BEAM ROTATION DEVICE AND SYSTEM
20220395932 · 2022-12-15 · ·

The beam rotation device described herein has a base support with a first vertical jaw arm, a second vertical jaw arm, and a support arm. The second vertical jaw arm may be pivotally coupled to the device so as to go from a first, closed position to a second, opened position to receive a steel beam (e.g., I-beam). Once the steel beam is placed within the device, the support arm may hold the beam stationary to allow a worker to weld or perform other tasks. It will be appreciated that multiple beam rotation devices may be coupled together and work in tandem to receive and rotate a beam. The beam rotation device creates a safer working environment than the rotators found in the art by having a pivotable second vertical jaw arm that may open to receive a beam and a support arm to hold the beam during fabrication.

METHOD FOR TRANSPORTING FLAT MATERIALS TO BE WELDED IN THE PRODUCTION OF A WELDED BEAM AND DEVICE FOR SAME
20220305595 · 2022-09-29 ·

A method is provided for transporting flat materials to be welded together, specifically a first flange and/or a second flange and a web for producing a beam through a welding station. The flat materials are aligned and guided by rollers. A slide is arranged upstream of the welding station in the run-through direction and a gripper is arranged downstream of the welding station. The slide introduces the flat materials into the welding station and moves them as far as a first position by means of a pushing movement at an advancement speed. The gripper grips the flat materials at the first position, and pulls the flat materials out of the welding station at the pulling speed and moves them as far as a second position by means of a pulling movement. The slide is arranged upstream of the welding station and the gripper is arranged downstream of the welding station.

Techniques and devices are disclosed for fabrication layout device. The device includes a table with a work surface. The work surface being a continuous surface and configured to support a plurality of railing pieces for fabrication of a railing assembly. The device further includes a beam located above the work surface. The beam is operatively coupled to the table, such that the beam moves relative to the work surface in a first direction. Attached to the beam is an ink dispenser. The ink dispenser is configured to move along the beam in a second direction different from the first direction. The ink dispenser is further configured to dispense ink onto the work surface of the table in the form of a pattern of the railing assembly. Railing pieces are positioned on the pattern so that they can be assembled to one another.

Structural member

A structural member is provided that includes a steel sheet with a tensile strength of 980 MPa or higher overlying another metal plate and joined thereto by welding, where a break initiating near a welded portion is less likely to be produced. A structural member (10, 10a, 10b, 10c) includes: a first member (1), the first member being a steel sheet with a tensile strength of 980 MPa or higher; a second member (2) overlying the first plate (1), the second member being a metal plate; a plurality of welded portions (3, 31, 32); a plurality of heat-affected zones (5, 51, 52) each formed to surround the corresponding one of the welded portions (3, 31, 32), the heat-affected zones having a Vickers hardness lower than that of the first member by 50 HV or more. A pair of edge sections (4) of the first member (1) are provided between adjacent heat-affected zones (5, 51, 52). The pair of edge sections (4) of the first member located between the adjacent heat-affected zones (5, 51, 52) extend to cross a line (LC1) linking the adjacent welded portions (3, 31, 32).

Hollow structure with flange

A hollow structure for installation as cross member or longitudinal member in a motor vehicle includes a hollow member which is made of light metal and has at least one hollow chamber. The hollow member has a wall which is formed with a slot. A flange sized to extend through the slot has a leg configured to rest by a formfit against a side of an inner surface area of the hollow member and at least one area which is coupled to an outer surface area of the hollow member.

PRODUCTION LINE OF H-SHAPED STEEL AND PRODUCTION METHOD

The present disclosure relates to the technical field of production of H-shaped steel and discloses a production line of H-shaped steel and a production method. By arrangement of the assembly zone in which a welding line is arranged and the welding zone in which a welding line is arranged, a process layout of assembly and welding flow type machining production line can be formed. Assembly and welding of a stiffening plate are operated independently, and a carrying robot, a spot welding robot and a welding robot are movable between stations. A transfer device transfers an H-shaped workpiece in the process of feeding, machining and discharging, thereby implementing flow type machining, which can effectively improve machining efficiency. Through the production method, the assembly and welding flow type machining of the stiffening plate can be implemented, thereby effectively improving machining efficiency.

Method for forming large-diameter special-shaped cross section thin-wall tubular part

A method for forming a large-diameter special-shaped cross section thin-wall tubular part. A tailor welded barrel blank is adopted as an original blank for forming of the large-diameter special-shaped cross section thin-wall tubular part. After a desired shape is formed, the original weld joint is removed and butt joint tailor welding is performed on the tubular part again. Since the tailor weld joint of the original barrel blank is removed from the final part, there is no need to consider the consistency or coordination of the microstructure of the weld joint and the base metal during the forming process and the subsequent thermal treatment process.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A WELDED T-BEAM OR I-BEAM PROFILE
20220297242 · 2022-09-22 ·

A method for producing a welded I-beam profile includes providing a first flat material as a first flange of the I-beam profile, providing a second flat material as a second flange of the I-beam profile, and providing a third flat material as a web of the I-beam profile. The method includes aligning and guiding the first flange between first flange guiding rollers, aligning and guiding the second flange between second flange guiding rollers, and aligning and guiding the web between web guiding rollers. JOINT METHOD

A joint method includes a groove formation step of removing part of a first projection and part of the second projection to form a groove region between the first projection and the second projection, a first welding step of joining a first member and a second member to each other by butt welding, and a second welding step of filling the groove region by buildup welding. The groove formation step forms a first inclined surface in the first projection facing the groove region to be gradually distant from a joint position joined with the second projection so as to be closer to an outer surface of the first projection, and forms a second inclined surface in the second projection facing the groove region to be gradually distant from the joint position joined with the first projection so as to be closer to an outer surface of the second projection.
