APPARATUS FOR WINDING UP A METAL STRIP
An apparatus for winding up a metal strip into a coil. A frame in which a second counter-bending roller is mounted in a rotatable manner. The frame is movable with the aid of a second setting device between a coiler shaft position and a roller bed position. In the roller bed position, the second counter-bending roller alongside a first counter-bending roller acts as the roller bed roller of a roller bed which is arranged above the coiling device.
WINDING MACHINE FOR WRAPPING MULTIPLE COILS OF ROLLED MATERIAL AROUND A REEL
A winding machine (100; 100a, 100b) for wrapping strands of rolled material, such as a bar, a rod, wire or the like, around a reel into coils: a reel (50; 50a, 50b); a base flange (1) defining a first catching recess (6) intended to receive an end of a first strand (17; 17a, 17b); a first cover (9) movable between an open position leaving the first catching recess (6) exposed and a closed position covering the first catching recess (6) to form a closed passage for the end of the first strand (17; 17a, 17b) in order to secure the end of the first strand to the reel (50; 50a, 50b). At least a second element (2) defining a second catching recess (4); and at least a second cover (8) movable between an open position leaving the further catching recess (4) exposed and a closed position covering the second catching recess (4) to form a closed passage for the end of a second strand (27; 27a, 27b) in order to secure the end of the second strand to the reel (50; 50a, 50b).
COILING DEVICE FOR A LARGE RANGE OF METAL STRIP THICKNESSES
A coiling device includes a coiler (1) having a coiling mandrel (3) for coiling a metal strip (2) which is fed (x) to the coiler (1), and a coiling swing arm (4) having a front and a rear pressure roller (5, 6) and a deflection plate (7). A swing arm drive (8) lines up the coiling swing arm (4) with the coiling mandrel (3) and is driven away from the coiling mandrel (3). An upper duct flap (9) upstream of the coiler (1) in the feed direction (x) for guiding the metal strip (2). A flap drive (10) for positioning the upper duct flap (9) such that, when the coiling swing arm (4) is lined up with the coiling mandrel (3), the upper duct flap is arranged between the coiling mandrel (3) and the front pressure roller (5) of the coiling swing arm (4) or is arranged upstream of the front pressure roller (5) of the coiling swing arm (4). In the first-mentioned case, the metal strip (2) is deflected around the coiling mandrel (3) only by the rear pressure roller (6) and the deflection plate (7) of the coiling swing arm (4) and, in the last-mentioned case, additionally also by the front pressure roller (5).

A coiling device that includes a coiler (1) having a coiling mandrel (3) for coiling a metal strip, and a coiling swing arm (4) having front and a rear pressure rollers (5, 6) and a deflection plate (7). A swing arm drive (8) lines up the coiling swing arm (4) with the coiling mandrel (3) and is driven away from the coiling mandrel (3). An upper duct flap (9) upstream of the coiler (1) in the feed direction (x) guides the metal strip (2). A flap drive (10) positions the upper duct flap (9) such that, when the coiling swing arm (4) is lined up with the coiling mandrel (3), the upper duct flap is arranged between the coiling mandrel (3) and the front pressure roller (5) of the coiling swing arm (4) or is arranged upstream of the front pressure roller (5) of the coiling swing arm (4).
Coiler device and gate device provided with guide unit
This gate device is provided with a guide unit having a guide section that is disposed at the downstream side of pinch rollers at a path line along which a metal sheet is conveyed, opens/closes a coil-up line that is curved from the path line, and guides the upwards-facing surface side of the metal sheet led in to the coil-up line. A configuration is adopted such that the guide unit has a main body frame and a liner that is attached to the main body frame, forms at least a portion of the second guide surface that guides the metal sheet, has a lower coefficient of friction than the main body frame, and has a lower hardness than that of the metal sheet.
Coiler device provided with chute roller
A coiler device (1), provided with a chute roller (50), has: pinch rollers (10a, 10b) that lead a metal sheet carried in along a path line (L1) to a coil-up line (L2) that is curved from the path line (L1); a mandrel (20) that coils the metal sheet and is disposed ahead of the coil-up line (L2); and a chute roller (50) that exposes at least the leading end of the metal sheet to the coil-up line (L2) when being wound to the mandrel (20), and suppresses curving of the metal sheet toward a surface of the metal sheet facing the chute roller (50).
Coiler device provided with chute guide
This coiler device provided with a chute guide has: pinch rollers that lead a metal sheet carried in along a path line to a coil-up line that is curved from the path line; a mandrel that is disposed ahead of the coil-up line and coils up the metal sheet; and a chute guide that guides the upward-facing surface side of the metal sheet at the coil-up line and introduces the metal sheet to the coil-up opening of the mandrel. A configuration is adopted such that the chute guide has: a main body frame; and a liner that is attached to the main body frame, forms at least a portion of the guide surface that guides the metal sheet, has a lower coefficient of friction than the main body frame, and has a lower hardness than the metal sheet.

Aspects of the present invention relate to a coil sampling stand apparatus which generally has a frame, at least two rollers operatively coupled to the frame, a roller drive operatively coupled to at least one of the at least two rollers, and a peeler assembly comprising a peeler (e.g., peeler, knife, member with an edge, or the like) that is configured to engage and disengage a coil between the at least two rollers. The steel coil may be positioned onto the at least two rollers on the frame of the coil sampling apparatus. The peeler is engaged with the coil and the coil is rotated in order to allow the peeler to peel a tail edge of a layer of the coil off the coil and pass the tail edge and layer of the coil peeled off of the coil under at least one of the rollers.
