PIPE CUTTING APPARATUS
A pipe cutting apparatus has a substantially rigid annular frame adapted to be coupled to a pipe to be cut. Means for cutting the pipe is removably associated with the annular frame. A mechanism is included to move the cutting means with respect to the annular frame about an axis of revolution designed to substantially coincide with a longitudinal axis of the pipe.
Pipe cut-off tool and accessories for such tools
Power tools such as cutting saws with rotary powered blades are described. Also described are various accessories for tools used with cylindrical workpieces such as pipes are described. The accessories include a clamp and saw joint assembly, various quick connection assemblies between a saw and a clamping system, a plunge guide assembly, a latch plate assembly, an interlock switch, a blade guard system, and a chip management system or chip deflector. Also described are related methods of use.
Stick Cutter
Hockey sticks or other tubular shafts have historically been cut using a hack saw with the shaft resting on the lip of a garbage can resulting in slow and inaccurate cuts. A new device for cutting a shaft comprises a holder for receiving the shaft, and an arm rotatably mounted at an end of the holder. The holder includes an internal passage, sized to receive the shaft, which extends outwardly through an opening at the end of the internal passage. A set of jaws are mounted on the rotating arm, each jaw includes a saw blade extending across the opening perpendicular to the shaft. The jaws are spring biased together at a first end for engaging the shaft, whereby relative rotation of the arm and the holder results in the saw blades sawing the end of the shaft off with high precision. Each jaw may include a lever arm extending from a second end thereof configured to receive an application of a user force to overcome the spring bias force to enable the set of jaws to be separated for mounting the shaft therebetween.
Cutting device for cutting a cylindrical workpiece
A guide carriage for a cutting device for cutting a cylindrical workpiece. The carriage has a tool carrier for the cutting device and a tensioning member which wraps around the workpiece and is guided over a tensioning element. A tensioning device disposed on a chassis acts on the tensioning element. The tensioning device exerts a tensioning force on the tensioning member via the tensioning element. The tensioning member, a belt, is secured non-displaceably on the periphery of the workpiece. The chassis is movable in the peripheral direction of the workpiece along the belt. The belt bears a connecting element, by which the belt is closed. The connecting element is not fully traversable by the guide carriage. In order to be able to execute a full cut over the periphery, the tool carrier enables the cutting device to be mounted in a first and alternatively a second working position.
Pipe Milling Machine - Feed Deactivation
A pipe milling machine for separating and/or cutting a pipe to length is disclosed. In an embodiment the pipe milling machine includes a milling wheel configured to separate the pipe and a motor configured to generate a feed of the pipe milling machine and to drive the milling wheel, wherein driving the milling wheel is independent of separating the pipe.
Pipe Milling Machine - Directional Stability
A pipe milling machine for separating and/or cutting a pipe to length is disclosed. In an embodiment, the pipe milling machine includes a drive unit configured to generate a feed force to the pipe and a holding device configured to hold the pipe, wherein the holding device is mountable around the pipe, wherein the drive unit engages in or touches down on the holding device, wherein the feed force is transferred to the holding device in a location, which contacts the pipe or which is adjacent to a location which contacts the pipe, and/or wherein the drive unit is guided by the holding device.
Pipe cutter
Cutting devices and associated methods are described. In one aspect, a cutting device includes an annular support body defining an axial space into which a pipe to be cut can be inserted, the body formed of a rigid material and including a blade-bearing portion and a non-blade-bearing portion, wherein the blade-bearing portion is secured to the non-blade-bearing portion by a hinge mechanism allowing the two portions to be movable between an open position in which a pipe can be inserted, and a closed position in which the pipe is engaged by the body, wherein a part of the blade-bearing portion spaced from the hinge mechanism includes a blade that protrudes radially inwards of the body, such that in use the urging of the two portions towards the closed position urges the pipe against the blade so that rotation of the cutting device around the pipe cuts the pipe.
DRAWING DEVICE FOR DRAWING A TOOL
Drawing device for drawing a tool (T), comprising: a support (2), provided with rests (21), structured to be slidably arranged in contact with an inner wall of a tube, and an attachment (22) for a tool (T); a cursor (3), movable along a longitudinal direction (Y) between at least a starting position and a return position; magnetic means (4), predisposed to magnetically constrain the support (2) and the cursor (3) with respect to the displacement along the longitudinal direction (Y).
