Miter bar pocket hole jig systems and methods
Jigs, fixtures, accessories, and the like for locating, aligning, guiding, engaging, and/or holding a workpiece on a woodworking machinery during a woodworking operation are described, as well as methods of making, modifying, and using jigs, fixtures, and accessories.
Mini pocket hole jig system
A pocket hole jig system is formed of a plurality of jig segments, wherein each jig segment includes a main body having a drill guide and a lock feature that protrudes outward on a first side of the main body and a recess that protrudes inward on a second side of the main body. The system also includes one or more spacers that have a main body of varying width and a lock feature that protrudes outward on a first side of the main body and a recess that protrudes inward on a second side of the main body. Jig segments and spacers may be connected together by inserting the lock feature of a jig segment or spacer into the recess of an adjacent jig segment or spacer. In one arrangement opposing jig segments and/or spacers lock together with a combination of rotational movement as well as sliding movement.
DRILL GUIDE WITH CANTING BASE AND DOWEL JIG ATTACHMENTS
This invention includes a drill guide (drill depth stop and alignment tool), canting base attachment, and self-aligning dowel jig attachment that allows users to drill holes to prescribed depths into flat work surfaces using various sizes of twist and auger bits while eliminating marring and reducing wood splintering. The canting base attachment allows users to drill holes to prescribed depths and at variable angles into flat surfaces and both large and small cylinders with no free ends using various kinds and sizes of drilling tools without marring. The dowel jig attachment allows users to drill dowel holes to prescribed depths in edges and faces of work pieces that are evenly spaced apart by numerous gauged distances and at infinitely adjustable distances from edges. This invention has drill press-like capabilities and can be used in the field and in shops.
Tube Notching Apparatus With Adjustable Positioning Features
A rotary tube notching apparatus is provided that is capable of operable attachment to a powered rotational drive device. The apparatus comprises a tube support assembly defining an aperture for receiving a tube and having a clamp for securing the tube against movement in relation to the aperture. A shaft assembly is provided for receiving a cutting tool, and a carriage assembly is rotatably mounted to the shaft assembly. The carriage assembly has at least one fastener for securing the shaft assembly in relation to the aperture. The shaft assembly is selectively repositionable in relation to the aperture in an offset dimension defined by linear displacement from a central axis of the aperture, in a yaw dimension defined by a plane extending along a central axis of the aperture, and in a roll dimension defined by a cross-sectional circumference of a tube received within the aperture.
HANDHELD POWERED POCKET HOLE DRILL SYSTEM
A handheld powered pocket hole drilling system is provided. The system includes a base assembly having a plate. The plate has a drill bit opening extending through the plate. The system includes a drilling assembly and a drill bit connected to the drilling assembly. A drill guide assembly is operably connected to the base assembly and the drilling assembly. The drilling assembly is movable along the drill guide assembly to extend and retract the drill bit through the drill bit opening at an angle. An actuating assembly is operably connected to the drilling assembly. The actuating assembly is configured to move the drilling assembly and drill bit between a retracted position and an extended position. In some arrangements, the actuating assembly moves a drilling assembly and drill bit rearward and downward to the extended position and a handle of the actuating assembly is moved forward and downward.
TOOLS AND METHOD FOR FORMATION OF AN APERTURE IN A PANEL
A method includes drilling a first aperture in a panel that extends between a panel first surface and a panel second surface. The first aperture projects into the panel along a first centerline from the panel first surface. The first centerline is angularly offset from the panel first surface by a first angle. A first tool is arranged with the panel. The first tool includes a support structure, a locator and a drill guide. The locator is mounted to the support structure and projects into the first aperture. The drill guide is mounted to the support structure and is arranged adjacent the panel second surface. A second aperture is drilled in the panel using the drill guide. The second aperture projects into the panel along a second centerline from the panel second surface to the first aperture. The second centerline is coaxial with the first centerline.
Pocket hole jig
A pocket hole jig contains: a body, a holder, and a fitting sleeve. The body includes at least one accommodation orifice configured to house a driller, each accommodation orifice tilts downwardly and extends toward a bottom of the body, wherein the body also includes a first marking portion arranged on a first side surface thereof. The holder includes an operation room in which the body is fitted and moves relative to the holder, at least one through groove formed on a bottom of the holder so as to correspond to the at least one accommodation orifice, and a first scale section arranged on a first side surface thereof and aligning with the first marking portion. The fitting sleeve is fitted with the driller, and the holder further includes a depth scale section for measuring depths of holes drilled on wooden workpieces by the driller.
APPARATUS FOR FORMING A CHANNEL IN A WORKPIECE
An apparatus for the formation of a channel in a workpiece located at a first face of a base of the body of the apparatus, the channel formed by a drill assembly of the apparatus connected to drive means located on a second opposing side of the base, the drill assembly and drive means mounted so as to be movable in a guided manner with respect to the base. The movement is achieved by manual movement of a gripping means of an actuation means of the apparatus with respect to the base, so as to cause one or more flexible connecting members of the actuation means which are positioned intermediate the gripping means and drill assembly to move and advance the drill assembly towards the workpiece. The channel is formed in accurate manner which then allows the same to receive securing means typically to allow a joint between first and second workpieces to be accurately formed.
POCKET HOLE JIG
A pocket hole jig that provides a vacuum attachment for waste debris removal is provided. A pocket hole jig that allows for adjustably positioning a clamp assembly is provided. Methods of operating pocket hole jigs are provided as well.
