A complex machine tool for cylindrical workpieces has a bed, a headstock assembly, at least one supporting assembly, and at least one machining assembly. The bed has three tracks being respectively a first track, a second track, a third track arranged in order. Each one of the three tracks defines a respective guiding direction, and the three guiding directions of the three tracks are mutually parallel. The headstock assembly is connected to the bed, and is located near one of two ends of the second track. The at least one supporting assembly is mounted on one of the three tracks and is used for supporting the cylindrical workpiece. The at least one machining assembly is mounted on one of the three tracks, is slidable along the track, and is located on a position at a spaced interval from the at least one supporting assembly.

According to the invention, at least two side faces (10, 11) of the profile (1) that are located opposite one another with regard to the vertical plane of symmetry (VSE) of the bridge enclose a non-zero angle (a) of less than 180° that opens in the direction of the machining region, at least over a part of the height of said profile (1).

A system for moving a cutting device gantry or similar structure on a material processing machine can include a mounting structure configured to be operably coupled to the gantry and a drive assembly movably coupled to the mounting structure. The drive assembly can be configured to move the mounting structure and the gantry in a first direction relative to a gantry guide shaft of the material processing machine. The drive assembly can also be movable relative to the mounting structure in a second direction, perpendicular to the first direction. In some embodiments, the system includes one or more guide wheels rotatably coupled to the mounting structure. Each of the guide wheels can include an annular outer portion having curvature configured to complimentarily engage the gantry guide shaft. The annular outer portion can be resiliently deformable and configured to conform to the gantry guide shaft during movement of thereon.

A machine tool comprises a frame, which carries a fixed gantry for supporting at least one tool spindle. The gantry comprises a gantry recess, through which a working space is accessible. The one or more tool spindles on the gantry can each be moved vertically in a first direction and in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. The machine tool further comprises a workpiece table with at least one location for supporting workpieces. The workpiece table is movable in translation in a third direction Y orthogonal to the first direction and the second direction. At least one tool magazine is associated with the at least one tool spindle tool spindle. Tools for tool changing can be fed through at least one magazine opening in the gantry. Tool changing between the one or more tool spindles and the at least one tool magazine takes place in a pick-up process.

A machine tool includes: a movably configured saddle; and a bed having a sliding surface supplied with a lubricant and allowing the saddle to slide thereon, and receiving the weight of the saddle. The sliding surface has a recess continuously extending in a direction in which the saddle moves. By this configuration, a machine tool which easily holds a lubricant on a sliding surface and a method for producing a structure for the machine tool having the sliding surface are provided.
