PROCESS FOR OBTAINING A LOW SILICON ALUMINIUM ALLOY PART
The part made of low-silicon aluminum alloy contains magnesium, copper, manganese, titanium, and strontium. Said part is obtained by a method that consists in: casting said alloy in a mold so as to obtain the part; after the casting, demolding the part constituting a preform that is still hot; cooling said preform and then subjecting it to an operation suitable for reheating it to a temperature lying in the range 470° C. to 550° C.; positioning said part between two shells of a die that defines a cavity of dimensions substantially equal to but less than the dimensions of the cavity of the mold; and strongly pressing the two shells together to exert on the part disposed between said shells a combined pressing and surface kneading effect.

Shaft for steering device, method of manufacturing shaft for steering device, and electric power steering device
To provide a method of manufacturing a shaft for a steering device, the shaft including a spline shaft part to be coupled with an input shaft, a stopper part to be coupled with an output shaft, and an intermediate shaft part that couples the spline shaft part with the stopper part. The method includes: a step of forming a hole part recessed in an axial direction from one end of a pillar-shaped material by forging; and a step of pressing the material in which the hole part has been formed into a die to perform drawing in a radial direction on a portion of the material at which the spline shaft part and the intermediate shaft part are formed, and prolonging a length along the axial direction of the hole part at the same time by forging.

Method for cutting a cast strand or intermediate strip using shears
A method for cutting a cast strand or intermediate strip using shears. In order to facilitate improved rolling of the section having significantly reduced thickness, the method according has the following steps: a) bringing part of the completely solidified cast strand or intermediate strip in the conveying direction (F) of the cast strand or intermediate strip in front of the shears; b) placing a first blade of the shears onto the one surface of the cast strand or intermediate strip and placing a second blade of the shears onto the other surface of the cast strand or intermediate strip and performing a cut by carrying out a relative movement of the two blades, wherein at least one of the blades is in a pushed-forward position; c) upset forging or upset forging with stamping a wedge-shaped contour on the end of the cast strand.

Method for Creating Elevations in a Workpiece, Apparatus and Product
The invention relates to a method for creating elevations (21) in a workpiece (1) by forming techniques. In a first step, depressions (11, 12) are created, with dimensions that differ from dimensions of depressions (20) to be created between the elevations (21). In a second step, the elevations (21) are created from regions (13) between the depressions (11, 12). The invention also relates to an apparatus for implementing the method and to a product thereby created.
