Systems and Methods for Conduit Deburr
Systems and methods for conduit deburring include rotational bits and/or supporting structure for reducing burrs on conduit or other pipe or tubing, which often result from cutting. Certain devices simultaneously act on an entire circumference of a tubular end opening. Other devices act on only a portion of a circumference of a tubular end opening, but are guided, registered, or oriented for travel along the circumference to cut a chamfer of a predetermined angle along an interior edge thereof.
Hole chamfering device
The present disclosure belongs to the technical field of hole machining equipment, and provides a hole chamfering device including blades in bilateral symmetry and a blade posture adjusting assembly. The hole chamfering device not only can be fed from the front face of a hole to complete chamfering work on the front face of the hole, but also can solve the problem of chamfering the back face of the hole under the condition that a chamfering tool cannot be directly fed from the back face of the hole. The hole chamfering device can be fed from the front face of the hole to complete chamfering work on the front face and the back face of the hole, and meanwhile, can remove burrs in the hole, thereby meeting the machining requirement of conventional chamfering of the hole.
INTERCHANGEABLE CUTTING INSERTS AND METHODS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SAME
In one aspect, a pipe cutting assembly is provided and includes a first base, a second base and a cutting insert. The first base includes a first projection and a first coupling aperture defined in the first projection. The second base is separate from the first base and includes a second projection and a second coupling aperture defined in the second projection. The cutting insert includes a cutting edge and an insert aperture defined therein. The cutting insert interchangeably couples to the first base and the second base. With the cutting insert coupled to the first base, the first projection is at least partially positioned in the insert aperture, and, with the cutting insert coupled to the second base, the second projection is at least partially positioned in the insert aperture. In one aspect, a pipe machining apparatus is provided and includes this pipe cutting assembly.
Tube Peeling Witness Groove Methods and Apparatus
A tube scraping tool comprises: a handle; and a blade, carried by the handle. The tool has first and second laterally spaced apart portions for engaging the tube outer diameter (OD) surface during a drawing of the tool along the tube. The blade has a cutting edge trailing the first and second portions during the drawing and laterally between the first and second portions.
METHODS OF FORMING HOLES IN A WORKPIECE AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS
Described herein is a first method of forming a hole in a workpiece, having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. The method includes forming a first hole, having a first diameter, in the workpiece by passing a first cutter through the workpiece from the first surface to the second surface. Additionally, the method includes forming a chamfer in the second surface of the workpiece concentric with the first hole using a second cutter. The chamfer has a second diameter larger than the first diameter. The method further includes forming a second hole, having a third diameter larger than the first diameter, in the workpiece concentric with the first hole by passing a third cutter through the workpiece from the first surface to the second surface.
Interchangeable cutting inserts and methods associated with the same
A cutting insert configured to couple to a pipe machining apparatus is provided and includes a first cutting edge and a second cutting edge opposite the first cutting edge. A pipe cutting assembly is provided and includes a first base, a second base separate from the first base, and a cutting insert interchangeably couplable to the first base and the second base to perform a first cut with the cutting insert coupled to the first base and a second cut with the cutting insert coupled to the second base. A pipe machining apparatus is provided and includes a tool support, a first cutting tool base and a second cutting tool base interchangeably coupled to the tool support, and a cutting insert interchangeably coupled to the first cutting tool base and the second cutting tool base.
HOLE CHAMFERING DEVICE
The present disclosure belongs to the field of machining of chamfers of holes. The hole chamfering device includes blades in bilateral symmetry and a blade distance adjusting, through the blade distance adjusting, the distance between the blades on the left side and the right side can be adjusted, thus, after the blades on the left side and the right side of the hole chamfering device process chamfers on the front face of a hole, the distance between the blades is reduced to enable the blades to pass through the hole to process chamfers on the back face of the hole, after processing of the chamfers on the back face of the hole is completed, the distance between the blades is reduced, the hole chamfering device not only can chamfer the front face of the hole, but also can chamfer the back face of the hole.
