SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HONING A SHAFT
A system for honing a shaft is provided. The system includes a rod having an axis and a head coupleable to the rod. The system also includes a drive motor coupleable to the rod such that the rod and the head are rotatable via the drive motor. The system further includes a linear actuator coupleable to the rod such that the rod and the head are translatable along the axis while being rotated via the drive motor.
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY STRAW AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
The invention teaches an environmentally friendly straw and its manufacturing method. The straw includes a tubular body having a through channel inside connecting two openings respectively at two ends of the tubular body, an outer layer surrounding the tubular body between the two openings formed by a leveling machine, an inner layer, as an inner wall of the tubular body, surrounding the channel formed by a honing machine. The straw is manufactured by leveling the tubular body, and honing the channel by a honing machine. As such, a smooth layer between the channel and the tubular body is achieved so that the straw is convenient to clean and use.
HONING MACHINE
A honing machine for honing a bore in a workpiece comprises a support structure fixed to the machine and at least one honing unit which is mounted on the support structure and which has a spindle unit (150) in which a spindle shaft (152) is rotatably mounted, wherein the spindle shaft (152) is rotatable about a spindle axis (155) by means of a rotary drive (450) and, at a tool-side end (153), has a device for the fastening of an expandable honing tool. The honing machine furthermore comprises a stroke drive for generating a stroke movement of the spindle unit (150) and an expansion drive (550) for expanding the honing tool, wherein the expansion drive is coupled to an advancing rod (460) which runs in the interior of the spindle shaft. The spindle unit (150) has a spindle unit housing (310) which has a first housing portion (310-1) for accommodating the rotary drive (450) and a second housing portion (310-2) for accommodating the expansion drive (550). The rotary drive (450) is accommodated in an exchangeable first cartridge (400) and the expansion drive (550) is accommodated in a second cartridge (500) which is exchangeable independently of the first cartridge (400), wherein the first cartridge (400) is introducible into the first housing portion (310-1) and the second cartridge (500) is introducible into the second housing portion (310-2).
Method for producing rotationally symmetrical, non cylindrical bores using a honing tool
A method and suitable honing tools for honing conical bores are proposed.
Device and method for the finishing machining of an internal face of a workpiece
Device and method for the finishing machining of an internal face of a workpiece, such as the track of a ball screw, including a workpiece holder and a finishing tool held on a finishing tool holder. A rotary drive is provided, by which the workpiece holder and the finishing tool is rotationally driven relative to one another about a rotational axis. A linear drive is provided, by which the finishing tool held on the finishing tool holder and the workpiece holder is driven in a translatory manner relative to one another along the rotational axis. An oscillating drive is provided, by which the finishing tool held on the finishing tool holder and the workpiece holder is driven in an oscillating manner relative to one another in the direction parallel to the rotational axis and wherein the finishing tool is pivotably held on the finishing tool holder about a pivot axis.
