RATCHET ROD BENDER AND RELATED METHODS
Implant bending instruments disclosed herein can have a plurality of bending elements that can be symmetrically driven to bend or contour an implant, such as a spinal rod. A single actuator handle can be moved to drive a compound gear train and move the bending elements to intersect an implant-receiving channel and bend an implant received therein. Instruments of the present disclosure can have an increased mechanical advantage than conventional bending instruments thereby allowing for an increased amount of force to bend an implant. A locking pawl can selectively prevent counter rotation of the gear train such that the handle can be actuated a plurality of times to achieve a desired contour angle.
Conduit Bender
A tool for bending an elongated workpiece includes a shaft having a first shaft portion and a second shaft portion, and a coupling assembly coupling the first shaft portion and the second shaft portion. The coupling assembly has a locked configuration in which the coupling assembly inhibits movement of the first shaft portion relative to the second shaft portion and an unlocked configuration in which the coupling assembly permits movement of the first shaft portion relative to the second shaft portion. The tool also includes a shoe coupled to the second shaft portion. The shoe has a curved bottom portion and a hook configured to hold the workpiece against the curved bottom portion. The curved bottom portion is engageable with the workpiece to bend the workpiece.

METHOD FOR PREDICTING SPRINGBACK AMOUNT AND METHOD FOR BENDING DEFORMED REINFORCING BAR
There are provided a method for predicting a springback amount and a method for bending a deformed reinforcing bar including: supplying the deformed reinforcing bar bending the supplied deformed reinforcing bar, and subsequently measuring a first bending angle in a state of releasing a bending force on the deformed reinforcing bar; further bending the reinforcing bar from which the bending force has been released, and subsequently measuring a second bending angle in a state of releasing the bending force; and predicting a relationship between the bending angle and the springback amount by using the measurement results after executing the further bending once or a plurality of times, in which the bending angle is greater for subsequent steps.
