Bi-Directional Roller Corrugating Tool Holder
A cutter insert tool holder effects bidirectional linear cuts on a work surface. The tool holder includes two elongated slots sized to accommodate first and second cutting insert holders. The tool holder includes an actuator arm that is placed in a first pivoting position by contacting the work surface while the tool holder is displaced along the work surface in a first direction, the pivoting actuator arm causes an actuator cam to contact and engage the second cutting insert holder so that it is withdrawn while the first cutting insert forms a cut in the work surface. When the tool holder is displaced along the work surface in a second direction opposite the first direction, the pivoting actuator arm causes the actuator cam to contact and engage the first cutting insert holder so that it is withdrawn while the second cutting insert forms a cut in the work surface.
Cutting insert, cutting tool, and method for manufacturing machined product
A cutting insert in a non-limiting embodiment may include a first surface, a second surface, a third surface and a land surface. The first surface may include a first corner and a first side extended from the first corner. The land surface may be located between the first surface and the third surface and inclined relative to the first surface and the third surface. The land surface may include a first land surface located along the first corner, a second land surface located along the first side, and a third land surface having a concave shape which is adjacent to the second land surface and located further away from the first land surface than the second land surface.
TOOL SYSTEM
A tool system includes a machine-proximal shank configured to be introduced into a driven tool receptacle and containing a device for transferring a rotating movement to be picked up from the driven tool receptacle. A tool-proximal shank is configured as a tool holder or to have a tool holder releasably connected thereto. A gear mechanism disposed between the machine-proximal shank and the tool-proximal shank is configured to transfer a rotating movement transmitted by the device in a reduced manner to the tool-proximal shank. At least one insert seat configured on the tool holder for receiving an interchangeable cutting insert is provided on an end face of the tool holder extending transversely to a longitudinal axis of the tool holder. A method for machining a workpiece is also provided.
Cutting insert adaptor and tool assembly
A cutting insert adaptor for an insert pocket can include one or more pairs of opposing insert abutment surfaces and pocket abutment surfaces which converge at an acute angle. The one or more insert abutment surfaces are all rotated in the same direction, relative to their paired pocket abutment surface which in turn rotates a cutting insert abutting the cutting insert adaptor relative to an orientation the cutting insert would have if it only abutted the insert pocket instead of the cutting insert adaptor.
COOLANT SUPPLY MECHANISM
A coolant supply mechanism is attachable to a cutting insert. The cutting insert has a first bottom surface, a first upper surface, and a first side surface. The first upper surface includes a corner portion that is located at a corner of the first upper surface when viewed in a plan view and that is contiguous to the first side surface so as to form a cutting edge, and a center portion located adjacent to the corner portion on a side opposite to the cutting edge when viewed in a plan view. The first upper surface is depressed toward the first bottom surface side at the center portion.
TOOL HEAD IN HEAD REPLACEABLE CUTTING TOOL
Provided is a tool head in a head replaceable cutting tool configured on the basis of a novel idea so as to allow external measurement to be easily performed, while allowing cutting performance to be maintained. The tool head in the head replaceable cutting tool has a substantially cylindrical shape, and can be fastened to a shank held on a machine tool, and moreover includes an insert mounting seat on which a cutting insert is to be detachably mounted, the tool head further including a point, a line, or a surface that defines a reference surface from which a cutting edge of the cutting insert has a predetermined length to a predetermined portion thereof.

INDEXABLE CENTER DRILL STRUCTURE
An indexable center drill structure comprises a holder, an insert, and at least two screws. The screws are locked to at least two screw holes of the holder and at least two positioning holes of the insert. Through cooperation of two positioning posts and two positioning notches of the holder and the insert, the insert is fixed and locked to an insert attachment seat of the holder in a longitudinal direction and in a transverse direction. Thus, the locking strength between the insert and the holder is increased, and the overall structure is simplified.
Cutting insert, cutting tool, and method for manufacturing cutting-machined product
A cutting insert has: an upper surface; a lower surface; a side surface, having a first surface and a second surface disposed opposite each other between the upper surface and the lower surface; and a first cutting edge. The lower surface has a plurality of slots extending from a side of the first surface to a side of the second surface. In addition, when viewed from a side of the lower surface, if the angle between a ridge line on which the upper surface and the first surface intersect and an imaginary extension line of the plurality of slots is defined as θ1, and the angle between a ridge line on which the lower surface and the first surface intersect and the imaginary extension line is defined as θ2, then θ2>θ1.
