Scattered topography rolling of powered metal gears
A method to form a gear for motor vehicles includes one or more of the following: placing a blank between a first tool member and a second tool member, each of the first tool member and the second tool member having a set of teeth; and moving the first tool member and the second tool member towards the blank while rotating the first tool member and the second tool member to form a gear with a set of teeth from the blank. Each tooth of the set of teeth has a topography that varies tooth-to-tooth.
Method And Device For Grinding Tooth Flanks Of The Teeth Of Toothed Workpieces, And Tool For Carrying Out The Method
The invention relates to a method and a device for finishing toothed workpieces (2) using a tool (1) which is designed in the form of a power skiving cut-ter and is rotated by a tool spindle (17) and which has machining teeth (7) that mesh with tooth gaps (6) of the workpiece (2) in a rolling movement, said workpiece being supported by a workpiece spindle (15), which is arranged in a skewed manner relative to the tool rotational axis (4) and is driven synchronously thereto, such that machining edges (8) of the machining teeth (7) machine the tooth flanks (9) of the teeth (5) of the workpiece (2) in the direction of the tooth flank extension. According to the invention, the tool is used such that the machining edges (8) machine the tooth flanks (9) so as to only grind same without removing chips, wherein for this purpose the rounding radius of the machining edges (8) is greater than the chip thickness or cutting depth (E).
GEAR-TOOTH SYSTEM AND SHAFT/HUB CONNECTION COMPONENT
A gear-tooth system can be produced on a component of a shaft/hub connection. The component can have a first axis of rotation and a gear-tooth system; wherein the gear-tooth system of the component comprises a plurality of teeth, disposed next to one another along a circumference direction, wherein a tooth interstice is disposed between two teeth, in each instance, and each tooth has a head region and a flank region, in each instance, between head region and a foot region disposed in the tooth interstice, wherein the tooth interstice has a tooth gap width in the flank region; wherein the gear-tooth system has at least a first region and subsequently a second region along an axial direction parallel to the first axis of rotation; wherein the first region has a first tooth gap width and the second region has a second tooth gap width, which is less in comparison.

Rolling device for rolling work pieces having a toothing, and associated method
A rolling device for work pieces with toothing, in particular gear wheels, includes first and second shaping tools which are guided by a guide relative to the work pieces. With respect to the work pieces, a first region of a tooth flank is shaped with the first shaping tool and a second region of the tooth flank is shaped by the second shaping tool. The first and second shaping tools are respectively mounted on first and second rollers. The second roller has an axial thickness on the circumference, which differs from the axial thickness of the first roller such that the second region of the tooth flank is different from the first region.
Method for manufacturing gear
The present disclosure provides a method for manufacturing a gear capable of processing a projection formed on a tooth tip by shot peening while reducing time for manufacturing the gear. A method for manufacturing a gear includes: a process of hardening, by performing shot peening in which shot particles are jetted onto a tooth surface 1a of a gear base material, the tooth surface while applying residual stress to the tooth surface; a process of softening, by at least heating a tooth tip of the gear base material having the hardened tooth surface, the tooth tip; and a process of rotationally driving the gear base material having the softened tooth tip by engaging it with another gear.
SCATTERED TOPOGRAPHY ROLLING OF POWERED METAL GEARS

Each tooth of the set of teeth has a topography that varies tooth-to-tooth.
Method for manufacturing a gear
A method for manufacturing a gear which effectively prevent a crack from occurring inside a tooth part when rolling processing is performed on a teeth part of a gear raw material is achieved. A method according to one embodiment for manufacturing a gear by performing rolling processing on a tooth part of a sintered gear raw material. The method includes, when the rolling processing is performed on the tooth part of the gear raw material, pressing the gear raw material toward a center of rotation of the gear raw material by a rolling machine and, when at least the rolling processing is performed on the tooth part of the gear raw material toward a center of a thickness thereof by a pressing machine, pressing a region where an internal density of the tooth part of the gear raw material decreases.
Gear manufacturing method and gear manufactured thereby
A gear manufacturing method includes a step of preparing a gear blank; a step (teeth cutting step) of cutting the gear blank to form a half-finished gear having a plurality of gear teeth; a step (heat treatment step) of heat-treating the half-finished gear having the gear teeth; and a step (form rolling step) of rolling the half-finished gear which is subjected to the heat treatment, in which the gear teeth of the half-finished gear which is subjected to the teeth cutting step is formed with protuberances on both sides in a circumferential direction, and at the form rolling step, the protuberances are pressed by a rolling die, so that the half-finished gear becomes a gear.
