Method for producing corrugated cardboard blanks, and device
The invention relates to a method for producing blanks from paper, cardboard, paperboard, corrugated cardboard, or plastic. The method according to the invention does not process panels or sheets into blanks in a multistage process but rather produces the blanks directly from the material web i.e. the corrugated cardboard web or from the paper, paperboard, plastic or cardboard web. The machining process is scalable. Advantageously, the method according to the invention can be adjusted in terms of the required production or packaging quantity by the juxtaposition of additional processing centers in terms of production speed and quantity.
MICROPERFORATION METHOD WITH A MOVING WEB
A method is proposed for producing a packaging, having a method step of microperforation of a flexible material as a packaging film, comprising: provision of the flexible material as a packaging film, transport of the flexible material over a transport section, provision of a laser in order to generate a perforation of the flexible material with its beam. For a packaging with improved gas exchange, a laser system with a wavelength in the range of from 150 nm to 1064 nm, preferably from 355 nm to 532 nm, is used for the laser, and the perforation with the laser is carried out during the movement of the flexible material of the packaging film during the transport.
Method for manufacturing mouthpiece lining paper
A method for producing a diffusion-optimized tipping paper for tobacco products, especially filter cigarettes, by plasma perforation of the web of tipping paper for the purpose of maximum carbon monoxide reduction, wherein the diffusivity and the permeability P of the perforated tipping paper are measured in-line and diffusivity is maximized by controlling the perforation parameters, the definable target permeability P.sub.soll being maintained at all times.
Method for curing solder paste on a thermally fragile substrate
A method for curing solder paste on a thermally fragile substrate is disclosed. An optically reflective layer and an optically absorptive layer are printed on a thermally fragile substrate. Multiple conductive traces are selectively deposited on the optically reflective layer and on the optically absorptive layer. Solder paste is then applied on selective locations that are corresponding to locations of the optically absorptive layer. After a component has been placed on the solder paste, the substrate is irradiated from one side with uniform pulsed light. The optically absorptive layer absorbs the pulsed light and becomes heated, and the heat is subsequently transferred to the solder paste and the component via thermal conduction in order to heat and melt the solder paste.
System and Method for Variable Perforation Profiles in a Stack of Lottery Tickets
A method and associated system are provided for producing a perforation line between adjacent lottery tickets in an automated production line wherein a substrate having lottery tickets printed thereon is conveyed through a perforation station in the production line. A perforation machine in the line is controlled to define a perforation line between the adjacent lottery tickets. The controlling process includes inputting control variables into a controller associated with the perforation machine, the control variables relating to conditions that determine a desired perforation profile of the perforation line. The controller programs the perforation machine with a specific perforation profile for the perforation line that is generated based on the entered control variables, and changes the perforation profile upon inputting of different values for the control variables. The perforation profile is specifically tailored to the control variables between different ticket production runs, or between tickets in the same ticket production run.
System and Method for Variable Perforation Profiles in a Stack of Lottery Tickets Based on Fold Pattern
A method and associated system are provided for producing a perforation line between adjacent lottery tickets in an automated production line wherein a substrate having lottery tickets printed thereon is conveyed through a perforation station in the production line prior to being folded into a Z-fold pattern for subsequent packaging. A perforation machine in the line is controlled by a controller for defining the perforation lines, wherein the control process includes determining the perforation lines that correspond to fold lines in the Z-fold pattern and, for these perforation lines, programming the perforation machine to generate a second perforation profile that is different from a first perforation profile of non-fold perforation lines that lie between the fold lines in the Z-fold pattern. The second perforation profile is specifically tailored to produce a stronger perforation line to compensate for weakness induced in the perforation line from being folded.
IMPROVED HINGE LID CONTAINER WITH LID FLAP
A hinge lid container (10) for consumer articles comprises a box (12) and a hinge lid (14) connected to the box along a hinge line and pivotable about the hinge line between a closed position and an open position. The hinge lid comprises a first lid wall (16) and a lid flap (18) depending from the first lid wall along an edge fold line, the lid flap being folded inward towards the inner surface of the first lid wall. The container is at least partially formed from a blank having a thickness (T), the laminar blank defining an edge fold portion of the container connecting the first lid wall and the lid flap. The inner surface of the edge fold portion defines an ablation area (A) having a length in the longitudinal direction of the edge fold portion and a width (W) extending transversely to said length.
LABEL IMAGING AND CUTTING
The present invention discloses a method and apparatus for imaging and cutting a label from a linerless label substrate 6, the substrate 6 comprising: a paper or polymeric film base layer; a colour change layer, incorporating a colour change compound operable to change colour in response to illumination by a laser 1; an adhesive layer; and a release layer adapted to have low adherence to the adhesive layer. The label substrate 6 is transported from a storage reel to an imaging area. At the imaging area, the label substrate 6 is selectively illuminated by laser 1 to form an image in the colour change layer. Subsequently, further laser illumination is used to cut the label substrate 6 thereby providing a single label for application to an object. The invention is characterised in that the laser spot size is varied for imaging and cutting.
