A method of manufacturing a can body includes: molding a preform of a can including: molding a dome part on a bottom of a bottomed cylindrical body, the dome part being concave into the bottomed cylindrical body; and molding as annular leg part projecting in a direction opposite to a direction in which the dome part is concave, the leg part including an inner peripheral section which is inclined from a ground point of the leg part toward a can axis in a vertical cross-sectional view taken along the can axis; painting at least one of an inner surface and an outer surface of the preform of the can; and bottom reforming to mold a molded can including a curved end around the dome part by pressing an inner surface of the dome part of the preform of the can painted by the painting.

The tool includes a pressing body that is inserted into the can body, and that abuts on an inner surface of the dome part, and a forming die that forms a curved end part heading inward on a lower end part of the leg part.

Methods and apparatus for forming a metallic dome are provided. More specifically, the present invention relates to a metallic dome that may be used to seal an aerosol container. The metallic dome includes a novel flattened relief panel and an inwardly oriented arch configured to deform in response to pressure within the aerosol container exceeding a predetermined amount. In one embodiment, the flattened relief panel is substantially planar. Optionally, the metallic dome includes at least a first inwardly oriented arch with a first radius of curvature and a second inwardly oriented arch with a second radius of curvature.

Methods and apparatus for forming a metallic dome are provided. More specifically, the present invention relates to a metallic dome that may be used to seal an aerosol container. A method of forming a bottom of a metal container includes forming a first dome profile in the bottom of the metal container using the first domer and the second domer of a domer assembly. The method includes forming a second dome profile in the bottom of the metal container by moving the second domer relative to the first domer.
