20230045564 · 2023-02-09 ·

Provided is a gripping method including: a phase matching step of matching tool relief grooves of a contact metal member and track grooves of a constant velocity universal joint component with each other in phase; a measuring step of measuring phase differences between the track grooves of the constant velocity universal joint component and a female spline of the constant velocity universal joint component; a matching step of matching, based on a result of the measuring step, a stopper with a recessed portion of the female spline having the smallest phase difference and gripping the constant velocity universal joint component by a collet chuck. Under a state in which the constant velocity universal joint component is gripped by the collet chuck, the contact metal member holds the constant velocity universal joint component.

The present disclosure provides a spindle structure including a base, a spindle, a sliding member, a restoring mechanism, and a restriction member. The spindle is rotatably received in the base and forms a receiving room. An end of the receiving room is a blind end communicating exterior via a gas channel. The sliding member is slidably received in the receiving room, and two ends thereof are a piston and a driving portion respectively. A gas cavity is defined between the piston and the blind end. The sliding member tends to move toward the blind end due to the restoring mechanism. The restriction member is connected to the driving portion and radially deforms when the sliding member slides so as to fix or to release the tool-holder. The sliding member slides outward when the gas cavity is injected with gas via the gas channel.

A clamping device for releasably holding a tool holder shank is formed with an engagement bore in a rear end, and includes a housing having a bore in a forward end for receiving the tool holder shank, a drawbar reciprocally movable inside the housing and which in a forward end is provided with engagement means arranged to engage with an engagement formation inside the engagement bore of the tool holder shank, and which is formed with a drawbar aperture extending through the drawbar in a transverse direction of the same, and a cam shaft extending through the drawbar aperture. The cam shaft includes three cam formations and more precisely first and second spaced apart cam formations, which are journalled in seating apertures in the housing on opposite sides of the drawbar, and an intermediate third cam formation located between the first and second cam formations and positioned within the aperture of the drawbar. The drawbar is insertable into the bore from the forward end.

Chuck and clamp with quick change function
09821377 · 2017-11-21 · ·

A chuck with a chuck body having a guide opening and an actuating element, and with at least one interchangeable clamp that can be inserted into the guide opening. The clamp has associated therewith a rotary disk with a blocking element that secures the rotary disk against rotation relative to the chuck body during insertion of the clamp into the guide opening. This makes it possible that, upon a rotation of the clamp about the longitudinal axis in the guide opening, a segment can be displaced outward toward the chuck body by the rotation relative to the rotary disk, via which the clamp is detachably secured on the chuck body. A clamp with a clamp body, a pivot body located in the clamp body, and a chucking element is also provided. The clamp has, at the opposite end of the clamping element, a locking unit that carries the pivot body.

A ring holder system comprising a ring holder base with a body that can be oriented horizontally and vertically on a flat work surface. The base includes a single mandrel extending from a front end face of the base, angled upper tool mounting surfaces circumferentially offset from a top surface of the base, and a flat rear end face for resting the base in a vertical work orientation on a flat surface. A horizontal tool adapter mount is configured to be removably mounted on one of the angled upper tool mounting surfaces, and a vertical tool adapter is configured to be mounted on the bottom surface of the base in the vertical work orientation. The mandrel includes a threaded mounting ring at an inner end of the mandrel adjacent the front end face of the base for mounting accessories such as vises and pitch cups rotatably on the mandrel in the vertical work orientation.

A clamping assembly includes a collet adapter and an expansion sleeve movably disposed in collet adapter and a draw pin movably disposed in the expansion sleeve. The expansion sleeve cooperates with the draw pin to define a containment system configured maintain the expansion sleeve within an axial envelope and a radial envelope within the collet adapter. Axial movement of the draw pin in the expansion sleeve within the axial envelope causes a portion of the expansion sleeve to expand radially outward to a predetermined maximum diameter to releasably clamp the collet in the collet adapter.

Inner clamping means comprising a secured clamping segment ring
11440105 · 2022-09-13 · ·

A clamping arrangement for fixing workpieces, having a housing with a clamping cone and a clamping segment ring with a plurality of clamping segments. The clamping segments are movable radially relative to one another via joint axial movement relative to the clamping cone. An ejector pin is provided for removal of the clamping segment ring from the clamping cone. A contact region for reception of or contact with a distal end of the ejector pin is provided on an end face of at least one of the clamping segments, which contact region is designed such that the ejector pin restricts outward mobility of the clamping segment in the radial direction in a positive locking manner when the distal end of the ejector pin is arranged in the contact region.

An expanding collet device can selectively clamp a workpiece to a workpiece support and can include an arbor, expandable collet and threaded screw actuator. The threaded screw actuator mechanism can include a support, drawbar, socket and a pair of thrust bearings. The drawbar can be connected to the collet and can extend into the support. An outer circumferential portion of the drawbar can oppose and be spaced away from an inner circumferential portion of the support. The socket can surround the drawbar and can include external threads engaging internal threads on the support such that rotation of the socket relative to the support displaces the socket in the axial direction. The socket, support, and drawbar can be configured such that rotation of the socket relative to the support displaces the drawbar in the axial direction such that the drawbar moves the collet between the released position the clamped position.
