METHOD FOR LASER WELDING TWO COATED WORKPIECES
A method for laser welding two coated workpieces includes positioning an upper workpiece and a lower workpiece on top of each other and passing a first laser beam over the upper and lower workpieces from a side of the upper workpiece so as to at least partially evaporate the respective coating of each of the workpieces on their facing sides along a depletion trace. A second laser beam is passed over the workpieces from the side of the upper workpiece so as to melt a material of the two workpieces within the depletion trace, and thereby weld the workpieces to one another. In the first laser passing, the first laser beam melts the material of the upper workpiece, so that a web of non-melted material of the upper workpiece remaining between the melted material of the upper workpiece and the facing side of the upper workpiece.

LASER PROCESSING DEVICE FOR FORMING VIAS
A laser processing device for forming vias has a galvo mirror module, a first lens, a second lens, a focusing module, and a laser source. The laser source emits a laser beam through the first lens and the second lens to convert the laser beam into an incident ring beam. The galvo mirror module reflects the incident ring beam into a reflected ring beam into the focusing module to convert the reflected ring beam into a Bessel-like beam. The galvo mirror module has a scanning direction and shifts a reflection direction of the reflected ring beam to move an end of the reflected ring beam along the scanning direction. The focusing module has a third lens linearly slid along the scanning direction to reduce variations in shape and laser fluence of the Bessel-like beam focused at different positions.
MANUFACTURING METHOD OF TAILORED BLANK AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF AUTOMOBILE PART
In a manufacturing method of a tailored blank including a first steel plate and a second steel plate to be joined by butt welding, the first and second steel plates are butt welded with a laser beam. The laser beam has a power density q1 in a first region, a power density q2 in a second region, a power density q3 in a third region, and a power density q4 in a fourth region. The power density q1, the power density q2, the power density q3, and the power density q4 satisfy a relationship of q1>q2>q3>q4.
METHOD FOR LASER MACHINING A WORKPIECE AND ASSOCIATED LASER MACHINING SYSTEM
A method of laser machining a workpiece includes the steps of: radiating a laser beam onto at least one workpiece, the laser beam having a core beam and a ring beam extending coaxially with one another, wherein the laser beam is moved over the workpiece along a pre-determined machining path, and adjusting a laser power of the core beam and/or a laser power of the ring beam as a function of a position of the laser beam on the workpiece. An associated laser machining system is also disclosed.
MELT POOL MONITOR
An additive manufacturing system may include an energy source, an optical system to modify and direct an energy beam from the energy source toward a component to form a melt pool, and a material delivery device to deliver material to the melt pool. The optical system may form an annular energy beam, direct the annular energy beam toward the component, receive at least a portion of thermal emissions produced by the annular energy beam and the melt pool, and direct the portion of the thermal emissions toward an imaging device, which may be used to control the energy source.
Laser welding method
A method for laser keyhole welding is disclosed to weld two pieces together made of a metal alloy. The method independently adjusts power in a focused center beam and power in a concentric focused annular beam. At the termination of a weld, the power of the annular beam is reduced, motion of the focused beams is stopped, the power of the center beam is increased, and the power of both beams is initially ramped down rapidly and then ramped down slowly. Increasing the power of the center beam equalizes the temperature of both pieces prior to solidification and cooling at the termination of the weld. An additional pulse of power may be applied to prevent the formation of defects or to erase any defects.
Method for Realizing High-Speed Cladding of Hollow Offset-Focus Annular Laser
A method for realizing high-speed cladding of hollow offset-focus annual laser. The method includes the following steps: dividing laser into annual light, and forming an offset-focus annual light spot after the annual light is focused, which acts on a surface of a matrix; during cladding for the surface of the matrix, selecting laser parameters according to different materials; after every cladding, making a shift by 20-80% of the diameter of the light spot in a vertical direction of a scanning speed of the laser; in the cladding process, selecting shielding gas for protection, and blowing the shielding gas to the molten powder in the air to spray the molten powder in air towards the surface of the matrix at a certain speed so that the cladding layer and the matrix are bonded firmly, and cladding the surface of the matrix to form a coating layer.
