Laser-solid-forming manufacturing device and method
A laser-solid-forming manufacturing device includes a laser emitter, a magnetic field generator, and a forming platform. The laser emitter emits a laser beam which acts on a feedstock to form a molten pool. The magnetic field generator includes a spiral copper coil, a first electrode and a second electrode. The spiral copper coil is formed by spirally winding a copper tube. The first and second electrodes are arranged at respective ends of the copper tube and are used for loading a voltage to generate a magnetic field in the spiral copper coil. At any time, the spiral copper coil sleeves an action point of the laser beam and the feedstock. A corresponding laser-solid-forming manufacturing method is also presented.
Method and apparatus for manufacturing layered model
A method for producing an additively manufactured object includes melting and solidifying a filler metal to form weld beads and depositing the weld beads adjoining each other, thereby forming a weld-bead layer, and repeatedly depositing a next weld-bead layer on the formed weld-bead layer to conduct additive manufacturing. The method includes a bead formation step of forming a new weld bead so as to fill a recess formed by at least three of the already formed weld beads, in a cross-section perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the weld beads.
Apparatus and method for producing large workpieces by means of a mobile production unit
The invention relates to an apparatus (10) for producing a three-dimensional workpiece, comprising: a carrier (12) adapted to receive material (14) for producing the workpiece; at least one mobile production unit (24), a moving unit (18) that is adapted to move the mobile production unit (24) relative to the carrier (12) so as to position the mobile production unit (24) oppositely to different sections of the carrier (12); a sensing unit that is adapted to generate sensor signals relating to a relative arrangement of the mobile production unit (24) and the carrier (12); and a control unit that is configured to, in addition to the positioning of the mobile production unit (24) via the moving unit (18), provide at least one fine positioning function to compensate for an offset from a desired relative arrangement of the mobile production unit (24) and the carrier (18) based on the sensor signals generated by the sensing unit. The invention further relates to a method for producing a three-dimensional workpiece.
Machining centre and method for machining workpieces
A machining centre comprising a machining plane; a subtractive unit for performing chip removal on a workpiece positioned on the machining plane; the subtractive unit comprising a first carriage that is slidable parallel to an operating axis; an additive unit arranged to perform machining by additive production techniques on the machining plane; the additive unit comprising a second carriage that is slidable along the operating axis. The additive unit is provided with a first coupling portion and said subtractive unit is provided with a second coupling portion couplable with the first coupling portion. In one step, the subtractive unit adopts a pick-up configuration in which the first coupling portion is coupled with the second coupling portion to connect the subtractive unit to the additive unit at least along the operating axis. In the pick-up configuration, the subtractive unit, connected to the additive unit, is configured to move the additive unit.
METHOD FOR THE ADDITIVE MANUFACTURE OF COMPONENTS, DEVICE, CONTROL METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
The present invention relates to a method for the additive manufacture of components (2), wherein a pulverulent or wire-shaped metal construction material is deposited on a platform (4) in layers, melted using a primary heating device (7), in particular using a laser or electron beam (14), and is heated using an induction heating device (8), which has an alternating voltage supply device (9) with an induction generator (16) and at least one induction coil (10) which can be moved above the platform (4). The induction generator (16) is controlled such that the induction generator is driven with a different output at different specified positions of the at least one induction coil (10). The invention additionally relates to a device, to a control method, and to a storage medium.

LASER TREATMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IN-SITU LASER SHOCK PEENING (LSP) TREATMENT OF PARTS DURING PRODUCTION THEREOF BY A SELECTIVE LASER SINTERING OR MELTING (SLS/SLM) PROCESS, AND ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS AND METHODS IMPLEMENTING THE SAME
A laser treatment system and method for imparting beneficial residual stresses into a desired part during production thereof by a Selective Laser Sintering or Melting (SLS/SLM) process, the method including repeatedly subjecting the part to an in-situ Laser Shock Peening (LSP) treatment during the SLS/SLM process. The in-situ LSP treatment includes selectively bringing an LSP module in contact with a surface of the part during the SLS/SLM process, and subjecting the LSP module to the action of a first laser beam to impart beneficial residual stresses into the part. The LSP module is movable between a building chamber where the part is being produced for the purpose of carrying out the in-situ LSP treatment, and a separate storage chamber when the LSP module is not used for the purpose of carrying out the in-situ LSP treatment. The invention is also implementable in a corresponding additive manufacturing system and method.
