An iodine-containing cyclic compound including no carboxy group and including one ring skeleton or a plurality of ring skeletons forming a fused ring in one molecule, is provided. The ring of the ring skeleton includes only a carbon atom, or a carbon atom, and a nitrogen atom and/or an oxygen atom, and an iodine atom is bonded to at least one of the atoms constituting the ring of the ring skeleton.

The compositions are prepared as aqueous solutions or suspensions, and can be applied to the aluminum surface using conventional printing techniques. Rheology of the printable composition can be adjusted to provide a gel or a cream. Curing steps, if necessary, are performed at low temperatures that are compatible with plastic/polymer components of mass produced devices, such as aluminum RFID antennae.

LIQUID METAL PASTE CONTAINING METAL PARTICLE ADDITIVE
Some implementations of the disclosure are directed to liquid metal pastes that can be used as thermal interface materials. In one implementation, a liquid metal paste configured to be applied as a thermal interface material between electronic components, includes: 92.5 wt % of 99.9 wt % of a liquid gallium or liquid gallium alloy; and 0.1 wt % to 7.5 wt % of a powder of metal particles, the metal particles including Ag, Au, Cu, W, Ti, Cr, Ni, Cu or Ni. The liquid metal paste can also include an organic compound coating a surface of the metal particles, the organic compound configured to prevent the metal particles from forming an intermetallic compound with the liquid gallium or liquid gallium alloy.
Solder Paste and Solder Joint
Provided is a flux for a solder paste that can prevent peeling from electrode, which is seen in a component, a thickness of which is reduced, such a semiconductor package like BGA. Rosin, a glycol-ether-based solvent, an organic acid, a thixotropic agent, a halogen compound, and an imidazole compound are contained and the halogen compound is either an amine hydrohalide or an organohalogen compound or a combination of them. Their addition amounts stay within a range satisfying a formula of 2.5-X-0.625Y≧0 in which the addition amount of the amine hydrohalide is indicated by X (weight %) and the addition amount of the organohalogen compound is indicated by Y (weight %). However, the addition amount X of the amine hydrohalide and the addition amount Y of the organohalogen compound are such that 0≦X≦2.5 and 0≦Y≦4, excluding a range of 0≦X<0.02 and 0≦Y<0.1.
Lead-free solder paste
As electronic equipment has become smaller in size, printed circuit boards which cannot be subjected to cleaning have been developed, and a no-clean lead-free solder paste is becoming necessary. In order for a solder paste not to require cleaning, it is necessary that the color of the residue be transparent and that the residue be non-tacky. A maleated rosin, which is a rosin suited for no-clean paste, has a high acid value so it is not suitable for a flux for lead-free solder. As a means of suppressing a reaction between a flux containing a maleated rosin and a Sn—Ag—Cu based solder alloy powder, a Sn—Ag—Cu—Sb based solder alloy powder is used which adds 1-8 mass % of Sb to a Sn—Ag—Cu based solder alloy. As a result, it is possible to provide a solder paste which has the excellent effect that the solder paste does not easily undergo changes over time and has a long pot life.

A solder alloy is provided which can withstand the severe characteristics of a temperature cycle between a low temperature of −40° C. and a high temperature of 125° C., withstand an external force applied due to, for example, riding on a curb or collision with a vehicle ahead for a long period of time, and can suppress change in viscosity of a solder paste over time. In addition, a solder paste, a solder ball, and a solder preform in which the solder alloy is used; a solder joint formed through the use thereof; and an on-board electronic circuit, an ECU electronic circuit, an on-board electronic circuit device, and an ECU electronic circuit device which include this solder joint are provided. The solder alloy contains, by mass %, 1% to 4% of Ag, 0.5% to 1.0% of Cu, 1.5% to 5.5% of Bi, 1.0% to 5.3% of Sb (or greater than 5.5% and less than or equal to 7.0% of Bi and 2.0% to 5.3% of Sb), 0.01% to 0.2% of Ni, 0.0040% to 0.0250% of As, and a balance of Sn.
Resin composition for soldering, resin flux cored solder, flux coated solder, and liquid flux
A resin composition for soldiering is provided. The resin composition includes 1 wt % or more and 40 wt % or less of a dimer acid, a trimer acid, or a combination thereof, 30 wt % or more and 99 wt % or less of a rosin, and 0 wt % or more and 13 wt % or less of a solvent. The dimer acid is selected from a dimer acid that is a reaction product of oleic acid and linoleic acid, a hydrogenated dimer acid obtained by adding hydrogen to a dimer acid that is a reaction product of oleic acid and linoleic acid, and a combination thereof. The trimer acid is selected from a trimer acid that is a reaction product of oleic acid and linoleic acid, a hydrogenated trimer acid obtained by adding hydrogen to a trimer acid that is a reaction product of oleic acid and linoleic acid, and a combination thereof.
