Grinding jig for a blade tool
A grinding jig for holding a blade tool having an edge in a grinding machine. The grinding jig may have a first and a second clamp half arranged to hold between them at least a portion of a blade tool. An elongate support portion may support the grinding jig onto a support bar of a grinding machine. The elongate support portion may comprise a front end abutment surface and a rear end abutment surface. The front and rear end abutment surfaces may be spaced to receive a portion of a support bar such that the grinding jig may be moved back and forth relative to the support bar in a direction parallel with its longitudinal center axis.
Support element for use in combination with a grinding apparatus for sharpening an edge tool
The present disclosure presents a grinding apparatus for sharpening an edge tool. The grinding apparatus may comprise a grinding apparatus casing; a cylindrical grindstone and a support element. The cylindrical grindstone is removably attachable to the grinding apparatus casing. The support element is also removably attachable to the grinding apparatus casing for supporting the edge tool to be sharpened during the grinding operation. The support element includes an elongated member, which may be embodied as a cylindrical support bar. The cylindrical support bar may be configured to extend in a direction which is perpendicular to the rotation axis of the cylindrical grindstone, during operation, in such way that a grinding operation is enabled where the edge tool to be sharpened can be sharpened by means of the side surface facing outwardly from the grinding apparatus casing during the grinding operation.
Powered sharpener with user directed indicator mechanism
A tool sharpener has first and second guide surfaces to respectively support a cutting tool adjacent first and second abrasive surfaces. A drive assembly moves the first and second abrasive surfaces with respect to the first and second guide surfaces. A control circuit directs a user to place the cutting tool against the first abrasive surface using the first guide surface to sharpen a cutting edge of the tool during a first sharpening operation. The control circuit activates an indicator mechanism at a conclusion of the first sharpening operation to direct the user to perform a second sharpening operation in which the user presents the cutting tool against the second abrasive surface using the second guide surface to sharpen the cutting edge.

The present invention relates to a bench grinder apparatus. The object of the invention is to provide a bench grinder apparatus and a method for safe and exact grinding of tools, and at the same time minimizing the damage to the tools and to the user during grinding. Bench grinder apparatus for grinding tools comprising: —at least one grinding wheel with a grinding surface arranged in a wheel casing, where the wheel casing is provided with one working opening which provides an access to a part of the grinding surface, —an operational means arranged in relation to said grinding wheel, capable of rotating the grinding wheel, —at least one tool rest moveably attached to the wheel casing, and arranged in a predefined distance to the grinding wheel, —at least one angle adjustable means capable of moving the tool rest in said predefined distance to the grinding wheel from a first grinding angle position to a second grinding angle position.

Processing apparatus
A grinding apparatus has a hermetically sealed chamber defined by a portion of a holding surface which extends radially outwardly from a wafer, an outer wall surface of a first annular packing, a lower surface of a plate, and an inner wall surface of a second annular packing. A negative pressure is developed by suction forces applied from the holding surface, allowing the atmospheric pressure to press the plate toward the holding surface and causing the first annular packing to press an outer circumferential portion of the wafer against the holding surface. Since the outer circumferential portion of the wafer is pressed against the holding surface under the suction forces from the holding surface and the atmospheric pressure, the forces pressing the outer circumferential portion of the wafer against the holding surface are increased easily at a low cost without increasing the size and weight of the grinding apparatus.

WORKPIECE HOLDER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A ROTATIONAL-SYMMETRICAL TOOL
Workpiece holder (3) for coupling a workpiece (2) provided with reference surfaces (30) to a machining device (200) for manufacturing a rotational-symmetrical tool (1) with at least one geometrically defined cutting edge (10), the workpiece holder (3) comprises a machine part (31) configured to be connectable to the machining device (200) in a releasable rotationally fixed manner, a clamping part (32) configured to receive and clamp the workpiece (2) in a releasable manner. The clamping part (32) of the workpiece holder (3) comprises at least one slot (40) provided at a circumference thereof and configured to provide access to the reference surfaces (30) of the clamped workpiece (2) therethrough.
BLADE GRINDING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A method of grinding a plurality of tufting blades of a blade assembly is disclosed. The plurality of tufting blades can be received within a blade block during grinding. The blade assembly can have a first axis, a second axis that is parallel to the first axis, and a third axis that is perpendicular to each of the first and second axes. Each tufting blade of the plurality of tufting blades can have a length that extends along the first axis, a width that extends along the second axis, and a thickness that extends along the third axis. The plurality of tufting blades can be spaced from each other along the third axis. The blade block can include at least one fastener that is configured to retain the plurality of tufting blades in respective fixed positions relative to the blade block.
