a hot strip rolling line

A flat rolling stock of metal passes through roll stands of a finishing train, and a cooling section, in succession. Initial values which characterize the energy content of rolling stock points are determined, at the latest, when said rolling stock points enters into the finishing train. The rolling stock is tracked as it passes through the finishing train and cooling section. The initial values, trackings, and energy content influences are used to determine expected values for the energy content of the rolling stock. The energy content expected for a predetermined location, which lies between the first roll stand and the first cooling device of the cooling section is ascertained and used to determine a target energy content progression, from the predetermined location until the rolling stock passes out of the cooling section. The cooling devices are controlled based on the target energy content progression.

Before the rolling of a metal strip on a finishing train, the actual width and actual temperature of portions of the metal strip are respectively detected. The portions of the metal strip are tracked while they run through the finishing train. The rolling stands are respectively assigned width controlling devices which determine the setpoint width and the actual width after the rolling in the assigned rolling stand, and a downstream additional setpoint value, by which the desired tension downstream of the assigned rolling stand is corrected in order to bring the actual width closer to the setpoint width. The downstream additional setpoint value is both taken into account in the determination of the actual width and fed to a tension controller, which sets an actual tension, in the metal strip downstream of the assigned rolling stand, in accordance with the corrected setpoint tension. Determining the downstream additional setpoint value by the difference between the setpoint width and the actual width of a portion of the metal strip.

PLATE THICKNESS CONTROL DEVICE AND PLATE THICKNESS CONTROL METHOD

A plate thickness control device controlling plate thickness of a hot rolling mill that includes a rolling stand. The plate thickness control device includes: a pyrometer disposed on an entry side of the rolling stand; a difference calculation part that outputs a difference temperature between a lock-on temperature of the plate-to-be-rolled measured by the pyrometer and a measurement value of a portion other than a tip portion of the plate-to-be-rolled measured by the pyrometer; a tracking part that transfers the difference temperature from the position of the pyrometer to immediately below the rolling stand based on plate speed of the plate-to-be-rolled; and a computation part that calculates a screw-down amount of the rolling stand based on the difference temperature transmitted from the tracking part.

The invention relates to a method for producing a metallic strip or sheet (1), in which the strip or sheet (1) is rolled in a multi-stand rolling mill (11) and is discharged downstream of the last roll stand (14) of the rolling mill (11) in the conveying direction (F), wherein the strip or sheet (1) is cooled in the multi-stand rolling mill (11) and/or downstream of the rolling mill (11) as viewed in conveying direction (F), wherein a temperature of the strip or sheet (1) is measured upstream of the last roll stand (14) of the rolling mill (11) as viewed in conveying direction (F). Based on this measured temperature, a temperature for the strip or sheet (1) at the exit (A) of the last roll stand (14) of the rolling mill (11), is then determined purely by calculation with the aid of a temperature calculation model, with which temperature further processes of the manufacturing method can be controlled or regulated after a comparison with a predetermined reference value.

ADAPTATION OF A ROLL MODEL

A method for operating a storage device for two rolls in a roll stand for rolling metal. The storage device is component part of the roll stand or can be positioned relative to the roll stand so that the rolls can be transferred from the roll stand into the storage device or vice versa. A measuring system is provided which detects the temperatures and/or the diameters of the rolls individually and independently of one another, at least at predefined detection positions, as viewed in the direction of the roll axes. After transmission to an automation unit that controls the roll stand, the unit can adapt a roll model, by means of which it repeatedly determines the temperatures and/or the diameters of the rolls, at predefined determination positions, in the direction of the roll axes, using operating data of the roll stand for the rolls of the same type.
