The apparatus includes: a base portion; the pair of electrodes each having a contact portion configured to contact with the workpiece in one direction continuously or at a plurality of spaced-apart portions thereof; an electrode holder, to which the pair of electrodes are fixed; and a four-bar linkage provided between the base portion and the electrode holder and configured to rotate to tilt the electrode holder around an axis orthogonal to the one direction by a reaction force received by the electrodes from the workpiece. The four-bar linkage includes a first link located closer to the electrode holder, a second link located closer to the base portion, and third and fourth links. The first link is shorter than the second link, and the third link and the fourth link are equal in length.
AUTOMATED WELDING SYSTEM FOR INTERCHANGEABLE WELDING HEADS
An automated welding system includes a support structure, a plurality of welding heads, and a controller. The plurality of welding heads are each removably, mechanically coupleable to the support structure. The controller is configured to control welding operations of the automated welding system based on an identity of a particular welding head of the plurality of welding heads that is mechanically coupled to the support structure and operably coupled to the controller.
PROJECTION WELDING ELECTRODE HOLDER WITH ADJUSTABLE INSTANTANEOUS EXTENSION STROKE
A projection welding electrode holder has a holder body, a holder barrel, and a coned-disc spring. The holder body is configured for attachment to a welding machine and defines a holder body bore. The holder barrel is carried within the holder body bore and has a holder head that extends therefrom for attachment to a welding electrode. The holder barrel is movable relative to the holder body between a first position, in which the holder head extends from the holder body bore a first distance, and a second position, in which the holder head extends from the holder body bore a second distance, the first distance being greater than the second distance. The coned-disc spring resides within the holder body bore, biases the holder barrel toward the first position, and is compressed by movement of the holder barrel from the first position to the second position.
Single-sided welding head
Described herein is a single-sided welding head including a first welding electrode and a second welding electrode, where the first and second welding electrodes are carried by a body of said welding head. The first welding electrode is movable relative to the body of said welding head at least along a first coordinate of motion. The second welding electrode is movable relative to the body of said welding head at least along a second coordinate of motion; where said first coordinate of motion is a coordinate of angular motion that develops about a first axis of rotation, and said second coordinate of motion is a coordinate of linear motion that develops along a first axis of translation.
SIGNAL MODULE AND SIGNAL RELAY DEVICE
A signal module and a signal relay device that can suppress the effect of noise are provided, and the signal module is a signal module of a tool changer including a first coupling member to be detachably attached to a body side of an industrial robot and a second coupling member to be detachably attached to a tool side, the signal module including a signal relay connector attached to the first coupling member or the second coupling member, and upon the first coupling member and the second coupling member being coupled, forming a signal path between the first coupling member side and the second coupling member side, wherein in the signal relay connector, a plurality of terminal pairs to be used for communication using differential signals are provided, and two terminals of each of the terminal pairs are arranged at mutually-adjacent positions.
RESISTANCE WELDING DEVICE, HOLLOW ARM, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING HOLLOW ARM
The present invention relates to a resistance welding device, a hollow arm, and a method of manufacturing a hollow arm. A welding gun is provided with the hollow arm for holding a movable electrode. The hollow arm includes an arm body having a cavity portion that is opened on one side, and a cover attached to an opening end surface of the arm body so as to cover an opening of the cavity portion. The arm body and the cover are secured by a friction stir welding portion extending along a peripheral part of the cover.
A WEIGHT BALANCING GANTRY
A weight balancing gantry has a tower having a fixed length radial arm pivotally coupled from a pivot point at an upper end of the tower. An angle strut acts between the tower and the radial arm across the pivot point. A pivot point pulley is located at the upper end of the tower and a weight balancing mechanism located at the tower. A bogey runs along the radial arm and has a bogey pulley. A positioning mechanism at the radial arm has at least one controlled cylinder for positioning and holding the bogey along to the radial arm. A cable runs from the weight balancing mechanism, up across the pivot point pulley and over the bogey pulley to attach to an industrial tool.
METHOD OF RESISTANCE SPOT WELDING AND RESISTANCE SPOT WELDING APPARATUS
The present disclose provides a method of resistance spot welding that can inhibit Liquid Metal Embrittlement-induced cracking in zinc-coated steel plates irrespective of the plate thicknesses. One aspect of the present disclosure provides a method of resistance spot welding that includes welding a workpiece with a resistance spot welding apparatus. The workpiece includes two or more steel plates in an overlapping state. The two or more steel plates include at least one steel plate coated with zinc. The welding includes causing a cooling rate of a high-tensile steel plate among the two or more steel plates to be higher than a cooling rate of an other steel plate among the two or more steel plates. The high-tensile steel plate has a tensile strength higher than a tensile strength of the other steel plate.
Joining apparatus for panel sheets and joining method for panel sheets using the same
A joining apparatus for panel sheets and a joining method for panel sheets using the same are provided. The joining apparatus includes an element punching device which stores and supplies elements according to a specification of a panel sheet and inserts the element into a first panel sheet among different types of panel sheets. Additionally, a welding device resistively welds a part of the first panel sheet into which the element is inserted by the element punching device.
