INJECTION MOLDING SYSTEM FOR THE INJECTION MOLDING OF AMORPHOUS METALS

One aspect relates to an injection molding system for the injection molding of amorphous metals, an injection molding unit for the injection molding of amorphous metals and an injection molding process for amorphous metals.

The injection molding system includes a channel for feeding a molten metal and a slider unit including a slider and a pressure system. The slider is located between the channel and at least one injection molding cavity and is movable between a rest position and an injection position. In the rest position, the slider blocks the access of the molten metal to the injection molding cavity and in the injection position it allows the molten metal to access the injection molding cavity. The pressure system holds the slider in the rest position and allows the slider to move to the injection position when a minimum pressure is exceeded.

A die casting insert for producing die casted metal parts from liquid metal. The die casting insert has an outer casing shaped to be fixed in the die block of the die casting apparatus. The die casting insert also has a stopper with a purge opening that is adapted to evacuate contaminants topping the liquid metal as pressure is applied to the liquid metal. The stopper, fitted to mate with the hollow inner cavity of the injection sleeve, is constructed to seal the hollow inner cavity of the injection sleeve except at the purge opening when in a first position; and to permit the flow of the liquid metal into at least one molding cavity when the stopper is in a second position. The die casting insert also has an activation mechanism configured to shift the stopper between the first position and the second position.

An actuator cylinder comprises a first piston which is interconnected to the closure element. The first piston is arranged movable between a first position, in which the closure element is fully closed, and a second position in which the closure element is fully open. A second piston is interconnected to the closure element, and is arranged movable between a third position in which the second piston is not interconnected to the closure element and a fourth position in which the closure element is limited in an intermediate position.

The present disclosure is directed to an injection nozzle for an injection molding device comprising a drive train for at least one closure element arranged movable in a nozzle head in a first direction. The drive train comprises a cam mechanism with a cam head comprising a wedge and at least one side plate. The wedge and the side plate are together arranged moveable in a second direction. Per closure element the wedge comprises at least one first drive surface which interacts with a second drive surface arranged at the closure element at least during closing of the closure element. The at least one side plate comprises a third drive surface which interacts with a fourth drive surface arranged at the closure element at least during opening of the closure element.

The selecting and feeding of the casting chambers is carried out alternately from the at least two casting chambers. The method further includes heating the bolt by means of induction. Melting of the bolt in the selected casting chamber is carried out after the feeding and introducing of the selected casting chamber into the diecasting machine but before an opening of the outlet opening of the selected casting chamber in order to fill the cavities is completed.
