A textured surface in an outer surface of a tool holding section of a tool holder for increasing a surface area of the outer surface for dissipating heat from the tool holding section. The textured surface can comprise grooves around the outer surface of the tool holding section with a height and a width. Notches can be provided in sides of the grooves to further increase the surface area of the outer surface for dissipating heat from the tool holding section.
CONSTANT TEMPERATURE WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM
A constant temperature water supply system that adjusts water from a water supply source to a constant temperature by a constant temperature water supply apparatus and supplies the water to a processing apparatus. The constant temperature water supply apparatus is provided with water temperature adjusting units that adjust processing water and cooling water to predetermined temperatures and temperature adjustment control units that reset predetermined temperatures of the water temperature adjusting units. The processing apparatus is provided with water temperature detectors that detect the water temperatures of the processing water and the cooling water and water temperature managing units that each calculate the temperature difference between the water temperature detected by the water temperature detector and a desired temperature set in advance.
COOLANT DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
A coolant distribution system uses two premixed streams of coolant at either extreme of a concentration range, and mixes these two streams in the correct percentage to obtain the desired concentration. Mixing the two streams follows a pulse width approach, and the system may use a manifold to deliver fluid to multiple machines.
Power tool, such as a portable circular saw, having improved braking and cooling
A power tool, for example, a portable circular saw, includes a fan, a motor configured to rotate the fan, an output part or shaft driven by the motor, a motor housing that houses the motor, a grip housing connected to the motor housing, a trigger associated with the grip housing, and a brake member configured to brake a rotation of the motor, the brake member being mounted inside the grip housing. The brake member may be a resistive element of a rheostatic braking system. The housing and fan are configured such that cooling air is directed to cool the brake member.
ROLLING BEARING
A rolling bearing (1) including: an inner ring (2) and an outer ring (3) which are bearing rings; a plurality of rolling elements (4) interposed in a rollable manner between raceway surfaces (2a, 3a) of the bearing rings; and a retainer configured to retain the plurality of rolling elements (4), wherein a nozzle (10) configured to inject a cooling fluid (R) toward the rolling elements (4) is provided to a fixed-side bearing ring which is one of the inner ring (2) and the outer ring (3), with an outlet (10a) side of the nozzle (10) oriented forward in a revolution direction of the rolling elements (4).
AIRFOIL MACHINING
Disclosed is a method for machining a component, comprising: installing the component on a fixture, causing a medium of the fixture to solidify to encase a first portion of the component, applying a toolset to a second portion of the component that is outside of the solidified medium, and subsequent to applying the toolset, extracting the component from the fixture when the medium is in one of a liquid state or a semi-liquid state, where the medium has a melting-point temperature that is less than 500 degrees Fahrenheit. Disclosed is a fixture for machining a component, comprising: a medium configured to encase a first portion of the component when the medium is in a solidified state, and a toolset configured to be applied to a second portion of the component that is outside of the solidified medium, the medium having a melting-point temperature that is less than 500 degrees Fahrenheit.
FIXTURE CLAMP MANIFOLD APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR USING
