Shaft securing mechanism for a tool
A securing mechanism is provided for a tool that allows for the attachment and release of the shafts of a variety of implements from the tool. The mechanism has a construction that provides an easily releasable, but secure engagement of the implement shaft within the mechanism while also having an alignment feature which engages the implement at multiple locations when engaged with the mechanism to maintain the alignment and concentricity of the implement shaft with regard to the mechanism and the tool when in use.
Mine drill system with adapter
A system for securing different first and second drill tools to a drill head including a socket is provided. The system includes a chuck adapted for positioning at least partially within the socket of the drill head, the chuck including a first opening for receiving the first drill tool. An adapter is configured for forming a selective locking engagement within the first opening of the chuck, the adapter including a second opening for receiving the second drill tool. The selective locking engagement may comprise a twist lock engagement, and the adapter may be arranged for receiving a roof bolt. Related methods are also disclosed.

Clamping system and base, collet chuck and rotary tool therefor and method for mounting the rotary tool in the clamping system
The invention provides a clamping system (1) for a rotary tool (70), for example a milling cutter or drill. The clamping system (1) includes a base element (10), a collet (30) and a clamping nut (50), said clamping nut (50) friction-locking the rotary tool (70) within the base element (10) with the collet (30). In order to avoid a relative rotation of the base element (10) and the collet (30), the clamping system (1) has a form locking anti-twist protection which blocks a rotation of the collet (30) relative to the base element (10).
Quick-change system for a tool holder
A quick-change system for a tool holder comprises a machine-side receiving fixture having a hollow-cylindrical extension on which a switching sleeve is displaceably held. Automatic angular alignment of the tool holder upon introduction into the hollow-cylindrical extension of the receiving fixture is enabled by an alignment of the points of the star-shaped end face on the cylindrical holding portion of the tool holder, upon impact against a first set of three balls angularly spaced 120 apart. Once the tool holder has aligned itself in this way, then the first balls make their way into the longitudinal grooves of the cylindrical holding portion, whereby a rotationally fixed coupling is achieved. Upon the further insertion into the hollow-cylindrical extension, an axial securement finally occurs when a second set of three balls are displaced radially inward into associated depressions on the cylindrical holding portion.
