METHOD FOR DETERMINING A SHARPNESS CONDITION OF A SAW CHAIN OF A CHAIN SAW
The disclosure relates to a method for determining a sharpness condition of a saw chain of a chain saw. The saw chain includes at least one cutting link having an upper cutting blade. An upper cutting blade image of the upper cutting blade of the cutting link is recorded using an imaging device. An evaluation of the upper cutting blade image is performed using an evaluation unit, which includes an artificial neural network. A sharp condition and a dull condition of the saw chain are defined in the evaluation unit. The saw chain is assigned on the basis of the upper cutting blade image using the artificial neural network to the sharp condition or the dull condition.

GUIDE DRESSER, CUTTER HEADS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
There is provided a guide dresser for milling a saw guide, the guide dresser comprising first and second cutter assemblies that are slidably mounted on a rail or slide system so as to be adjustable, in operation, between an open position and a closed position. There is also provided cutter heads and methods for milling a saw guide.
CHAINSAW SHARPENING DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD
The present general inventive concept is directed to a chainsaw sharpening device including a cutting tooth sharpener, a base coupled to the cutting tooth sharpener, a first side member coupled to the base and configured to face a first side of a chainsaw bar, a second side member coupled to the base and configured to face a second side of the chainsaw bar, and a guide member coupled to the base and configured to be slidable along a plurality of top plates of a respective plurality of cutting teeth of a saw chain mounted on the chainsaw bar, wherein the chainsaw sharpening device is configured to be moved to a desired cutting tooth of the mounted saw chain to perform a sharpening procedure without being fixed to the chainsaw bar.
Chain Saw Chain Sharpening Device
A device for sharpening the cutting teeth of a chain saw includes a frame having an upper web and first and second side walls, and an open area defining a sharpening area. The device further includes at least one clamping member operable with at least one of the first and second sidewalls of the frame for securing the frame to the guide bar of the chain saw. The device still further includes a second clamping member movably supported about the frame, which operates to engage a chain saw tooth of a chain and to fix its position within the sharpening area. The second clamping member includes a tooth stop for adjusting the position of the chain saw tooth within the sharpening area. The tooth stop includes a pawl support block and a pawl having at least one working portion engageable with the chain at different positions along a lateral axis of the pawl support block to provide clearance for a sharpening tool within the sharpening area.
Vibrating chain saw sharpener
A vibrating chain saw sharpener for sharpening a saw chain that includes a cylindrical body portion; a ring portion connected to and encompassing an intermediate portion of the cylindrical body portion; a flange portion extending away from a bottom portion of the cylindrical body portion; and a hand-held power tool removably connected to an upper portion of the cylindrical body portion. Vibrations transmitted from the hand-held power tool to the ring portion are conveyed to the tooth of the chain saw, wherein the tooth is sharpened by the vibrations conveyed thereto.
Chainsaw Push Vise
A vise for securing a chainsaw in a fixed position for field repairs and resharpening the cutting elements on the chain of a chainsaw. The vise is one piece body of generally rectangular shape with two upwardly projecting legs spaced wide enough to accept a chainsaw bar with one leg having a threaded hole and the opposing leg has a raised area. Protruding from the body downward is a tapered tang with serrated/ridges in the tapered side tang, the vise is then pushed into a piece of wood that has a slot cut into it with a chainsaw. the push vise provides a versatile device not limiting the user to just one surface, is safe to carry on your person and is easily and quickly anchored and removed.
Multi-functional chainsaw field maintenance tool
A multi-functional tool that is particularly useful for in-field service and maintenance of a chainsaw, the tool having a handle section and a head section, wherein the handle section includes a plurality of tubular openings adapted to receive a multiplicity of repair tools, such as a chain file, depth gauge, screwdriver, wrench tool, etc., without requiring the removal of all other tools. The head section includes a pair of spaced-apart spikes to allow the tool to be secured to a wooden structure, such as a tree stump and a clamp to secure the chainsaw while service or maintenance is performed. The multi-functional chainsaw field maintenance tool further includes a device to facilitate transport of the multi-functional tool, such as a belt clip, shoulder strap or magnetic attachment device.
